Apologies if this seems lazy of me, I am just overwhelmed with information. Would it be possible to get a mini Wedding Cake delivered to our room at Coronado Springs Resort?

We hope to have a Memories vow renewal, but will be at HDDR that same day for dinner, so I thought it would be perfect to arrive at our room with cake waiting alongside our Memories package :)

I would only want something small and simple - I like the look of the little white ones with colourful Mickey heads and ears on top :)

The trick is that Coronado Springs ' food and beverage service is not managed by Disney, so they have only a few limited cake options. Of course it's possible that they could approximate the cake design you like, so I recommend calling the number listed in Post #2 to see what your options are. :thumbsup2

Thank you :) I had a feeling I could remember reading somewhere that CSR either doesn't allow it or is awkward, which is one reason I asked.
Will have to dig out one of those numbers that makes international calls cost less...

Question and please forgive me if this was answered, I am overwhelmed by the information on this thread!

I will be at Disney with friends in November and we are having a celebration dinner at Flying Fish one night...I want to get a cake to commemorate the reason we are there (running the 5K) and wanted it after dinner because it might be the only time we are all together. Is there a way to do this? I just wanted maybe one with the picture of the castle and a little saying on it like, "We did it!" Is this possible to have done and also to have after we eat at Flying Fish?
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Are you sure it isn't just temporary closure during construction?

As of right now, all of the news just states that they're closing. Who knows...we may see their name pop up again as Disney Springs nears completion, but for now- all anyone knows is that they're closing.

First time posting a picture , crossing my fingers I do it correctly ! This is a b-day cake I surprised DH with at CG the end of January. Tuns out better than I thought because I opted for buttercream on my order to save money and it came with fondant !

Didn't see my answer so must ask, although I'm sure it's there and I missed it.
Cake options for T-Rex? (Podium or custom)

Our trip is in May and we will be there right after my DD turns 5. We are staying the WL, would I have to call the Contemporary or the GF for her cake? She LOVES Minnie. There will be 5 of us for dinner at the Whispering Canyon so I thought a 6in would be plenty. Anyone have any ideas on what they could do?
Thanks!

We ordered a Minnie Mouse cake for my niece's 4th birthday. We had dinner at Crystal Palace and the cake turned out beautiful and was so delish! Moist cake, not overpowering filling or topping, not overly sweet, so good!! She was very excited!

Minnie Mouse head (modified Mickey head), vanilla cake, chocolate mousse filling, chocolate ganache topping, writing in chocolate on plate, price $52 plus tax.

Yes! See Post #2, under BoardWalk Inn, for your options and the number to call.

None, unfortunately. They are not owned by Disney so there's no podium cake option, and they don't currently provide any other kind of special-ordered cake. You could call a local bakery like It's Tasty Too, Sprinkles, Anna Cakes or Bake Me a Cake and see if they'd meet you at the restaurant. I know It's Tasty Too does this a lot.

The Contemporary makes the cakes for Wilderness Lodge, but recently they've started asking guests to call Wilderness Lodge's cake hotline (see Post #2) first and see if the order can be placed through them. I think they like having a middleman to cut down on the volume of calls they receive. If what you want is too complicated to explain or get quoted by WL, then the Contemporary will work directly with you. :thumbsup2

Here's the link for the photo of the cake we had delivered to AOA this weekend, 6 inch vanilla cake with chocolate filling, fondant covered with Stitch and tropical flowers. It was $68 and was delicious, super moist. http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/s...otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/ I have forgotten how to attach a photo, so hopefully this works, otherwise, maybe someone will advise me on the process? It's been a couple years since I shared a photo to the disboards.

Wow! Yacht & Beach Club did a great job on that cake! To post a picture, click on the little

I'm gonna just post it here if you don't mind cuz this thread is about to get closed when it reaches 250 pages, and I don't want the photo to get lost in between threads!

So, did you order this ahead of time from Crystal Palace?

So, did you order this ahead of time from Crystal Palace?

I ordered about 2 weeks out. I called the cake line (407-827-2253) and left a message with my phone number and email address. I received an email within 24 hours with an order form attached. I filled it out and emailed it back, they sent me a confirmation. When I arrived at the restaurant, I asked while checking in about the cake and it was on my reservation. When the waitress came over, I asked again, just to be sure, and there was a copy of my order form on her table slip. It was so easy! When we were ready, they brought the cake, and it was perfect!

I know this has probably been answered, and I saw if it's delivered to your room, there is 19% gratuity. If it is delivered at a restaurant, is the gratuity already included?

I ordered a Tinkerbell cake from GF for our meal at GF. It was $100, so know tax is 6.5%. Will be bill when I get it be $106.50 or $106.50 + some gratuity factor?

From what I've read, they add it onto the bill for your meal. So it's 106.50 + some gratuity.

At restaurants, the only time they automatically add gratuity is when you have a large party or when you use the Tables In Wonderland discount card. But with the latter, you can ask a manager to adjust the amount if you think it's not appropriate (like if you get a $150 cake with your $75 meal and they add a $40.50 gratuity cuz the cake's on the same bill).

Thanks for the info. Will only be 5 of us. I just wanted to make sure I had enough on the gift card for the cake and tax, and then put the gratuity on our room account.
