Wonderful Panama Canal Sept 2014

You have to put the gift cards in your onboard account. I only use enough to pay off the balance and keep any left over for my next cruise.

Thank you. Family is sending them as birthday presents for our daughter, since her birthday is during the cruise.

We are also flying in on the 10th from VA! Staying at the Wyndham Harbour Lights. Planning on meeting a friend for lunch on the 11th and grab a few items for the ship. Yeah!

Just a heads-up: I've put in a second wristband order, so we should have 400 to hand out, which should enable all the fb and DISBoard folks to get one apiece. After looking at the up-to-date list of people in both groups, I realized that we probably wouldn't have enough, hence the second order.

The total cost will be about $189, including shipping, or about 48¢ apiece. As I said before, I will be giving them out, not charging per band, but would be grateful for donations to help defray the cost. Paper money only, please, preferably US$.

My DW and I will be handing them out at the Saturday, Sept. 13th Meet N Greet (Studio Sea, deck 4 midships, 2:30 to 3:30), but if you know you're not going to be able to make it, PM me and we'll figure out how to get them to you. Remember that I will also be doing "Conversation with a futurist" in Diversions (deck 3 forward) on day 5 (3:30 to 4:40), for instance, as well as morning yoga on many of the sea days.

See You Real Soon! :flower3:

i leave home next monday at 4 am i arrive at san diego around 7 pm there is a 9 hour time difference so i will be up around 24 hours

Our flights are:
2 hour flight from Sea-Tac to Long Beach.
2.5 hour flight from MCO to Midway/Chicago airport then I think an hour and change layover in Chicago, and 3 hour flight from Midway to Sea-Tac.
The bad part? The 9pmish shuttle leaves 20 minutes after we land. So Em and I get to wait around for a couple of hours at the airport until the shuttle can pick us up. Yay for living far from the airport.

Yay for living far from the airport.

Our trip is only a 2 hour trip approximately to the airport but it requires crossing an international border to get there. You never know how long that will take but usually it is not a problem.

We are in Canada about an hour and a half from the border at Detroit Michigan. Then another half hour or so from the border to the airport.

It is all pretty much big highway driving so it is fairly easy and hopefully the traffic is light but we will be going during morning rush hour this time. Best build a bit more cushion time into our travel plans.

i hope to have it easy when getting back because there is only once a hour a direct train to my home town and not changing trains
