Disneyland Paris Half 2017

I'm at the Marriott Village d'lle de France. Not sure if that's near Val d'Europe? I'm actually renting a car and am comfortable driving but if I find a train that works I might cancel it!

Anyone have a recommendation on a nice post-half dinner place? We thought maybe Walt's but they aren't open for dinner on Sunday.

Just got an email... pre-order merch is up! Pins and bags, and you can only add to your cart if you're logged in and have purchased a bib.

Seems like you pay when you order and then just pick-up at the expo?
I'm unsure of what to do, since I'm activating my AP when I get there. And with the AP discount I'll get 10% off (since it's limited edition merch). Do you think it will still be available at the expo? Last year the pins sold out fast so it might be best to just pre-order.....

TBH, I would preorder! The 5K Pin is almost sold out, the last time I checked they only had 23 left.

I didn't attend last year, but from what I've read the merch sold out fast and they didn't restock like the US races. If there's something you want, I'd just pre-order and make sure you get it.

I won't know if I'll be able to run this race sometime until next week and I just read on the runDisney Paris site that the medial waiver needs to be completed by Aug 1st in order to run the race. Am I reading that right?

The site says August 1 but everyone who has registered got an email saying it's due August 15, so you still have time.

I'm clearly an over planner, going to do this race in 2018, but I have a maybe silly question, has anyone used uber to get to the race from an off site hotel?
From what I've read the process was difficult but people were able to sign up for individual bibs without a package and that's what I'm hoping to do next year!

In 2016, the local prefect banned all non municipality emergency vehicular traffic during certain times around the race course. That might be why Uber (or BlaBla) would be difficult.\
The four of us in my traveling group were able to get individual bib registrations (no DLP packages). We stayed off property and took the metro in for the morning of the 5K and the half. Super easy quite quick and since we had Navigo cards, the fare was covered.

Ahhhh! I see! Thanks for the info! I didn't think public transportation would run when the race began, then again, I have no idea of the starting times. :thanks:

I received e-mails today confirming that my medical certificate and my Castle to Chateau challenge certificate has been verified and accepted! I'm good to go!

I completed my registration two weeks ago but still no confirmation mail. Anyone else didn't received it?

Where is everyone having celebratory dinners after the races? Does anyone recommend Walt's or Bistrot Chez Remy? Is Bistrot Chez Remy as hard to get into as Be Our Guest?

I completed mine on the 20th; the last member of my group completed theirs on I think the 25th. Our whole group got all our paperwork approved at the same time on the 1st. So perhaps they're going by group, not necessarily by submission date?

Three of us did a walk up to Walt's last year. Even got a window table, overlooking Main Street as evening descended and the lights came up.

I've been trying to upload my race result certificate from the Star Wars Light Side Race 2017, but it keeps saying "Document Refused". I tried uploading the image as a pdf, jpg, png but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had issues with this?

Thankfully they took my certificate from Tink (or maybe Princess) without issue. It does sound like something is up with the file, though, because it's not even letting you upload. I'd email them. I had a few things that I had to change in my registration, and they've been very responsive to emails.

They haven't been very responsive to my email. My wife and I registered for the half. We received two separate emails from them, one addressed to me and one addressed to her, accepting each of our medical certificates. Then I received one email addressed to me saying that "your" registration is fully confirmed. I am not certain if this final confirmation is intended to cover both of our registrations. I did both registrations under my account, so maybe, but on the other hand, we did receive two separate emails about the medical certificates. I sent them an email a week ago today asking for clarification and have not received any response.
