Zoo Tag Progress Thread:ALL HERE.. POSTAL 9/4

no pool party here, it was 55 degrees today!!

What? What? 55 degrees.. wow! comfortable temps..
It was 98 and humid as FLA.. I told DH it wouldn't be so bad if I could see Palm trees and Mickey!!!

Quick question (high schoolers are stealing my brain again!! ): On the zoo tag swap (not the book one, just the tags), do we do just the front of the tags? I thought that was right, but I wasn't sure! I think I'm confused again!!

The regular zoo tags are just like momx3boys explained... just one sided like a regular old tag...

Yes, the tags are just one sided. Oh and I got my brain back because my kids went back to school Thursday.

Hey, did you all hear about the MGM name change to DISNEY HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS? Suppose to change Jan. 2008.... Some other changes too.. so maybe we will have to get an early (like before I leave in June) DHS swap... I hope not much changes besides some names and stuff other wise the swap items I have can't be used... This will be our first trip to MGM/DHS!

Yikes! I'll have to use up my "MGM" stuff on the albums I'm working on! You're right, we need to get in another DHS swap (ok, that amuses me, because here, that's "Department of Human Services"--who we call in an abuse case!). I also saw that they were changing the parade. Stars and Motor Cars is now a must see for me on the September trip!

Amy & Nancy--thanks for the info on the tags!! I feel much less confused (or at least, about that) now!!

55 didn't last long it was about 80 today, but no humidity. We shall see what the rest of the week brings.

I have my polar bears done, my Monkeys, 3/4 done, my giraffe's are cut out but not the tags. DH leaves tomorrow so I can Cricut in peace.

It was in the mid 90's today. Not as much humidity..and as the day moved on.. it cooled off a bit...DH did well in it..considering we were out all day...but we took a slow pace..and found that we had a lot more fun!
Let's see.. the zoo trip was great.. I got some more great photos of my meerkats...and several really good ones... of one of the little ones laying on the ground (appropriately on his tummy) posing for everyone.. I need to enlarge them and make sure the reflections are not there... The animals were not so active because of the heat...even the inside exhibits weren't hopping... Also, the desert was cooler than outside! Figure that one out!

We also hit the State Fair.. It was great!! We had dinner there and enjoyed a lot of exhibits. I need to read several of the Department of Education handbooks that are class specific for each grade level and some that were given to DD because this year is the pivotal year to get her ready for high school! Oh, help me!

Oh, good grief, I hadn't thought of that one.. I was more because that is the initials for our local high school. When I go on vacation I want to get away from home.. not have it follow me! Star & Cars will change to Block Party Bash (or something like that in Jan. too).

I'm done!! They are all packed up and ready to mail with the Show/Parade stuff. They will probably go to the post office Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll post and let you know for sure!

Thanks YM! I knew you were like me.. have 20 projects going at once... I need to go get my Meerkats copied...but that'll wait til this evening..so I'll work on the parades today...

I have a list of swappers that are in both swaps so I can mail everything back together!!! (Saves on postage!)

Is everyone putting the name of the animal on the tags, or I guess I should ask if it's required?
