OK....now the GREAT news! Blake called me yesterday and said, "I tried calling you a week ago, didn't you get my message?" So I told him what happened....about how I wrote the wrong cell number down and that he didn't answer his home phone, and I really got too busy to try calling the home number again. So, I got the correct cell number and repeated it to him, so that mistake won't happen again, but I told him that some stranger got a "Merry Christmas" text message from me since I had the number wrong! :lmao:

He's been too busy to call too because his daughter and her mother got into a huge fight, the mom dropped her off at his house with all her clothes and belongings and basically told him "I give up, she's living with you now." :scared1: He's been working less hours to spend time with his daughter, trying to console her, etc.

He was calling me on his way to drop his daughter off at her friend's for a sleepover, and this was his first free night without her in 3 weeks, so he asked if I had plans! Sadly, I had to tell him he needs to give me more notice next time because I had a friend there working on my sink and was cleaning to prepare for the party today. :guilty: Blake completely understood and said he'd probably just go have a guys' night out. He's leaving Monday for Florida for work but is coming home Friday morning, and asked if we can tentatively plan to go out next Friday, depending on if his flight gets in on time, and if his daughter will be willing to stay with her mother (she'll be staying with her while he's out of town). :thumbsup2

Then we started talking more about travel, and he asked if I'd ever been to Vegas. I told him yes, but not for about 2 or 3 years, then he told me he'd like to take me with him next time he goes! :scared1: :yay: :woohoo: Umm....YEAH, of course! He says he usually stays at the Bellagio, so I'm up for that!

How cool is that?!

Sounds like fun!! I liked Vegas!!

Woohoo, that sounds so promising Holly!!!:thumbsup2 Bet you couldn't sleep last night.

You should type them in word and save them and then cut and paste when you are done. That way you don't have to type twice, if the connection goes down. Do you have Panera Bread? They have awesome Iced Tea and free internet.

I know it will be hard without cable service, but you will save a lot. At the beach house, I was able to pick up a neighbor's internet connection and they did not have a password. You should check and see if there are any available at home.....you never know.:surfweb: :surfweb:
Well, I don't usually have the connection problem....only at school and since I haven't been here for a while, I forgot. What I do when I'm using the school's internet is just type my post then copy before posting so I can paste if necessary....much quicker than going back and forth between Word and DIS... but I just forgot to do it on that one long post. :headache:

We do have Panera! I love going there and used to use their internet when mine was out of service at home. But to cut expenses, I'd better just head up to school to use theirs because then I won't be tempted to buy something. :thumbsup2 Plus, school is only 2 miles down the road. Very convenient.

I've checked....my neighbors don't have wireless. But I can often check while at work, and can come up to school whenever Tyler's at his dad's. It will work for now.

Oh, I was too tired from a busy week to have any trouble sleeping. :lmao: But I was so excited, I called all my friends last night. I think it's good that I wasn't able to call him because this way he doesn't think I'm chasing him. I do remember he never liked to feel pressured. Of course, he may have changed in that regard, but you never know. And I did mention here that I knew he'd call me again......and HE DID! It's nice how eager he is.

I am really proud of you. Our society has gotten so overwhelmed with stuff like internet and Starbucks. Anyway for you to cut expenses now will only make you feel good about yourself.

Well, I'd better head home. The jewelry lady is coming in 2 hours to set up for the party and I want to eat lunch first and then get some yummy candles going so it smells nice and looks pretty for my guests.

I doubt I'll be back on here today because right after the party I'll be picking Tyler up, then I'm not sure what we'll end up doing. Will find a wireless spot tomorrow at some point to catch up with you all!

Will remember to submit a prayer request at church tomorrow for Micah, Frank, and Tigger1221's grandma.

Have a great day and evening everybody! :grouphug:

Thanks! This is just temporary.....trying to save as much as possible for the cruise. :thumbsup2 I'll be paying it off with my tax refund, but still need to save for passports, airfare and excursions. NOT A PROBLEM.....it can be done. Where there's a will, there's a way! :goodvibes

I am probably one of the few women in the world who doesn't like chocolate. I can handle Hershey Kiss sizes or fun sizes of some candy bars, but that is it.

I fianlly got it...I just mopped the kitchen floor while the girls are still asleep...no little feet tracking through before it dries.

You are not alone, I don't like chocolate either! I only like it if it is in with something, like a snickers.

It's wildcard playoffs this weekend. At 4:00pm is Lisa's Redskins at Kaylee's Seahawks. I'm sure Kaylee will be at the game. Then at 8:00pm is Jaguars at Steelers. A good football weekend....for the next few weeks....all the playoff games untill the superbowl.

Leaving here in an hour or so to head to the game:cheer2: :cheer2: Should be a good one. I guess we are once again being accused of "piping in" crowd noise because we are such a loud stadium:lmao: People just don't understand, the PNW knows how to yell!!!!!

Great xmas pics V.
Angie, glad your DDIL and DGS made it home safely!

Well, Frank is alive.....he made it though again. They put a titanium plate on his breast bone to tie it together. Doctors flew in from different hospitals on the East Coast to watch the surgery...as it is so unusual. They filmed it for training as well. The tube running out of his chest is so wild. Fluid is just pouring out of it. The is just this big hole right where you think the heart is and a big tube (2" diameter) stuck in his chest.

He is in a medically induced coma. We have a date to watch the Redskins/Seattle game at 4pm. They are going to try and wake him up this morning from the coma.....
You sound like me...lost 40 pounds still want to lose 10 more. It sure feels good to have at least some of the pounds gone. I put on size 12 jeans this morning and they were falling down.....I put on a belt to hold them up. :lmao:

!)

Lisa, great news about Frank! and congrats on the weight loss!

Holly, great news about Blake....sounds like next weekend you will finally get to meet face to face and have that "first" date:cheer2: :cool1:

Happy Saturday everyone!!

Lisa - glad to hear the update on Frank....keep us updated, and remember to try to get some "you" time in too. Continued prayers headed your way. BTW - no fair that the size 12 is now too big!! (no really-that's fantastic news). I've just got to get moving on MY weight loss (I'm jealous!)

Kaylee - congrats on nursing school, that is a huge accomplishment.

Jackie - I'm still planning on having you come with me for SNUBA!

Holly - great news w/ the Blake situation! Keep us in the loop (I know you will). Good luck w/ the party today. Glad your sink is better :rotfl:

Those of you on the west coast....keep safe, warm and dry.

Angie - glad everyone arrived safely.

V - loved the pics. I'm about to post some myself...finally got them downloaded to photobucket.

Awesome!! after the last month of living at the hospital, the nurses have all just been awesome!! It is such a blessing there are people like you who are willing to serve!! Thank you so much!!

Sounds good for Frank - hope all goes well this afternoon.

Congrats on your weight loss!
I currently own the first belt of my life! My jeans are size 14 now but they really should be 12s and I don't want to buy any new ones until I lose the last 10 pounds- hopinf for a size 10. Heck I wore my big clothes until everyone was complaining I looked like I was wearing hand-me-downs so I broke down and bought the jeans. I've been better about buying work clothes a little more often so most of them are correct/current sizes.

Christmas in MD:

My baby girl with her 1st set of ears! Her dad was surprised to see her name on the back (he's not Disneyfied yet)

Monica, your pictures are just lovely. Isn't Sydney adorable? Even Ian looks so happy to hold her.

. . .good morning all!

Just watched Music and Lyrics...thought it was cute but I love Drew Barrymore and pretty much like everything she is in.
Cute movie. Hugh Grant's '80's group "Pop" reminded me of "Wham."

Looks like it was pizza night last night. I didn't know it and stopped for a mushroom, bacon and black olive pan pizza and brought it home. I should have Dis'ed while eating and joined the party.
