My boys turn 6 the week you are in Disney.
We are having a party but now wish I bought our march trip forward and went to DLP for their birthday.
who new planning a party could be so stressful :scared1:.
Never mind we are telling them about our DLP trip on there birthday and giving them a count down kizzabel style.

Happy planning and fingers crossed for very mild weather

Thank you! She is cute; even when she is being cheeky - so hard to be angry at her! ;)

I want that hat too - I tried it on; doesn't fit unfortunately! :confused3 You should check out ebay! There are some fabulous crocheted Rapunzel hats!

I have thermals for her from last Feb trip; and her best friend is lending her salopettes and ski jacket. I have spotted some thermal snow boots in Sportsdirect for £15 so will probably grab those. When we went in 2012 she had on thermal leggings and long sleeved vest; tights; thermal socks; trousers; long sleeved sweater; hoodie; coat and an all in one snow suit; scarf; hat and gloves. And was still far too cold to even walk. Hopefully now she is on her medication she will be much better; but it doesn't seem hopeful that she will be sorted for our trip! Fingers crossed it is a milder Feb than 2012!

Rosebug is having a "Disney" disco on her birthday - I have done very little planning for it compared to most years. It has consisted of booking a kids disco; the church hall and food wise I am doing hotdogs in buns and cartons of juice. No way was I doing anything more now she is in school and wanted to invite her whole class. Party bags are costing me a total of a fiver - I have bought 100 striped coloured candy bags; with a temp tattoo and lolly to go in each one; sealed with a personalised Disney sticker. Hope you manage to get the party planned relatively stress-free!

I must get a Kizzabel style countdown sorted too! :thumbsup2

Sound for the name drops ladies :lmao::cool1:
Feeling kinda special here - I am going to slack so badly on the run up to our next trip!! I havent the creative capascity for new ideas!! Have you looked at Pinterest? Its a mine of ideas and tips and I think it may just provide me with our reveal idea for November (DH is refusing to video a message for the kids which we would post on Youtube and use to reveal the holiday - spoilsport) found some amazing craft ideas for Disney hols on there.

30 mins early for WDS opening and peg it to Crush once the gates open - we rode 5 mins after it opened :thumbsup2 Leave the slackers behind, they can catch up when you are safely in the queue ;) Im painting it like an end of world film scene - only the strong survive! But in fairness who wants to queue 90 mins :scared:

I have to second the PP - Rosebug sounds like a witty, fantastic, funny little lady.

You would not say this if you had been at her Christingle service at school - 29 children performing their song beautifully - Rosebug standing in the corner doing it death metal style complete with devil horns and headbanging! :confused3 Mortified! :rotfl:

But, thank you; she is mostly a funny little bugger - she keeps us on our toes! ;)

You made me chuckle!! That's brilliant. Its lovely when they march to the beat of their own drum! Jem is infatuated with 80s movies & Jimmys best friend is his stuffed pig (he has feelings OK?). I hope they never loose their little quirks!

My child must have her own drum kit then! She is insane! It's okay - I just turned to the mother next to me and said "Who is that crazy child on the end? Wonder who her parents are!" ;)

80's movies is an AWESOME thing to be infatuated with (my own personal favourites are The Goonies; Footloose and Girls Just Want to Have Fun!) and stuffed pigs do have feelings so that's all good! ;)

I am now not only planning our DLP trip; but a Disney Disco Party for the week before. My head is battered. The plan was a simple disco with hotdogs and all the games etc. done by the DJ/party co-ordinator. Now I have in my head some amazing Disney themed room with Disney photobooth; themed food and sweeties and a DLP castle cake! Help!!!!

I did manage to pick up a few more bits for Rosebug's holiday pack when we were in the pound shop for the pass the parcel prizes (Disney themed of course). I got some Tinkerbell hair clips (with the coloured hair attached) and some Princess slipper socks. And one of Rosebug's friends is letting her borrow her thermal ski jacket and salopettes to keep her warm so I don't need to go on a hunt for those!

Next step is to book parking at Glasgow and start making a count-down calendar - but I have so much school work to do it may get done for about 3 nights worth of countdown!

Have to say great I'm not only one stressing over a kids party Lol :rotfl2:.
I've even got one of the lads from work with making us super hero hoodies.
I'm going a wonder Women ha ha.

Do you have pink banquet roll for the tables ?
(Thought from last night)

Bet you have a great trip
Pound land is great !!

Saw some girls snow boots on m and m direct
Xx

Aaaah your nuts!!! That's a huge undertaking! Sounds like its going to be awesome! These plans always get legs dont they but it makes it all the better. Rosebug is going to have a fab two weeks and sounds like you have it all in order. Im no good for kids parties, im too much of a panicker. Jimmy is 5 in 3 weeks and I've not even started getting things organized, mind you he's decided he wants to go to the swanky Italian we had his daddy's 30th in! No recession here eh!

Aaah i must show her the Goonies! Totally forgot it. Recorded Big for her to watch this weekend. :D

Where has the time gone? Less than a month to go!!! :cool1:

Unfortunately I have been so busy I haven't managed to do anything planning wise for Disney.
Although we have finally booked all the meals we need and figured out more or less where we plan to eat (after a major panic last night).

So this is the final (ish plan)

Night 1:
We arrive late so will check into the hotel and if not too late we may pop into the Fantasia Bar for a sneaky cocktail. Then DH is going to pop to Annettes to get us some supper. We are going to try to book Rosebug's makeover for the next morning when we arrive.

Day 2:
Early morning wake-up for our first breakfast at the DLH; and then hitting the park for EMH. First stop will be City Hall for a birthday badge/call and hopefully an EAC (I won't whinge anymore about poor Rosebug; I know it is tiresome) and then our first stop will likely be the Castle.
Hopefully we can get her in for her makeover at about 11am so will head back to the DLH for this and then head to Auberge for our reservation at 1:15pm where we have also booked her birthday cake!
Then we will probably spend the rest of the afternoon in Fantasy Land and find a spot for the parade.
After the parade it would be rude not to go to the Cable Car Cafe for a hot chocolate to warm us up before getting a spot for Dreams.
Once Dreams has finished we will leave with the crush and head to Cafe Mickey for supper at 7:30pm. Will we have enough time after Dreams to get there for that time?

Day 3:
A lie in and a late breakfast at around 9am; followed by a morning/early afternoon in the Studios. Hopefully we will catch the shows and the parade characters - Rosebug is desperate to meet Mulan and Jasmine! We may have lunch at Blockbuster while here. Then back to the park for a few hours before heading back to the DLH for our meal at Inventions at 6pm; followed by cocktails and an early night.

Day 4:
Depending on how we feel we may have an early morning; with breakfast at 8am and into the park for EMH. Then a trip to Salon Mickey for hot chocolate and treats! Lunch will probably be counter service at Cowboy Cookout/Hakuna Matata or some such place! We are planning to have at least one swim so may well try to fit this in here; before heading back to the park for the parade and Dreams one last time. We have Inventions booked again for this evening at 7:30pm as we may as well take advantage of staying at the DLH! :goodvibes

Day 5:
We only have the morning before we have to head to the airport. So the plan is EMH and then possibly afternoon tea at the DLH just before we are due to be picked up!

VERY excited now!!!

Just been informed that parks shut at 8pm during Feb half term and not 7pm! Eeeek!

So need to change our late evening meal bookings. Will try to change both Cafe Mickey and Inventions to 6pm. This actually works better for us as Rosebug is more likely to eat around 6ish.

Some great eating plans.
Great news about the later closing of the park did they not tell you this when you rang to book your tables ?.
They lady on the phone made me wait so she could tell me the time the park closed.nice of her I thought :).
Hope we get to see the pics of the makeover.
I love the ones of my boys from last year.

Hope your party planning is going well.
Deep breaths lol x

Wow, so organised- plenty of practice clearly! The pin is so cute and such a lovely plan with parcel from tinker bell.
Looking forward to hearing more and how it all goes. Any tips for little people visits always welcome.

Nope they didn't tell us! :confused3 Actually a 7pm close was better for us in that Rosebug gets very tired so her bedtime is actually 6pm! But I am sure she will be grand and being so close to the hotel means she can have a nap if she wants (yeah right!!! :rotfl2: )

I am sure I will share far too many pics of her makeover - her last one was just lovely. Not sure which one she will go for as she already has most of the dresses etc. that are included. Wondering if they would do an Elsa makeover. I just wish they did the pink Ariel dress as she is desperate for this!

Party planning is "okay" :thumbsup2 Invitations are made; signs for the tables are made (Hot Diggity Dogs; Pizza Planet Slices & Princess Sweets & Treats) Ice cream sundae dishes (plastic ones - 8 for £1!!!) are bought to put the sweets in (red apples; green frogs; fairy dust wands etc.) and party bag stuff bought. I just need to print out the stickers for the party bags; invites and signs; order various disney cupcake toppers and buy the princess ribbon to tie around the ice cream dishes.

Party bags each have some mini Disney stickers (princess or Mickey mouse) a Disney tattoo and one of these each:

I am more stressed about what to get her! I really want to get her the Disney Princess Lego which is now listed on Argos' site but currently unavailable! She just doesn't want anything. It's good as she isn't a "I want" child unless it is something she REALLY wants. But there is rarely anything she really wants! Makes it bloody hard at Christmas and Birthday!

Total planning OCD more like! ;) I am dreadful!

Thanks - I am hoping it is as magical as our last trips (I have trip reports on here somewhere if you want a peep) My biggest tip for little people is to just take it slow and book character meals if you can afford them. Meeting the princesses at Auberge and Mickey & Co at Inventions or Cafe Mickey totally takes away the need to queue for any characters! Makes it so less stressful!

Party sounds fab and yes I'm a OCD mother to.

I also had lego super hero party invitations made from eBay you have to love the bay don't you !.

Can not wait to see rosebug makeover.

Does she love the bbff song my boys lol

Gosh - 3 weeks today!!!!

It is getting exciting now. I have just checked in on-line; pre-booked our airport parking (bargain for £25.99 for the 5 days) and confirmed our ezy-shuttle transfer. :cool1:

I have ordered a birthday sash for Rosebug from ebay and bought her a Rapunzel "5" birthday badge! She will be wearing them ALL week! LOL!

Just hoping the weather in DLP in 3 weeks is slightly better than we have at the minute here!

Cannot believe we will be on the way in 3 weeks time! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Erm - how did we get to 2 weeks to go?!?!? :cool1::cool1:

I am feeling a little stressed atm - as I have NO clothes to go away with. I tend to only wear leggings and dresses but a little worried they may not be warm enough. I guess I could get some thermal leggings to go under my normal leggings? TBH though I don't feel the cold as much as most people (see under my avatar pic! ;) ) but want to be prepared!

Rosebug is going to be toasty at least. I popped out shopping for birthday and holiday stuff yesterday and managed to get these in the sale in Sports Direct for only £11! Rosebug LOVES them:

BOOTS by rosebug09, on Flickr

I also managed to get quite a lot of bits for her holiday bag at the Pound Shop. I have decided rather than give this to her on the flight I am going to try to sneak in before her and pop it on the bed; and blow a couple of pink balloons up. Her ebay Birthday sash arrived yesterday too - complete with Disney font!!!

I have been keeping an eye on the weather; and fingers crossed it seems a little warmer than it was in 2012! Lets hope it stays that way!

Did I mention we go in 2 weeks?!?! :wizard::wizard:

Still reading along:)
Great Boots at a fab price less than 2 weeks now :goodvibes

I'm reading along too:goodvibes
You seem to be very organised and I am sure you will have a perfect trip! We are 3 weeks away from ours and I have also started obsessing about the weather:rotfl:

Really Really Really hoping it stays the way it is now showing 11 degrees and sun!

Not organised AT ALL! I tend to do all the things that don't really need doing and leave all the important stuff til the very last minute. :confused3

We borrowed a snowsuit off Rosebug's little friend - but it was HUGE (Rosebug is such a dot!) But we went out tonight to get a few more birthday bits and found a snow jacket and sallopettes in Mountain warehouse reduced from £110 to £35. She LOVES them...so she is sorted now. Just going to take her thermal vests/leggings and her normal outfits plus a hoody! Thinking she may still be able to put her princess dresses on over the top of her trousers when she is walking around. That should keep her happy! princess:princess:

Yes, addverbaan, the weather seems okay atm - although next week seems like a bit of rain! :scared:

I may start packing on Sunday night after her birthday is out of the way! I should really go and buy some warm clothes for me!
