We just beat the #1 team in the state 28-21! On our way. Home on the charter bus!

I just cancelled a 1-bedroom at VGC post-cruise. If anyone's on the waitlist, I hope it comes through.

Darn, I just checked and we're still on the waitlist.

I cancelled our two bedroom a while back and waitlisted for a studio or one bedroom. I think our chances are slim to none.

Call to check on it! Sometimes I think that brings the waitlister good luck!

Happy Birthday, Sally!

Good luck on that interview Corinna!

Congrats on the new contract - (sorry, 'out of memory' error in the old lady's brain)

If there's anyone from New Zealand or if Australia carries it and you have room...hahahaha...I have a request. I am looking for some Watties ketchup. I know that sounds strange but it is wonderful and we cannot get it here.

I would gladly pay you in advance. I know that if you can find it you probably don't have room, but you never know so I thought I would put it out there.

Thanks for any consideration! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Scotland beat South Africa today at rugby:worship::worship:
That is AMAZING...........maybe even a miracle.... Go Scotland................

I see I will have a lot of reading to catch up on Monday. But just wanted to touch base, been very busy these past 2 weeks and only skimmed through posts.

Welcome to our new cruisers!

Congrats on those who are finally out of a lifeboat!

Pixie Dust to those who aren't feeling to well

We had some exciting news (to us it is) last week. Our son Dean (23) is in the US Army and based in Texas right now. He informed us that he will get leave for the holidays and get to come home. I told him we are only doing a few decorations, since we would be leaving on January 1st for WDW and we have too much to do. After some careful and constant checking, a plan was put in motion. First time in 13 years we got to surprise him and catch him off guard. He is flying home on Dec. 20 and flying back to Tx on Jan. 4th. When I told him the flight info he was very excited to spend so much time with his family & friends. I had him on speaker phone and my DH & I both told him "You're going to Disney World"!! He thought we were kidding....Merry Christmas! So he'll get to play in the parks for a few days with us before heading back. WOOHOO!!

Hi,

In Australia we have tomato sauce. The main brands are Fountain, Heinz and Masterfoods.

Next time I'm at the supermarket I'll have a look and see if there is any Watties Ketchup. If I am able to find it, I'll get some for you.

Valerie and I haven't stayed there, but Shades of Green is the military Exchange-operated hotel on property. It used to be a golf lodge, so I'm sure the rooms are excellent. Because of its popularity with military families and its reduced price, it may be booked, but is worth a try.

Regardless, be SURE to get your passes there! The best offers may be blacked out during peak Christmas dates (drat!) but can be much less expensive. When we visited last year, it's the first place we went after checking in at Coronado Springs. They gave me a 5-day pass for free (what a nice salute!) and Valerie's was $100. Here are links for the hotel and two of the ticket possibilities.

The lodge has a small exchange, where prices for gifts and groceries are a bit less.

Military discounts info: http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-military.htm

"Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes Pass" tickets (only if staying at SOG or another Disney property): http://www.shadesofgreen.org/StarsStripes.htm

There's also a Military Promotional ticket: http://www.shadesofgreen.org/4DAY2011.htm

Be sure to do a lot of different searches to find the best deal. The servicemember (or spouse) must do the purchasing, on site, and 6 tix max.

That is such wonderful news!!! Have a FANTASTIC TIME!!!

I am so upset and disappointed with myself right now. Last year during open enrollment at DH's job, I someone deleted myself from our dental plan. Okay, no biggie I thought, I'll just make sure to put myself back on during the next open enrollment. I thought one year w/o dental will be okay as I have been going every 6 months, xrays been negative, ect. Well, a few weeks ago, I lost a filling. So I went back and had it refilled. He said he may have drilled too deep, may need a root canal but most likely not. Well, wouldn't you know, it's been just over 3 weeks and I'm having a lot pain. The entire left side of my face hurts constantly, pretty bad at times. I've talked to my mom (she's been an assistant for 30 years) and I've researched online and it sounds like I will need a root canal. And of course it would be a molar which are the most expensive. I just keep kicking myself for goofing up on enrollment. I mean, the pain is bad enough but to know that I'm about to have to shell out no telling how much money when I would have insuranced if I hadn't of messed up is making it that much worse. I just keep hoping that the pain will subside but it's going on 3 days now. Okay, sorry for venting but thanks for listening :sad1:

Just a quick stop in...

Our day was washed out here...my Girl Scout troop was supposed to go to Disneyland today but we had to much rain. It has been postponed to Wednesday.

Tomorrow I get to meet up with Brooklyn at Disneyland :cool1: Should be fun...I love Dismeets!

Today wasn't a total loss...I found a blouse for my DD for pirate night and a dress for Christmas...we went shopping at the local Goodwill store. Some nice stuff!

I also finished all of my Holiday cards for both friends/Family and my clients so those are ready for mailing on Wednesday.

I went grocery shopping and we are ready for our Thanksgiving feast!

And best of all - I have caught up on the lanyard mailing! :rotfl2: I ran a little behind. I am just waiting for a few more people who are sending payment and I will have everything mailed that want it and the rest will be packed and ready for the port. I hope everyone who has recieved them have liked them!

Now..off to enjoy some movies and a good night sleep! We have a family coming to look at one of our foster puppies tomorrow! Send us some pixie dust - he deserves a great home!

We love our lanyards, thanks Des! David and I enjoyed our little DIS meet with you, Suzan and Tony.

Good luck tomorrow with your foster puppy! I was amazed at how much our Lily (puppy) grew over the five days we were at DL.

We used to stay at the SOG all the time before we became DVC Members. they have the biggest rooms on property. they are tax free for stores and tickets. they also book very fast all times of year. so it is not hopeful but you can try. What they dont tell you on the site (or didnt last time i looked) is that you can ask them to book you elsewhere on property. (It doesnt matter if sthey are booked or not, you can ask this) the price last time we did it was about 60% of the rack room rate - and we got bumped to concierge! iow, we got a 280 room for about 165 and then bumped to a 500 room!! so keep this in mind too. if full or even if not, get prices on the place you WANT to stay though sog is lovely, you can walk to polynesian and trans. center too!

have a wonderful time!
