I have lurked around here for months...thanks for all the great tips!
I am off to 11 glorious night in the Grand in the morning and I think I am more excited than the kids! Woohoo! :cool1:

I was wondering if you experts could advise me on the rooms in the SL.
Is there a special room you love?

All of the rooms in SL have either a marina or courtyard view...

The courtyard view over looks the courtyard pool and the grounds...very pretty...and marina view is well -of the marina:laughing:

I like the courtyard view best JMO...

In SL there are also 3 lodge tower rooms...this is a differnt booking category in the other outer lodge buildings BUT in SL it is the same booking category (GV) and by request only... it is a little bigger than the standard...has a small sitting area with a love seat a chair, table and an extra tv...(there are pics on the old thread that Alicnwondrln posted on page 88)

If you have little ones you might like the first floor for convenience to the lounge and pool...the upper floors have a better view though...

SL is a nice building to stay in...the CL service is so nice to have and it is close to everything....

Enjoy your trip...:)

Will you come back and let us know about it?:surfweb:

I agree with Blue Skies. Service in SL is great as is the location. We've always had 3rd floor marina view there which I love. Happy planning!:surfweb:

Will we just have a couple of days left here in Florida and wanted to see the Gingerbread House. Does anyone know if it is open now and what the hours may be? :rolleyes1

It is open now. Hours are 10am to 10 pm. Have fun!

And Welcome to the DIS!!!!:surfweb:

There are no GV rooms in the main building.

There also is not a food court. Gasparilla Grille is the CS place, but it is not a food court. The closest building to Gaspy's and the bus stop would be Sago Cay.

Is Gasparilla a restaurant? Where is it located?

There may not be a way to access it from inside the main building, but it is still a part of it.

:thumbsup2

Yep....It's part of the main building & it's not too difficult to access. :) All you do it go out the back by the GF Cafe...turn left, walk along the building and you're there. :)

From where it's located it's more convenient to the outer lodge buildings then from the rooms in the main building.

With 247 pages and having only read page 1 - I thought I was ask for help before you hit page 250...

Spa treatments - what is your favourite and why?

Thanks.

While your right that it does face the marina, technically it's outside and not in the main building.

What is outside? Some tables are outside but they are also inside where the food is. :confused3

Unless you have that wonderful RPC MK view, right Chan?
I love that back elevator to get to Gaspies and the Marina quickly.
