A Very Merry Birthday Trip to Mouse City Orlando! Feb/March 2015

Popped over from my report.

First off, I can't believe you actually got married in Disney! My DD said that she wanted to do that and I was like "oh I don't think you can get married in the parks"... I guess I was wrong. Her poor future husband doesn't know what he's in for.

Second, I love your coordinating outfits. I have in the past convinced my family to wear a matching shirt. But only once or twice. Never every day.

Hi there! Joining in! I just found your TR and am really enjoying it! I love all your coordinating Disney outfits, they're super cute! I am starting to accumulate a ridiculous amount of Disney shirts in anticipation for my next trip

It looks like you had some really amazing M&G's! I love meeting the characters, it's SO much fun. I am super super sad they took away the Hiro and Baymax meet. Baymax is one of my son's favorite characters and I was really looking forward to him meeting them :sad2: I am hoping they bring them back at some point - we aren't going back until Dec 2016 so a girl can dream ;)

Did it stay pretty cold the whole time you were there? It seems like maybe the first couple of days were the worst as far as the cold goes. I am hoping the rain/cold won't be too bad when we are there. Honestly I don't mind cold but rain just makes it suck :rotfl:

Looking forward to reading more!

Hi HomeSweetDisney. Thanks for joining! Disney clothes are causing my closet to explode! Is it wrong I want ALL new stuff for our next trip? lol

I really hope they bring him back. They were so amazing and it was such a unique experience. I'm dreaming right along with you!

There was definetly a chill to the air most days. I would say the first few days were much cooler than our last few. At that point I could comfortably wear shorts and a t-shirt, though it felt more like fall than spring. When it rained it was pretty terrible, not going to lie lol But the crowds were super manageable at least.

I've only had the stuff I make at home and that is awesome. I can only imagine the real thing.... I can't wait to try it for the first time.

Disneyguy4life it is a life-changing experience! It needs to be in your top 5 of things to do on your next trip. My mouth is drooling thinking about it lol

:wave2: Following along! I read your wedding TR! You guys are such a cute couple! :goodvibes

Hi BibbitybobityLu, nice to have you join. Aw, thank you so much for following over from there. You're too sweet :)

haha ForeverDance, my parents have been preparing Cory since we met some 12 years ago that he was in for a wedding in Disney! Even though his love for Disney has seriously grown, there was a bit of convincing, but he agrees that it was the best day and experience of our life. Disney just knows how to do it :)

Thank you! I try to find him very cool or unique ones that he wouldn't see everyone else in and that have a significance to him. Also if they aren't as noticeable what they are. He would never wear a shirt with a huge Mickey on it, that's for sure! haha Hopefully they come around, you get such great interaction when you match.

New update in a few!

After our trip through the mines, we went to our next FP+ Space Mountain.

We attempted another tunnel photo and this may be my favorite. It’s pretty obvious who the better Space-Mountain-Tunnel-Photog is in our relationship.

We were already feeling a bit hungry again and I wanted to try Village Haus again. On our way over we passed Ariel with a 15 min wait and decided to go in. She’s my favorite princess and I can’t pass up an opportunity to meet her.

She was very sweet and bubbly and loved my dress and my shoes and socks which I may have thought about coordinating to match her. She wished me a very happy birthday also.

We made it to Village Haus and it was packed. It took about 15 mins just for us to order. We decided to split a tomato and mozzarella pizza as we weren’t that hungry. We sat outside away from the crowds.

After lunch, it was time for a FP+ I had secured at midnight way back at 90 days.

If you couldn’t tell from my dress or midnight hour selections, we were meeting the sisters from Frozen.

Anna. Who was very bubbly and all over the place, talking about chocolate and cakes and birthday presents and Sven. She was adorable and crazy and perfect.

Now Elsa was a bit stiff, as most people find, and I do think it is her personality. She was chatty about what kind of chocolate I would be enjoying for my birthday and enjoyed signing the picture books I brought.

Next it was off to Adventureland. What ride would we be heading to next?

That's a really great photo. I am forbidden from attempting photos on rides. My family is convinced I'll drop the camera.

I've seen lots of reports of her being really stiff and I agree that it's just part of Elsa's personality.

Done and done. It is officially on the list of things to do/eat while at WDW. I really want to eat there and eat around the world at EPCOT too.

Hello all. Thanks for sticking around with me. Between our house, new puppy, and a switch in jobs for me, things have been mighty crazy in our household. I’d really love to finish this report up before we leave for our next trip this Sunday, Oct 18-23! Woo! If you see us, please say hi! It will be the two of us along with our parents.
:cool1::banana:

And now to continue our current report:

After meeting the bubbly Ana and icy Elsa, we went to ride a favorite, The Jungle Cruise! We didn’t have a FP and it took us almost 50 mins to get through this line, yeesh! Along the way, I tried to get artsy to pass the time.

After our trip through the Amazon it was time to take a bus back to our resort for a quick dress change for me, and then a bus over to Epcot for our dinner reservation. It was the start of Flower and Garden Festival.

I loved the Frozen topiaries and the flowers around the sisters.

On our way to our dinner locale, we saw Caballero Donald out meeting and having his Sorcerer’s card, with him as a Caballero beating a piñata, we had to get his signature. Donald could not get enough of his card and he had us cracking up. He loved it so much and was showing it to everyone. He was great. Donald is number 1.

We then continued on to Norway where our dinner was. Cory had never eaten at Akershus, which was my convincing point when I made the ressie. I just wanted to meet some princess…

Belle greets you on the way in. I gave her the card to sign, but she was pretty dull otherwise.

Now the lighting in this place has a lot to be desired. Seriously it’s so weird that I feel like pictures never come out here. There was a buffet with appetizer like items and then we ordered from the menu for our entrees. I can’t remember exactly what we got, but it was good. I actually fell so in love with the potato salad I asked for the recipe. They took my information and then maybe 3 months later I actually received it. Lol

On to the Princesses! I had brought picture books (you can see Snow White’s on the table here) for them to sign for friends who were having little girls.

Snow White was very charming and adorable.

Cinderella was fine.

Dinner came out somewhere in the middle of our meet and greets. Again, the food was really yummy.

Ariel was very cute and talked about making seaweed cupcakes and such.

Last was Aurora who was really the star of the group. She spent a lot of time with us looking at her book and talking about Philip, how he is a real prince because he slayed a dragon and whether my husband had done the same to win my heart. She was awesome.

After dinner we slowly made our way back to the busses and to our resort. We were back to explore some of the booths in the morning.

Loving the trip report! I hope you have so much fun on your upcoming trip. Right now your trip reports are keeping me going as I won't be back to WDW until next September, but that will be our first trip with our daughter.

Also, Huckleberry is adorable!

Yiikes! That's a long wait. You did get some nice pictures though :thumbsup2

Thank you! :)

Aw, thanks! According to your ticker it looks like your girlie will be here soon, how awesome you already have her first trip planned.

Thank you! He is an adorable troublemaker ;)

What a smart idea! Thanks for the update - love the trip report!

Thank you! My friends really loved the books and couldn't believe I waited in line for all of them to get signed.

I apologize that from here on, my notes are sketchy at best, so I’m really going by the pictures. (I plan on taking lots of notes for our trip in just three (!) days though so that will be better J )

Today we were planning on taking in the topiaries and stopping at some of the food booths.

First we rode Soarin’ with FP+ and got First row which is always the best.

On our way toward the Butterfly Garden, we ran into Chip. Dale I guess was still sleeping. Also apologies for my face here, I don’t know what was happening. Maybe I knew this would be a terrible picture? Ugh. This is how you all should know your happiness of reading my reports outweighs my better judgement.

Then it was off to see some butterflies.

From there we passed a Fantasia topiary on the way to ride Figment.

Figment was…Figment. I don’t know. It’s fine, but we aren’t Figment people.

Then we made our way to the sustainable eats booth (I think that’s what it was called). The food was very yummy. On the right was some type of fish and the left was a bean thing, maybe? I’ll do better with my food and wine reporting, promise!

Next it was to the Pineapple place.

I got some kind of pineapple wine I believe, which I’m holding, and we walked toward Canada. Love these cuties.

We stopped to watch the lumberjack show which was entertaining, but I don’t have to see it again.

We made our way from Canada after watching the show toward the UK, but along the way I spotted a pretty princess in a blue dress meeting behind where those large gates are typically. I pulled Cory over and they shut the gate after us. We got to meet a very lovely Ariel who was training. During the meet before us, the gem on her chest fell off the dress and she handled it very well and it stuck right back in place. We talked about how my shirt looked like fish scales and then we were off.

Once we made it to the UK, I had to stop and admire their Shakespeare garden. It had many flowers influenced and chosen based on different plays. Loved this.

We also admired the Peter Pan topiaries as it is my favorite movie. This Tic Toc Croc has been around for ages, but he really is adorable.

We stopped in France for a giant macaroon and yum, this was delicious. Their macaroons are just top notch.

We stopped and sat for a bit just enjoying the atmosphere.

And Cogsworth is too cute. I love how they look like they are celebrating in the flowers lol

Then it was on to Morocco for a tasty Kefta pocket. They also have these during Food and Wine. Love these.

From Morocco it was on to Japan to enjoy our marriage spot and get some Frushi! I hate sushi, but I was pretty certain I’d love Frushi. We will just say we were very disappointed when they didn’t have it at Food and Wine a week ago. Cory kept asking for it.

We sat for a bit and watched the drummers and grabbed a pic. I just love that we can always visit where we were married.

Italy is always prettier during Flower and Garden.

This felt really organic and authentic to me (though I’ve never been to Italy).

“Turn around, I need to show people the crowds!”

Snow White in Germany. Never able to shake those dwarfs.

China is so pretty. We came super close to getting married here and I wish we at least got some pictures.

After our stroll around World Showcase, it was off to Hollywood Studios for Character Palooza!

Good update! Love all the food pics. Sorry frushi was not that good. It looked interesting, but maybe too interesting! haha

I'm just getting started on disboards in general and stumbled across your posts. Your trip reports are SO GREAT! I just wanted to say how much I appreciate them. :D

I can't wait to read the rest. When you start your new TR make sure to leave the link so I can follow along. Have fun!! Lata playa.

Thanks! Sorry, I wrote that weird, we LOVED the frushi! We wanted it again at Food and Wine, but I guess it's a Flower and Garden exclusive.

Welcome to the report and boards, Jesskamb!! :wave2: Thank you SO much for your very kind words. I'm so happy you love my reports. :woohoo:

:rotfl:I will absolutely include the link to the new TR once this one is wrapped up! Just saw I'm missing some photos on Photobucket, ugh, so this is a small update, but should be done soon. (Also, how cute is your little baby? Adorable.)

It was our first time at Character Palooza and got there just before they closed the large gate and were happy to see a bunch of characters.

First was Tiana and she is always fantastic and how gorgeous is she? We talked about making beignets for my birthday.

Meeting Genie he pointed to my shirt and acted like this, which we figured out meant he was acting like a Jedi. He tried to explain it to Jasmine, but she had zero idea. It was a hilarious interaction.

It was hysterical and one of the best interactions I’ve had.

While I wasn’t ready for this pic, the genie was with his Jedi move, so I sacrifice my appearance for his lol

We moved on to Mulan. We talked about Jedis and defending ourselves, that while it was nice to have guys around, we didn’t need them. Love her.

Then it was on to Snow White. She was pretty delightful and talked about making pies for birthdays.

Last was Stitch. He’s one of my favorites, but he was just okay, not very energetic.

Next up, an Incredible meet.

We had to meet Mr. Incredible, as Cory matched, and he and Frozone are always fun. (Side note: So sad they are gone now. Boo) I wanted Cory to meet by himself first and they loved that he was wearing the Incredible shirt.

Love this one.

And then we met them together. Love!

We then went and checked out Toy Story Midway Mania, but decided not to wait. We were heading to our third park for the day.

The sunset was pretty.

We wanted to see Wishes, so while waiting, we went and played a few games of Sorcerer’s of the MK.

We headed to the front of the castle to view Wishes. Don’t you just love this show?

This one shows our location better.

Then it was back to the hotel to get some rest before our next day.

I will absolutely include the link to the new TR once this one is wrapped up! Just saw I'm missing some photos on Photobucket, ugh, so this is a small update, but should be done soon. (Also, how cute is your little baby? Adorable.)
You are very kind. He is growing up so fast! He is two months and almost 14 lbs, 2ft tall. I love that kid. I can't wait until we go to Disneyland. I really enjoy your updates and pics. What are the things you loved most about this trip and things you wouldn't do again?

Agree to agree on that one. It awesome and I have always been a fan of Wishes. It is one of the best firework shows I have ever seen. I do want to see Holiday Wishes one of these days. You're awesome keep it up.
