I know it is practically Christmas and folks are busy with real life but I got my new computer all set up, so I'm going to go ahead and post this update.
Well now that I'm at my parent's house, I don't have nearly as many responsibilities (just cooking and Mom helps with that), plus Fran doesn't feel as guilty sleeping most of the day, so I have time to catch up and post on my own TR!
sent dad down to sweet talk them. Apparently it worked and when my mom and I arrived 45 minutes late, we found dad comfortably seated and drinking his coffee.
I've heard at DL that as long as you check in sometime that day after your reservation time, it doesn't count as a no show. I'm glad it worked out for you.
Well this got Mr. Ketchup all excited and he started yelling, “Chad, he wants to put me on his biscuit”
It looks like you got the same Mr. Ketchup as we did!
After breakfast, mom and I caught a bus to Hollywood Studios. First stop was the Launch Bay where the Jawas were roaming about.
Cool! Nice shots with the Jawas!
We had about 30 minutes to get to the Festival Center from the IG
Yikes! That's not a lot of time!
The event in this case was the Mix It! Make It! Celebrate It! Demo which was being led by our friend Chef William Clark from the GF Bakery.
I'll have to read more about this event. I saw another one where they frosted cupcakes and then drank boozy milk shakes. I like the idea of boozy milkshakes, but I like the looks of your dessert better.
Pam, the moderator, was quite the talker.
I have heard this before.
So was that a trifle?
We stopped to look at the chocolate displays in Ghiradelli’s and I purchased a drinking chocolate sample.
I got the drinking chocolate, but I wished that I had taken the time to look at the displays. I pretty much forgot to look at them.
we were aiming for the 9:00 parade so seemed like plenty of time.
This does not bode well.
decided to eat dinner at the Plaza Inn. Three cheers for walk-ups. We were given a table near the entrance with a partial view of the castle. While we munched on plaza fries and a fried green tomato sandwich, we could partially see Celebrate the Magic.
Nice! There are lots of sandwiches there on the menu which look really good!
We found enough room at the edge of the tape border by a walkway with great front row viewing. Since the parade started in Main Street, it was easy to slip out of the park after the last float passed.
Good strategy. Less than a month until the parade opens here. They are having a passholder event to see it first, but didn't sound like $95 worth to me.
