I've actually had incredibly good luck at Heathrow both with my flights and my luggage, so I shouldn't say anything bad. After all, it isn't O'Hare (or Orlando)

I was more concerned about 'pretending to fly' meaning that they cancel my pretend flight and I'd be stuck at the airport for three days waiting for them to schedule me on another imaginary flight.

Actually they have got a lot better after the summer security issues

OK, here are some pictures from last weekends' Catalina Jazz TRAX festival. There are 5 sets of 2 performers running over 3 days. We normally split the tickets with Alicia's sister - but it was a rough ferry ride - and we simply were not in much of the mood this time - so we only atended 3 of 5 concert sets. However, the 3 sets we sat in on were fantastic performances. It helpswe were in the first row almost center on! The hotel was decent if not pricey for what it was - and never again shall we take this smaller sized ferry. It was very uncomfortable. My DS 10 loves Mythbusters (I do too!)

Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, and Man vs. Wild - family entertainment in my house.

I know it is strange, but I really enjoyed advanced math - stuff like multivariate calculus and non-euclidean geometry were a blast.

I don't even know what any of that is.

Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, and Man vs. Wild - family entertainment in my house.

Yup! Same shows here and they are much to be prefered over Hannah Montana and Suite Life of Zack & Cody. DS8 watches those Disney Channel shows when he can't find anyting he likes on Discovery, History or TLC. I keep telling DH we should get a TIVO (or digital cable with a DVR) just to avoid ever having to watch Hannah Montana again! If we recorded the stuff he likes, he wouldn't bother with the Disney shows.

Theoretically, we should be able to use the VCR for this, but at least half the time when I program it, it doesn't record or only part of it records or something. I can program a computer, handle all the features of my digital camera, create websites from scratch .... but I can't program the *&^% VCR!!!

Wow, you guys are really busy with the posts! I have not been able to keep up, so I am hoping that all are doing well. Things have gone into full gear since school started. Swimming takes up six day a week, and my middle son is having trouble with pre-calc and refuses to go for extra help (he has a teacher that is not so great), so that leaves us to try and see that he is getting the material. My hubbie has calculus 30+ years ago, and I never took it! He will pass, but it's a struggle! Since this is his jr. year, it's really important.

Got to run and get him from the PSATs! Have a great weekend!
