Wow! we could've used that...

Has anyone tried the portable water filters while at Disney?

I lived in FL for years and remember how bad the tap water tasted, and just can't imagine such a product could really make the water taste as good as bottled. Not to mention how dirty water fountains are...and especially at Disney where it's super hot and thousands of mouths must use them... :sad2:

Second thought, I'll stick to the $2/bottle charge and know I'm drinking clean, tasty water.

I went to the water website. Looks good. Have you tried these before?

Did you buy the whole bottle or just the filters? :confused3

last year we went and I only had one of the bottles. it was a life-saver!! I bought a couple more bottles, and we went on a cruise after that, and they really worked well. You can taste the difference!! tastes great.

I bought the sport bottles with the filters. I got the family pack. You get a free bottle and filter.

For our upcoming trip, I have bought rain pounchos in a 2-pack at the dollar store, a mister fan a Walmart ($5.00), a light-up mini fan (only $1.50 at Target on clearance after X-mas) and disposable cameras for $1.00. I feel like such a cheapskate.

Don't feel like a cheapskate, most of stuff I am taking is from the dollar store. Not sure what I did before them!

What I can't believe is that these products have been out FOREVER, and I've never heard of them.

Why aren't they brought to the public's attention or at least gynocologist's? I can't believe the difference.

Such a big difference from the traditional products out there.

Okay,
So I wasn't going to talk about this on this thread, but since you brought it up again . . . I've never heard of this product, but had to Google after reading this thread. So, don't flame, as I am just seeking further clarfication.

Now let me get this straight, let's say you are at a public restroom such as WDW. You do your business in the stall. THEN, you need to pull up your drawers and hope for the best while you're "cup-less", come out of the stall to rinse, and then go back in and replace? That doesn't seem too convenient, nor would I want to have others see me rinse. Seems kind of gross for others to have to view this. Am I missing something?

Well, now that you mentioned it. I was kind of thinking the same thing. Seems like it would be find for home use, but not very convenient or discreet for a public restroom. I don't consider myself prude to these type of things...I teach human sexuality to middle and high school students. So I was aware of the product...it's just not for me.

sounds like you would need the stall w/sink inside like the handicapped stall. Has anyone out there tried it and not loved it?

TP, unless you enjoy using sandpaper. :goodvibes

Oh, and cottonell wet wipes too.

One thing I'm taking that I haven't seen here are those packets you freeze for the cooler. Yesterday, I bought 2 for $1 at Dollar General. I'm planning on freezing them in the hotel fridge (that is, if there is a freezer compartment) and putting them in a plastic bag when I go to the parks. I will let you know in 2 weeks if it works.

Thanks for all the tips! I've made a list, so I'm off to go shopping for my trip on Monday. :mickeyjum :donald: :tigger: :goofy: :sulley: :stitch:

I always carry pre-cut ( different sizes ) of moleskin for blisters or hot spots and some foot powder. I would periodically thru-out the day, put powder on our feet and it felt like a fresh start.
Also, cheapie water camera for the water parks. :thumbsup2

Now I've got a stupid question. How do you put moleskin on without hurting your blister more?

I am going to pack the little bathroom Dixie cups to carry in my backpack. That way we can share drinks without sharing germs. Plus it will save money considering my kids beg for something to drink because they are dying of thirst, then only drink a few sips.

My dollar store has flashlights that don't use batteries. You jusy shake them and a magnet charges it.
