My CM made everything so easy! Got thru immediately
and was able to get the new free dining by moving up our reservation by one day (we had been scheduled to arrive Sep 25th). Thanks to whoever it was that mentioned that you could get the free dining as long as your stay started before the offer expired

Unfortunately that meant that we had to switch resorts from CSR. We were able to get CBR which we loved the last time we were there,but no queen beds for us this time. Oh well.

The nice thing was that I only needed to change one ADR, and that was easier than I expected- I managed to get dinner at Cape May on our arrival day at the time I wanted. WOO HOO

And we (DH and I) are saving $200 over our previous 30%room discount! Not a huge savings compared to some folks, but I'll take it!! Now I can spend it all on the Grandchild we're expecting this fall.!!!

zales - I'm sorry you got a rude CM. It does seem that they should offer the info and keep their opinions to themselves. The last two times I've called they have been wonderful. I had Ellie this morning and she was so sweet. And I had Elton the other day.

If you can't get it to work, then call. I had the same problem. I had my resort reservation linked and everything and it still wanted to charge me. I finally gave up. And I've been able to make it work successfully in the past. Never did figure out the problem this time.

Changed from Fort Wilderness campsite to Pop. Called early this morning and waited no more than 2 minutes. Upgraded to Plus dining. My entire trip will only be $500.00 more for 8 of us but we are getting so much more. I was allowing for 2 character dinners and all other meals we would eat at the campsite. Glad not to have to go back to our trailer each day to cook dinner. Thank you disney for free dining!

I have been consumed with helping tornado victims for the past 96 hours... have four living in my home with me... so, I didn't see the link to the offer. Can someone repost for me... a family who lost their home had reservations during September and hope to be able to still go... but the FDP will save them $.

WAY TO GO it is great when neighbours/friends come together in a crisis.

If free dining is Aug 28-Sept 24th, and you arrive Sept 21-30, you can have free dining for your whole stay.

If we arrive August 24th, can we do that too? Or does the free dining only start Aug 28th till we leave on the 31st?

I was really hoping it would start Aug 14th when the other room discount offer ends!!

in order for you to get ANY type of free dining for the August dates, you would have to make two separate reservations, but this would PROBABLY also mean two separate park tickets. They might let you pick up your tickets early, but I think they only allow it within a day or two. I could be mistaken about the tickets, but I know 100% that you would have to make two separate room reservations. Not sure it would be worth the trouble.

For the Sept 21st to 30th you will get it your entire stay.

The second one you could only start a FD package on the 28th.

This is torturous!

I had a feeling FD would eventually come out, and I was prepared to deal with the fact that we're not going to WDW this year. However now that FD is finally here....


My DW made me promise that as soon as we got back from WDW last year, we would refurnish our place. After almost $4000 (this should have been the vacation fund) the living room and most of our bedroom is done. We're moving on to DS room next.

Stupid furniture......there's nothing wrong with sitting on milk crates, it's fashionable. Isn't it?

Ok, silly question about free dining. If you want to stay at a Value but get the regular dining plan, can you do so? What is the price difference you would need to pay to upgrade from the quick service dining plan?
