What else to say to the characters???

This thread is great. I cannot wait to get to Florida at the end of next month. I've got a few ideas which should be a laugh. I'm gonna ask Daisy has Donald took her out on a date yet. I'm gonna get a Stitch hat with matching gloves and wear them when meeting Stitch (he's my favourite) and the best one of all, I've dared my brother to to wear a hat in the shape of Donald's legs and backside when he meets Donald:lmao:

One of my previous trips, we were at 1900 Park Faire, and one in our party tried to trick up Mary Poppins by asking "What is your favorite medicine flavor?" Took me a while to get what the heck she was asking that for, and it took Mary a couple of seconds to answer as well. "Rum punch!" :)

Can't trick 'em.

Last August we were having dinner at 1900PF when Lady Tremaine walked over to DH and used his bald head as a mirror to fix her hair. She told me that it was wonderful I was able to "carry my magic mirror with me wherever I went." :rotfl::rotfl:

This thread is great, has anyone got anything to say to Goofy, he seems to be the only classic character not mentioned.

Last trip, we had a FP to meet Cinderella, Belle and Aurora. We were especially after Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. Her photo wasn't on the board and the CM at the first door said that she wasn't there right now, she was napping. So we left and returned a second time. Again, we were told that she had fallen asleep so she had gone to sleep in the castle for a few hours.

We went in anyway as it was getting late and to our surprise, she was there. She said that she often her to go and nap and then she asked my sister if she liked sleeping too, which she does.

My kids loved the House of Mouse TV show. I actually got them watching it so they would become familiar with the characters. Although now that I think of it, Goof Troop must gave been its own show too. DS was 4 at the time. we were at Liberty Tree Tavern when it was a character meal. DS yelled out to Goofy as he passed, "Hey Goof Troop! Where's your buddy Pete?"

Our DS who was 5 at the time, told Jasmine she was pretty and Aladin told him he better watch out, that was his wife. Jasmine leaned over and kissed our DS to which Aladin reached to. It was cute and DS was so happy.

I love this thread! I have a little over a year to go, so I have some time to read all 53 pages so far! :D

But here's a story of when we went to DLR...we were at DCA We've been looking for Woody all day since we brought along his new Woody doll and we wanted to give it to Woody so he can hide it and surprise DS w/it. They're usually near the Thunder Ranch BBQ place and so while we were waiting for a table at Thunder Ranch, Woody & Jessie showed up! We quickly got in line. At first DS didn't want to let go of me...so he was distracted while DH gave Woody the doll and told him the plan. I had to carry DS since he was still cranky from his quick stroller nap...and we were talking to Woody. And all of a sudden, he pulled out a little Woody hat. And he acted all confused like "Where did this come from?! Whose is this?!" And he even tried to put it on...and he was like "it's too small! This isn't mine!" And DS was like "That's my Woody's hat!" And then Woody took the doll out of his gun holster! And DS was so surprised and excited! And he went and hugged Woody and we took a picture. I caught the whole thing on video. The whole day he talked about how Woody gave him his Woody doll. DS had such a magical day that day!

We also had the opportunity to meet Flynn Rider at MVMCP this year. There was a young guy (~14) that was a BIG Flynn fan. He had the satchel and a shirt. But what was hidden in the satchel was priceless.

He had hand drawn a wanted poster of Flynn.

That's what he was going to have autographed by Rapunzel and Flynn. Flynn was very excited that the kid went to so much trouble. He stopped EVERYONE and EVERYTHING going on in the room and made an announcement. "EXCUSE ME EVERYONE! LOOK!!!! They FINALLY got my nose right!"

The kid was over the moon!

AWESOME. I love this story!

Well this is not really words, but I love when characters where your hats! Pluto put on my ear hat and it's such a cute picture. On my upcoming trip I hope to try to get them to wear my ears more! Ooh and I think it would be fun to get a tiara for the evil stepsisters and see what they do. :earsboy:

Years ago, during a visit to the World with a friend, we were sitting on the curb watching Spectro. Out of nowhere, Peter Pan came up to me and gave me a big hug and said "thanks for visiting us!!" I was so surprised! I was never into the characters, but I was a convert from that day on.

WHat a great thread!!!

For some reason, the characters seem to love me.

I had Donald ask me for $$$ for a Christmas tree. I told him I was at Disney so I was broke.

At the parade, the queen of hearts made the "off with her head" motion at me, I told her "off with my head? Off with your head.".

It was pretty funny. And chip and dale loved loved loved my dd. they would not stop squeezing her, it was the cutest thing.

I have it on very good authority, that many of the pictures the Princesses receive are posted on bulletin boards in their 'break room." They really enjoy them. Sometimes the Princesses take them home and put them on their refrigerators. I've even seen some with my own eyes. :-)

I have have a super shy 4 yo who wasn't sure she even wants to go to WDW because (although she want to meet them) she is scarred to talk to the princesses. THis warmed my heart!! I'm going to suggest that she draw a picture for each one and we'll keep it with us while in the park should she be brave enough to try a m&g.

Tell Donald Duck that Mickey is #1!

My husband did this right as we were doing a photo with Donald.

My husband is making that *pained* face because Donald was elbowing him in the ribs trying to get him out of the picture. I wish we had photos from after that when Donald actually did chase him out - and booted him softly in the butt with his big duck food! :rotfl2:

She could do coloring pages for them too.

I'm not quite sure a tiara is a good idea, especially if it has combs in it. It could mess up the hairstyles (wigs) or get caught in the hair. I can see the non face characters wearing hats however, because there is no problem with hats sitting on fur heads .

Thanks for telling me!

Kenny the pirate, the character guru, has an app called "character locator". When you click on a particular character, he gives suggestions on things to say to them. :yay:
