We're DVC members, APs, and TIW card holders. We go twice per year, from MI. I keep a detailed accounting of our actual costs.

In 2017, we'll take TWO trips - eight nights each. We account for our initial DVC up front money (vs latest DISCOUNT rate - not rack), airfare, Dining, Catsitter, Airport parking fees.

In 2017, our "one trip" cost will be/has been $6100 for two. Cash limiting element is not airfare or hotel: it is our inclination to attend a SIG every evening (apx $120 per person). We don't bother with lunch, we eat a good sit down breakfast each morning (apx $20 per person).

Our per trip lodging cost will go down in 2018. 2018 is our DVC break even point.

"All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong."

How did you score WBC at this price? I was quoted $1031 for 1 BDRM and $1332.00 for 2 BDRM
You have to find owners and you have to be willing to wait for last minute deals. With the Wyndham changes next week, it may get worse price wise unless you are truly willing to wait til last minute.

The per person per day is misleading. The more people you have on a room, the lower it will be. POR can sleep 4 or 5, do it is difficult to compare trip prices this way with people traveling with different family sizes. Calculate without the hotel and then stay where you want. (Sorry - I'm a math teacher and can't help thinking about numbers)

Right now about $12k for 4 adults (me, wife and adult-aged daughter and son) at Yacht Club from November 1-10. Hoping for a room discount since I'm currently paying full rate for everything, but may not happen since there is zero availability at Yacht Club for the time we are going.

My cost has lowered by about $700 now because my eldest has decided not to come. So, with $300 less in Dis tickets, $150 less in Uni tickets, $150 less in food, and $100 less in assorted expenses, we are at $5,300.

7 nights at Yacht Club for three adults and two children (oldest ds will be 10 so adult) $6045

Staying at the Contemporary in the garden wing for 6 nights with free dining at the end of August for $4,100+ 2 adults and a teen

Caribbean Beach Resort 12 Nights
12/20 - 1/1
2 Adults, 1 Disney Adult (17) and 2 Kids
10 Day Park Hopper Passes
Free Dining Plan
$6,242.00
*Bonus $900 in gift card (will be used to upgrade to annual passes)*

Is it misleading, or does it reflect the fact that the more you're willing and able to share with other people, the more the cost of visiting Disney goes down? If four solo travelers agreed to share a room, they would save money. ;)

Myself and 4 teenagers. My 3 kids and my son's GF, last 2 weeks of August 2018.
Park tickets (annual passes): $2500
Fort Wilderness cabin: $3500
Food: $3000
Souvenirs etc.: $1000
Flight: $2500

TOTAL: $12,500 or $178.57/day

Rented out DVC points as partial payment: $6000

TOTAL: $6500 or $92.86/day

Disneyland Paris
-3 nights/ 4Days @ Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch
3 Disney Adults and 2 kids
Free Dining
$1350
With an additional 300 "ish" for car rental/ gas and extra food for snacks.

Airfare is not included as this is an extension to our summer trip to Europe.

My partner (his first time ever!) and I (haven't been to WDW since I was 11 ) are going this fall, 11/13-11/21. We're celebrating his birthday there :earsboy:

Our current expenses look like this:

1 night at Port Orleans Riverside (Royal Guest Room): $299.25
7 nights at AKL Jambo House (DVC - we rented points): $1320, + $128 travel protection
Two tickets for MVMCP: $189.58
7 day parkhopper tickets (we bought via ParkSavers last fall): $394.46, x2
Flights: est. ~$400 roundtrip x2, though I have more than enough travel reward points to cover both of us and some hotel stays (and he has frequent flyer miles as well)
Dining + alcohol: generous estimate, about $1K

Grand total: $4,525.75 if we don't redeem travel reward points, or $2,262.88 each OOP

We'll redeem some travel rewards for flights and maybe the POR room if we can't snag a room-only discount for November.
Guesstimate that'll bring the total down to somewhere around $3,600, which means I can use all the saved money to buy souvenirs! :rotfl:

Sooooo excited!!! I've been planning (in spurts) since September of last year :bitelip: I was born and raised in Florida, and my darling dearest has never visited.
I think this trip will go a long way in him understanding my aversion to humidity.

Also, this is my first post on the DIS :wave2:

ETA: bought flights for $298 roundtrip each thanks to Southwest :goodvibes
So $4,321.75 total, $2,160.87 each OOP. If we don't snag a POR room-only discount, I'll be using travel rewards to pay for that night, and maybe for MVMCP tickets or my flight portion.

Also considering bridging to an AP then buying TIW card our first night there before entering parks the next day, because it looks like nearly all of our ADRs accept TIW, and we're going to TWO weddings in spring/summer '18 in Florida -- one of which will actually be held at Disney! An AP certainly makes sense ticket-wise, and TIW does, too.

Well I am a bit embarrased to say this but we are staying 4 nights at the Hard Rock at Universal and 9 nights in a 2 BR Villa at the Beach Club. We are driving and no Dining Plan. It is Memoral Day on...Total Cost w/o food...$20,000

I am still not adding it up because I know it's crazy $

7 people and 15 days. Well over $10k and that's with an offsite house rental.

I'm estimating total costs of $5,000...(We are keeping it kinda low, as this was a very last minute trip for us - we already have a few other trips in the next year

Late Aug 2017
Pet Boarding @ home while we are gone $245
4 R/T Flights: $1415.80
6 nights @ Pop, QS Dining, 5 Day PH: $2796.55
Misc $542.65 - Tips, possibly the MNSSHP, Possibly Memory Maker..
