Babysitting services for DLR hotels?

Hello -- do any of you have any recommendations for an in-room sitter who can look after the kids for one evening during our upcoming stay at PPH? I would take them to Pinnochio's workshop, but my youngest is 3, which I think I read is too young. Thanks in advance!

Not to cut into your thread but......lol
I too, would love to know about babysitting services for myself. I would love a male, over 21+ who either looks like Clint Eastwood or Jensen Ackles, preferably, Clint or Jensen. :)
If neither or hey, both are not available for some reason, then a tall, Latin man, who is single, of course preferably, and likes Disneyland. Prefer a non smoking, sports car convertible driving, non bad habits that would get you arrested, good looking dude. Does not need to be Latin, again just a preference. Must love pets that don't scare me. Especially loves horses. Not in a weird purvo kind of way either just in case you're. wondering thank you! Oh and of course preferably no jail record. I'm not interested in having to look over my shoulder, ya know? Not interested in becoming personally familiar with a bail bondsman or bounty hunter, just because I'm with the wrong guy!

:faint:

Oh, how I wish I lived closer to Disneyland! This is my dream job...to be a Mary Poppins, Disney Nanny! I'd love to be able to help out families with children so mom and dad can enjoy dinner or an evening in the park alone. Kinda hard to do when I live 500 miles north, but I have a premium AP so if anyone wants to fly me down, I'd love to be at your service!! LOL! :thumbsup2

Oh, I just looked back and noticed it was you that posted, Kangamama! What dates are you going? :)

We used Care.com when we stayed at GCH when my daughter was 3 and her cousins were 3 and 6. The girl we got was great, but unfortunately was moving to Europe and is no longer with them. But I was happy with the service.

She met us with the kids in the room and then took them down to watch the movie on the grass that they show in the evening (which was "The Little Mermaid" that night which they loved). Then walked them over to Downtown Disney to Haagen-Daas for ice cream, then back to the room for bed.

I was a little freaked out having a stranger, but Care.com gives you their background and references and I felt comfortable when I met her. :)

Disneyluvr, We are going for Dapper Day!

hmm... not sure about Care.com, but I'll check that out. I really wish my youngest was old enough for Pinnochio's Workshop -- that would fit the bill nicely, but he's three...

Did you look into the Fullerton Babysitting Agency? I have read good reviews over time about the agency on this site.

I've never stayed at a 4 or 5 star hotel or a hotel as expensive as GCV without the concierge being able to arrange childcare - has anyone tried directly with them? I am coming in April and would love to have a good reference. Thanks!

So to update anyone who is interested in this process, the DL hotels do have an agency or two that they recommend to people with kids too young to partake in Pinnochio's Workshop. They are very clear that it is an outside agency, but as it appears to be the only one they work with I am feeling pretty confident about hiring someone through the service they recommend. You have to sign a release of liability and fax it back to the hotel before they give you any more information, and I'll be doing that today so will hopefully know more later today.

Oh, this would be amazing, my younger 2 are 2 and 3 and I was really hoping to maybe have a few hours in the parks with the hubs!

I first used Destination Sitters in November for the Avengers race. The communication was very good as was the nursing student they placed. She showed up with a large bag of books and activities. I returned for the Star Wars race in January. I requested (and received) the same sitter for two days in January. I am planning return trip in November. If the same nursing student isn't available, I'll still use Destination Sitters.
