Pot smokers at DLR

As part of your so called "SoCal Masses", I would like to speak on our behalf. If you have issues with "our" park, then by all means; DON'T COME BACK!

Disneyland doesn't need your business b/c they have plenty of SoCal AP holders to sully Walt's park with their alleged "pot smoking". Stick with WDW and have a great Disney Day!

And for the record - it's not your park. That mentality is the bane of the problem.

If you live in Florida and like Disneyworld better, then why do you venture all the way to California and Disneyland?

You do realize that many, many posters over there are AP holders, right?

There's a whole world outside SoCal. People can travel and go places. I even own an AP for Disneyland Paris too.

And what about all of the premium AP holders? Don't they mess up the park all year long since they don't have blocked out days?

I used to go to the park weekly and I rarely encountered bad behaviors. I also never saw any pot smoking. I don't doubt that it happens in the park (but probably not on rides.) However, I never noticed or encountered it.

Disneyworld has it's share of rude people and horrible-ness too, I'm sure.

Maybe I just don't notice this horrible behavior because I'm not looking for things to complain about. I'm glad I don't go on vacations looking to be bothered by things and people. I am very much looking forward to my upcoming Disneyland trip. I love Disneyworld too, but since our last trip there, I've really been missing Disneyland!

I travel many places in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. (And that means non-Disney places too *gasp!*) But I typically don't frequent places I don't enjoy. I'll give a place a second chance if I hate it the first time but if I hate it the second time, I usually won't go back unless I have to. Even if it's "free", I won't return.

ETA - And I just have to ask, what exactly are you trying to accomplish by posting on the Disneyland section about how awful Disneyland is? You don't HAVE to like Disneyland. Many people don't and that's perfectly fine. I guess I'm just tying to figure out what purpose you have for your constant bashing of a park that people over here truly love. Are you trying to convert Disneyland people into Disneyworld people or something? LOL!

Ok, here we go again..

You are not Disneyland, Disneyland is not you.

Hence, if Soylent Green is People and Disneyland is not Soylent Green, then Disneyland is not People.

I think a good number of people who goto Disneyland, particularly the SoCal APs, ruin the park experience for others. I even mentioned washing them out like grime to pretty the place up. That's no insult to Disneyland.

Not illegal in California by my understanding. You can have it there with a medical card or something.

But it would be illegal to smoke anything inside the ride...

With California having that 'medical' mary jane thing,I doubt they could make them stop smoking it all together. If ADA doesn't make you prove a disability to get a GAC,then they shouldn't have to ask for a pot script.

The GAC helps make a person's experience like the experience of others who don't need the GAC. So there's no proof needed.

The prescription is needed because otherwise it's illegal, and therefore it is a *special* thing that is NOT similar to the experience of others. Just like you have to pay for a parking placard AND have proof of your need for the placard. Being closer to a store, etc, is not like the experience of others, it's something special (that's not quite the word I'm looking for but the sun fried my brain yesterday and I'm not yet 100%), so extra steps are needed for it.

Hey - since when did you conservative SoCal folks allow liberal pot smokers to live down there? I thought they all lived up here in NoCal! :lmao:

Oh...wait...maybe that's just a bunch of STEREOTYPING!!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you typically go to the parks (Disneyland, WDW, etc.) by yourself.

I'm pretty sure pot smoking was why they took out the Skyway to Fantasyland at both parks. When I was in high school, that's where the kids went to smoke it.

I may have missed the answer to my question as I was totally floored by this thread. But if it bothered you so much and you were so close why not say something. I can tell you for a fact my husband nor I would have sat quietly on the ride with my four young daughters one of who is asthmatic there with us. Most of the time when people are called out on there bad behavior they will begrudgingly stop and if not you can always make a scene when you get up to the que. (Which we would have no problem doing.)
Because if people (not Socal pass holder) but people get away with their bad behavior they will continue with it. It's like letting someone take advantage of you.
Do you think in those five boats there would not be one other person who agreed with you and would chime in too.
It's one thing if you want to smoke it but it doesn't belong on the ride in front of kids I mean this is DL for crying out loud it's full of children! I think that is something we can agree on. Perhaps the point of the thread should have been that there was weed being smoked on the ride. Not the assumption that it was Socal pass holders..just a thought.

Nope - how many other assumptions about me are you going to make to try and force me into the pigeonhole you've created that supports your world view and justifies your actions?

Why would you come to the board and make such a bold assumption and then get mad when the people on the board are insulted by your judgment of them? If there is a misunderstanding in what you originally posted you should clarify so that we all can understand you better.

I bet the OP wishes Hong Kong Disney didnt have Asians in it because all Asians poop in the park! Just like when you go to SoCal Disney and all SoCalers Smoke pot in the park, the OP is just stereotyping all people based on the actions of a small group of people.

not that pot should be legal inside the park ..but still your socal massess is not agreeable with me I AM A SOCAL AP HOLDER you gonna have a problem with me also?:sad2:

well good for you.. what do you want a cookie???? :sad2:

What's funny is the hypocritical comments he made up-thread. I seriously LOLed at them. And I'm thinking he's just trying to bait people into arguments. I don't think I'll respond to him anymore because I seriously think internet "arguments" are pretty pointless.

It's also funny that he apparently seems to think I'm a socal AP holder. I'm not. I'm not even an AP holder at all and haven't been in years.

ChickenCarlos - Pooping in the parks? What?!

yeah, they have a huge problem with locals in Hong Kong pooping in the parks, its pretty crazy.

I've heard similar from some Thai friends -- say people just drop trou and go right on the sidewalks in China. I had no idea they'd also do it in Disney parks!

..don't poop where you eat everyone!! RFLOL

just like don't poop where you ride rides!

My family & I just got back from 5 days at Disneyland. On our last day we were waiting for the ART to take us back to our hotel. There was a woman standing quite a distance from the bus stop smoking, yelling to her kids who were sitting at the bus stop. If she hadnt been making such a racket we would never would have noticed her.
My 18 year old daughter told me to take a closer look at what she was smoking, and when I did take a good look & a good whiff I realised she was smoking a joint.
I was astounded- it was 3.00pm in broad daylight in front of about 15 people.
