Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I have a quick question. If the FD promo does indeed start Monday, and everyone starts call bombing Disney at 7am, are the phone lines going to be massively jammed? Is there going to be a lot of waiting on hold? My wife's job starts at 8, and doesn't want to miss the excitement, but she also doesn't want to be late for work. Thanks guys.
I was on the phone last year right at 7:00, and we were on hold an hour. I hear people say they were on hold 3 hours. I know the general public release was longer than that even.

Sorry if I missed this but when you guys/gals say you're calling at 7am, is this Eastern Time, Central Time etc...? Thanks.

I did get a very good fall offer on room and ticket package but you cannot buy the dinning plan on it so u have to do your math. We are paying out of pocket for food and I'm very happy with it. They get you what is called a convention rate.

I already have a reservation but after hearing about TA's maybe I should just cancel and rebook with an agent since I'm not getting the summer rate anyway and I'm paying full price right now. We don't mind paying out of pocket for dining. Can I just go to any TA in my area or are there "certified" Disney TA's? Is the convention rate, etc. that much of a difference to bother at this point? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thx

If I book free dining for 9 days but then find out in August that I can only do 7 days, will I have to rebook and lose free dining? It is so hard to plan trips now that my kids are involved in competitive sports!

I would use Magical Vacations Travel, do a google search, should be first link.

I'm already booked for September but only 5 nights. I'm assuming it's pretty simple to add an extra night onto my resort stay, but does anyone know how difficult/costly it might be to modify my flight? Of course, this is all assuming the 6 night minimum is for real.

The first year we went as a family when our kids were 12 and 9, we kept it a surprise. We told them we were going on vacation but to a local mountain town. It snowed and snowed and snowed a few days before we were supposed to be "there" (mountains). The kids were all packed with hats, gloves,...all the winter garb. I had to repack their suitcases with shorts, swimsuits, etc. while they were at school and then we gave them an envelope on the way to the airport that had the Disney luggage tags. They FREAKED out. It was the best surprise for them but it was soooo difficult to hold onto the secret. In every year since then, we tell them we are going but always have surprises planned (ie. where we are going for dinner at Disney) as well as other things along the way such as swimming with the dolphins at Discovery (not a Disney property), trips to the ocean, etc.
That's so exciting!! I have been torn about keeping this a secret. I would love for DD9 to have her input with planning. But she has never been before so surely she will be happy with whatever, right?!! DS3 the closer to the trip the better.....he will ask to go daily until it's "our turn".

do somebody know the answer..if I want to upgrade my son form child to adult credit on Free dining plan and going from qs plan to regular dining plan, how muc a day will it cost me?

Are you flying southwest by chance?

Does anyone know if the unique offer codes for FD and fall/winter discounts typically come combined or come as a separate offer? I just don't know if FD is going to work out for me, at least if it occurs with the rumored dates and cutoffs for December, it will be a hassle to save not much money at all. So I'm wondering if I should just look for a room discount. I've been lucky enough to get codes for both the spring and summer discounts this year, so I might have to keep my fingers crossed for another offer code if I really want POFQ, otherwise I might just go with whatever the public RO offer is for Pop.

Ok... So, assuming tomorrow us the big day.
Am I safe to assume that if it opens to the GP there will be something on the website to indicate this?
If it is open to disney Visa card holders it most likely would not be on there when I'm calling in at 7am?

Also,
Just to clarify for myself...
If it's online I could potentially

I accidentally hit post before I was done:/

If the offer is online I could potentially modify online when the offer goes live...
But if it isn't online and it's just for Disney Visa card members I will have to call in starting at 7am

Long time lurker, first time posting in this thread...and sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news. :worried: I've been waiting to see if someone else would post this.

I follow Tom Bricker's blog on my facebook and his version of the free dining dates was posted last night. He has no December dates and he has POR excluded for the whole offer, which is bad news for my family of 5 because that was our #1 choice.

i see the date on the blog is April 13 so I am hoping this is "old news" but he posted this on facebook last night and was commenting on it. I'm hoping I attached the screenshot correctly.

Sorry if this info is not helpful, I was curious to know what others thought. Thanks!!

If the DV and GP offer both come out tomorrow, why would the DV customer have to call in. Why wouldn't they be able to do online like everyone else since they are getting no advantage and Disney has no need to check if they are using a DV?

I would be very surprised if December was to be included...Disney does VERY well with crowds in all of December since it low season for DVC members in early part of Dec, and of course, Christmas week is high volume. Disney will only market this to lured guests to bring in business. I think for many of you to complain about it because of certain dates does not fit your schedule, seriously, Disney does NOT have to offer this at all. I am amazed of the comments..it's a luxury vacation, people, not a world crisis...(which many people do not even have any vacations in their lives). Just put in perspective and make the best of it of what Disney offers. Just saying!

We called and my husband didn't wait more than 5 minutes, that was for the Visa offer in 2013. So, I'd plan on being on the phone awhile, and hope you get lucky and aren't on long!

So even though the blog post is dated for April 13, yesterday he was still posting about these dates on FB? Very interesting. At this point, honestly, nothing would surprise me with December. As restrictive as our other rumors are, I could totally see them cutting out December completely, it wouldn't' surprise me at all. Thanks for the info!

Yup, 2013 we didn't wait either. But last year me and DH both started dialing when the clock flipped to 7:00. His phone was finally answered at one hour, mine was still holding at 8:20 when I hung up after switching our reservation on his. But I heard a lot worse. We will both be ready tomorrow at 7:00 again, it's going to be a long day today.....
