One one of our cruises a DISer who had a button making maching, kept track for over a year of things that were said and then made buttons for all of us. Some of us had lots of buttons, some of us had a few, but it was a great gift for all!

Do you think you might want to stagger the times by room? Not to complicate things but all of us trooping down the halls might cause quite a traffic jam!!

It´s been really warm in BCN. Today is in the 80´s, hot and sunny. My ipod weather predicts that all next week will be hot and sunny. Found out we do have ac at the Pratik. I asked the desk for a fan and the girl said ¨doesn´t your ac work?¨ Dummy me said that I didn´t know how to turn it on. She told me about the little white remote control that we had thrown all our things on top of. Anyway we have ac and I shorted out my computer. I guess I can´t have it all.

We took the train to Montserrat today. Left early in the morning, took the 7:36. arrived before the tourist buses. We had the whole place to ourselves with about another dozen people. Really easy to do. By 10:30 there were hordes of tourist.

For those of you leaving soon, have a safe trip.

Thanks for the info! How much time did you spend at Montserrat? Can it be done in a half-day, including travel?

We were able to get everything into one checked bag each , one is 46 lbs and the other 48 lbs. We will each have two carry ons. Kathy is working on finishing the pirate costumes and all is packed, except the last minute stuff. We leave tomorrow morning for Portland, OR and will be in Barcelona Wednesday morning .

I am working on putting all of the DIS stuff on my calendar in my phone. Can't believe the time is almost here . Only been waiting two years .

Safe travels all and we look forward to seeing/meeting everyone . We will be on the lookout for the DISers at our hotel (Praktik Barcelona) and then the HRC meet.

After doing a weekly countdown for what seems like forever, it gives me great pleasure ( tinged with a teeny bit of sadness for some reason ) to present to my wonderful DIS friends ..... our last ever weekly countdown ...

It is kind of sad to think that the fun of planning and metting new friends online is almost over

But now i'm am looking forward to meeting you all in person.

Ok ... 4 cases ... don't rub it in !!!!!!

I am trying to squish everything into just 2 big wheeled bags and 2 small cabin bags !!

I'm squezzing mine into wheeled case and cabin bag per person too.

Well that's the plan at the moment...

I'm mid packing, but took a break from packing to catch up on the boards.

As long as we are there (and you trust us not to drink it) - I am good with this! Seems that there is a huge crowd, so if you care about who drinks what, please lable it!!

Might be an idea to set of in groups. folks who are actually using there cabins can go first?

I have printed a few shhets off so we can just leave a few minutes after each other.

I was telling Sarah that Len also bought haggis flavoured crisps for the end of the room tour, Im not sure they will travel all that well and he has probably ate them but the time I get home Well like I told him, its the thought that counts.

I just went to do it and you have to pay to have pre allocated seats if you want to do the online check in. bloomin money grabbers, for a less than 3 hour flight Im not paying for pre allocated seats so I will just wait till we get to the airport, we will have to wait in line to drop our bags of anyway.

You will find it easier just to do it at the airport it was fine really unless things have changed in the last year i would prefer to fly monarch than easyjet who i am flying with

Pausing for a breather so thought I'd pop by and say "hi"...

Most of my packing is done!!! Just the long dresses to be added at the last possible moment, methinks. Can't find my luggage scales (I may have lent them to DD Sophie) but I doubt there will be an issue as the cases themselves aren't overly large - still, can't hurt to check...

Still have to sort out the bling!!! But that shouldn't take long as I have a good idea of what I want to bring. And most of my toiletries are good to go from my last trip - just have to refill a couple of the bottles.

Also I worked out what I'm travelling to Barcelona in - one less thing to think about...

Anyway, better get back to the matter in hand!!! Catch up with you all later...

It is easy to pickup the laundry basket and place it on the bathroom scale. I know how much my suitcase weights so I just add that. It is way easier for me to add and take out from the basket, I don't have to zip and unzip the luggage. Also, my bathroom scale is more accurate then the luggage scale I have.
That said, we leave early tomorrow morning and I am not finished packing, DH has barely started. Cat had to choose yesterday to get sick so spent afternoon at the vets (Bob told me he was just upset about seeing the suitcases). Still haven't made my MCC tees nor magnets. Did get my floors scrubbed and waxed. Sister asked me why I bothered when the cat would just mess up the house (he does). Explained I think it goes back to my mom's "always wear clean underwear in case your in an accident" worry - if I died on the trip I wouldn't want her talking bad about me when she saw my dirty house. Sick I know but then when we were robbed the first think I said was "he saw my dirty dishes". Sick. Val

I think this is normal to feel a bit let down as all the excitement of planning has really passed and the reality of the cruise is here. I am sure once you get on the plane all the excitement will return!!

We got the Balanzza travel scale which seems to be pretty accurate. I do like your method of weighing things and will remember to do that next time we travel.

We are all done packing except John will make magnets today for the final weigh in only because I have been madly packing for weeks.

I am just like you when I travel as I don't want anyone to see anything less than a perfect house. When I leave the house even to go to the store, I want it to be clean and tidy. Unfortunately, my DD will be here so I shudder to see what the house will look like while I am gone. However, she knows me well enough to know what the house better look like when I get home.

I will change sheets on our beds in the morning so we have clean sheets when we return and since no one will in our room other than the cleaning lady, the room should look the same when we return.

Diane and I are finished packing. Leaving in the morning for couple days at WDW.
