Did you really just compare Jesus to a sex toy?
I hope not. and for your other comment I never experienced the doll lol for I had a real life married woman around.
Did you really just compare Jesus to a sex toy?
Earlier in the week, I rode baby troll Andrew by this blowup nativity scene:
I asked Andrew if he thought Baby Jesus was a Porn Sex Doll like the one I have at home. He looked at me with this strange look. And then I asked him, can you say "Norm is a Moron"? More - On...say it, Andrew! Perfect! Okay, one more time. Repeat after me...Norm is a More - On".[/QUOTE=takeme2epcot;39145438]
Just an opinion............
I really don't believe our friendly Troll had any intent of MALICE. Further, I believe it was just an off the cuff joke in the middle of a GREAT trip report. My choice is not to be overly sensitive and immediately draw any "worst case" scenarios conclusion. Instead, based on the wonderful folks on this board, I assume the best.
Thanks to the greatest armed forces group in the world, we all have the right to voice opinions. Just wanted to give our Troll a little support and thanks for the great TR.

Well, I don't agree and it was definately not "off the cuff".
I don't consider myself religous at all and I also have a sick sense of humor but I still find that this could be and IS in fact still very offensive to many.
We will have to agree to disagree even though I am right.
As others on this board have been discplined for making posts that are insenstive to religious beliefs, this is on thin ice. Poor judgement is the least I can say about it.

It seems the trip report is on hold. I was enjoying reading some new views of the fort. I've never been to River Country but I have now since there's been a gazillion pics taken of it. Personally I can't wait til it's bulldozed so some new pics can be taken of that area.Hopefully you will carry on Norm. I offend many many many people and I'm sure I will again.
In all seriousness, folks, while I have to wonder if folks may have mistakenly (and understandably) missed the point I was making, I do recognize that in our attempts to be funny, witty, or satirical, oftentimes we fall flat -- and, worse, sometimes we unintentionally offend someone.
So if I sincerely offended anyone, please accept my apologies. I'm sorry -- that wasn't my intent.
Please. Those of you who state they know what the "point" was of comparing Baby Jesus in a Blow up Nativity scene to a Blow Up Porn Doll. PLEASE DO TELL.
Gosh.
It's not that complicated
Norm was just using a rhetorical argument.
His point was simply: Isn't Jesus entitled to more reverence than being represented as an inflatable doll?
That's all.
He apologized if he offended anyone.
Let it go.
Move on.
