Hello we’ve been back a week and thought it was time to start our trip report. It’s taken a while to sort through the 970 photos I took but don’t worry I won’t post them all!!

The cast:

Gill 40 and 7th visit to Disney (5 to DLRP and 2 to WDW)
Holly 11 this was her 5th trip (4 to DLRP and 1 to WDW)

When:
Monday 13th Thursday 16th February
Where:
The Hotel Cheyenne
So sit back and enjoy the show! popcorn::

The alarm went off at 4.25 am we both got straight up and were ready to leave the house by 4.50 am. We got to the airport at 5.15 am and checked straight in. The plane left at 7.50 am which was 35 minutes late due to a problem with re-fuelling but the pilot said he had flown "really fast and taken some short cuts” and we landed just about on time! We flew in to Orly West and got the 10.10 am VAE Shuttle straight to the hotel.

At check in the Cast Member asked if we wanted to eat in Plaza Gardens for breakfast on Wednesday morning, we did so she booked us in for 8.15 am. We booked 7 am breakfast for the other 2 days. She gave us our half board vouchers, park tickets and VAE shuttle tickets. Our room was ready so we went straight there and dropped our bags off. The block was closest to the walkway to Disney Village! we walked to Earl of Sandwich for the first of many lunches there and it was just as good as Florida. The first one we had was The Cannonballs which ended up being Holly favourite.

We got to the park just after 12 and we ran right in to Duffy and Mickey so stopped to have a photos and autographs with them. Mickey loved our Minnie Mouse bags and took Holly over to the cast member to show her!!

We went to City Hall to get Holly a birthday badge (it was a belated trip for Holly's 11th birthday in December) but instead she got a phone call from Mickey!!

Yeah my first reader :welcome: thanks for reading along! We had a brilliant trip with it being just a girlie trip we've always gone with either my mum and dad or sister and her family before so it was really nice to have some quality time just the two of us xx

Fabulous start - you got loads done :goodvibes

More please popcorn::

Ohmygod I bought the exact same hat your daugther did! :rotfl: It's so nice and warm. My ears usually feel as if they're freezing off but not with that hat on! Like your report and looking forward to the rest of it!
Totally happy with your picture of the cannonballs sandwich at Earl's too, been wanting to go here for a while but I'm a bit of a fussy eater so didn't really dare to take the risk. Yet it looks really tasty so I think we're gonna give it a try for lunch in August. :goodvibes

LOL, Holly loved her hat and hardly took it off all week!! All the sandwiches at EOS are really nice and you can change what is in them if there is something you don't like, we had a Hawaiian BBQ without the BBQ sauce as they are all cooked fresh it's not a problem, hope you enjoy it when you have one, and thanks for reading along :)

Yay just noticed you started loving the first day! Glad the glow tini didnt disappoint! x

Day 2 - Tuesday 14th Feb - Valentines Day
We woke up at 6.30 am and were eating breakfast in the hotel by 7 am. This is where we both ate our first 3 croissants of the day each, 2 pain au chocolate and one plain!. We walked through Disney Village and were 3rd and 4th into a very quiet park!

219-1.jpg

During Extra Magic Hours we went on Peter Pan twice, Dumbo, Tea Cups twice, Carousel, Orbitron and Buzz Lightyear. I scored 9400 and Holly got 9000.
225.jpg

267.jpg

We left the park and went in to The Disneyland Hotel to meet some characters and get autographs. Holly met Donald and Chip and Dale.
288.jpg

Now it was time for our first ever trip to Salon Mickey. We knocked on the door and were allowed in to an empty Salon Mickey. We both had hot chocolate and pain au chocolate, Holly then had a croissant. That is some croissant count and it was only 10 am!!
291.jpg

296.jpg

298-1.jpg

We left Salon Mickey and went to The Studio Park. We went to Toy Story Play Land which was just like being in a giant toy box. We rode Slinky twice, Parachute Drop and Flying Carpets.
303.jpg

342-1.jpg

There were loads of characters in the park having photos and signing autographs.
360.jpg

367-1.jpg

It was lunch time so we went back for our 2nd Earl of Sandwich, Hawaiian BBQ!
370-1.jpg

Back in the park I took more photos of my favourite castle (I won't post these!!). We went on It’s A Small World and Pinocchio before we stopped for Holly to have a waffle!
Back at The Disneyland Hotel it was time for the 4 pm Valentines Meet and Greet.
400-1.jpg

415.jpg

418.jpg

We rode the railroad from Main Street to Frontier Land and walked on to Phantom Manor. Holly had a couple of goes on the Carousel, we went on to Snow White and Pirates of the Caribbean where a lady asked a Cast Member for a bin bag to wear in case she got wet!! It was time to leave the park as it was closing.
430.jpg

We had a 7.30 pm reservation at Cafe Mickey. The food was good i asked for my steak the be medium as i though medium rare in France would be too rare but it ended up being a bit over cooked, I'll remember next time and stick to medium rare. the mushrooms in pesto were lovely, sorry no photos i was too hungry to wait!!
we met loads of characters.
441.jpg

446.jpg

450.jpg

we got back to the room and to bed by about 10.30 totally warn out but having had another magical day.

Can't wait to read the rest!

I would love to think that when my little Rosebug gets older we could have girly trips to DLRP - but Daddy would go in a huff, although I guess he is such a big girl it wouldn't really matter!

Yay just noticed you started loving the first day! Glad the glow tini didnt disappoint! x

How could a glow tini disappoint!! it is by far the best drink i have ever had  thanks for reading along, i'm still trying to decide which photos to use, think i might have posted too many :rotfl:

I'm sure you'll have some lovely girly trips, it was really nice to just "please ourselves" and not have to worry about anyone else not wanting to spend an hour in a shop choosing the right hat :rotfl:

thanks for reading :)

Day 3 – Wednesday 15th February

We were 4th and 5th into the park today and had Main Street and Fantasy Land to ourselves for a few minutes.
454-1.jpg

455.jpg

458.jpg

We rode Peter Pan then went to Plaza Gardens for breakfast for our first croissants of the day, I had 3 and I think Holly managed 4! There were yoghurts, fruit (tinned I think), cereal, rolls, ham and cheese, so pretty much as in the hotel but enough to keep us going until Salon Mickey time. We rode Buzz again, Holly scored 3,400 and somehow I managed to score 80,000!!!

I think we left the park at about 9.30 to go to The Disneyland Hotel to meet some more characters, just as we were about to leave we spotted Dale in the corridor so had a photo with him as well.
472.jpg

Salon Mickey was much busier today but we still managed to have our pain au chocolate, croissant, chocolate chip cookie and hot chocolate. That made today’s croissant count 9 again today!!
477.jpg

478.jpg

479.jpg

Back in the Studio we watched Cinemagic for the first time, it was really well done but Holly said she wouldn’t rush back to watch it!! We had another ride on Flying Carpets. We saw Art of Animation with Mushu and Holly learnt how to draw Winnie The Pooh.
485.jpg

488.jpg

I love this carpet!!
We made our way back to Earl of Sandwich for another “cannonballs” and sat upstairs this time.
We rode the Railraod from Main Street Station and then got off a Fantasy Land, this took over an hour to go all the way round once and then on to Fantasy Land.
497.jpg

We went back on It’s a Small World with no queue then stopped at The Cable Car Bakery for another cake, hot chocolate and brownie. Still loving the browines!
518.jpg

519.jpg

It started to rain but we stayed dry while Holly brought a Slinky Ride Pin. Then we rode Pinocchio again with a very short queue.

We watched the parade again from the side of It’s a Small World.
522.jpg

548.jpg

558.jpg

581.jpg

Once the parade had finished we rode The Carousel, Snow White and Pirates of the Caribbean.
609.jpg

On the way out of the park we took some more photos of the castle!
626.jpg

630.jpg

It was time for our meal in Inventions in The Disneyland Hotel. We had a lovely view of the castle from our table, the food was really good especially the pearls and crab. We saw loads of characters who were all very attentive and spent quite a bit of time with us. Holly got to meet Tigger which really made her day!

The only disappointing part of eating here (and the only disappointment of the holiday really) when the bill came the waiter took my half board plus vouchers but said that I couldn’t use my shareholders card as well, I’d assumed they would take the discount of the balance but he said I could only use the card or vouchers but not both! Oh well it was a lovely evening with a fantastic view so I got over it quickly enough!
We didn’t get to bed until gone 11 and we were totally shattered but again had had an amazing day getting on loads of rides with hardly any queues at all.

Lovely updates :goodvibes You seemed to be able to stroll on the rides without any wait, fantastic :thumbsup2

Great spot for watching the parade - we only found that last time and I couldn't believe how quiet it was, especially in high season.

Love the photos at Inventions - that's a shame about the shareholders discount and vouchers, but I'm sure it is mentioned somewhere in the t&c's.
