We just headed to the dining room & kept an eye on the door since we were at the entrance to AP. We weren't sure what to expect since after 6 months of hearing about the costume upgrades we all KNEW how seriously the details are taken by the Captain.

My darn job. It just completely interferes with the important things in life. My boss had the nerve to send me to a meeting out of town today. I felt like screaming "Don't you understand, the pirates will post like 30 pages of important stuff and I will be up all night catching up!" The man just doesn't have a clue!

Do any people with the extra plumbing?

Todd was just kidding around, guys. :lmao: Last cruise not everyone had the lime green shirts because face it...some family members just don't understand & don't want to clash. :lmao: We bought the shirts from disneydirect's summer clearance sale online for a little over $4 each. They have the balls with the character colors on the front and we did the ironon on the back. Some people had the other colors too...navy, orange, white, & tourquiose.

Who has the balls?

You mean they had the balls to wear other colors?????:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is what I was thinking.

La in August really isn't that bad (just like San Diego). Occasionally you get a day above 90, but with the sea Breeze most of the time it stays about 78 - 85 when i was stationed there

It is really based on number of passengers and time of year. We booked August 2006 with 4 family members (originally) and it was $10,300. Sarah was only 30 months at the time so she was only charged port taxes and fees.

So for us during close to off-peak season (you start to get price breaks around the 3rd week of August) it wasn't too bad. If we had 7 passengers instead of 4 it would have been closer to $14 - $15k.

The $16k doesn't surprise as long as you are talking 6 or 7 passengers. If it was 4 and DCL told me $16k I would say, "and the horse you rode in on!" :rotfl2:

Slight twitch............. okay I can handle it if its only tonight. If I wake up tomorrow and its the same day I am going to see groundhogs darn it.

I was thinking and picturing Panama temps.

Okay so black for the Pacific, white for the Canal and Caribbean.

Sounds familar.........Would have to look it up on how to get there. Are you an upstater?:)

Grew up in Rochester, (Edison class of 82), My SIL lives in Victor and my sister in Farmington, in the trailer park at Exit 44 of the Thruway..

Jeff said he did the cat 1 for $7K in October and I think Todd said 10K or 12K in June. :confused3

$7k was an extreme case, the normal fare was $10,300. We sailed in 11/05 and had some issues with the room. I called and complained and the CM said I would be receiving a follow-up call from Guest Services after I returned home.

Suprisingly enough I got the call and the CM was very nice. He apologized for the inconvenience and said I can't do anything about your past cruise, but I would like to help you out with your upcoming cruise in 08/06.

He offered 25% off the fare which amounted to $2,300. While on the 11/05 cruise I asked the Sales Manager if she could give me the 10% and $200 OBC even though I didn't book onboard. Her response was you booked a Cat 1 so that shouldn't be a problem. I guess her feeling was you are spending a lot of money so it is the least I can do.

Her discount brought the fare down from 10k to 9k and then with the offer from Guest Services of 25% it reduced it to 7k so I really got a bargain.

Todd so since you hae seen POC more than 50 times what do you say you have the line of the day. Teach us some of the lines of the movie.

What a good negotiator!!!!!! Well if they get poor response from those they call with that pricing would n't they make adjustments?
