How Long does it take to get a das

dh qualifies but how long is the physical process we well be there well before rope drop well they start the process before the park opens

Guest Relations is open as soon as guests are allowed into the park - and that includes PPO ADRs and Main Street at the MK pre-rope drop. How long may depend on how many others are there at that time. The actual process once it's your turn is relatively short - no more than 10 minutes tops. You may have no wait or a 30 minute wait. You can come back at a later time if the line seems too long and it's close to rope drop when you get there.

Enjoy your vacation!

it depends on a lot of things how many people are infant of you the CM you get what you need to tell the CM ( some CM want more infrormation then others) if you there before RD you should have no problem, but sometime I wait to get my DAS until just after the park opens since the CM will often give you a return time, This way I do not have to worry about RD crowds and I can hang back take my time to my first ride and ride when I get there.

Just wondering how can a cm give you a return time for a attraction not judging just clueless

if you wait until the park opens then they can do it form there iPad ( the same thing they use to do the DAS on)

Just about every CM has given me a return time when the park is open. I think there has been maybe one or tow that would not and most of them ask me what ride I would like to go to first

Cool that is a huge help

Since your husband will have the ECV, what would you expect the DAS to do for him? For what reason/s is he unable to wait in a standard line? He may not need or be eligible for the DAS.

He has asd so crowds

just having ASD does not mean he qualifies.

WHAT happens when he is in a crowd and can there be steps that he ( and you) can take to alleviate the issue? there will be crowds even with the DAS when going through the FP line or in areas where the pre load section is a big room( Haunted mansion, Muppets, etc) many people have suggested that creating a larger than usual personal space( which he automatically has being in an ECV) minimizes triggering. using Fast passes judiciously is also a tried and true method. noise cancelling earplugs/headphones.

furthermore most crowding is in the parks themselves, NOT in lines. DAS does nothing for that

I get it I was in the wrong in my op even has a adult he gets agitated not to noticeable

I might just have to budget to get my mom a ecv as well I know there is a sticky for how much they are uptop

So the Das lies somewhere between her being worried about dh and his mental disability and the fact that she is getting older I did not want to tell her how sketchy that sounded to me because she is paying the bill but worst case I can pay for her park ecv

Sorry I do not under stand this post at all ( and I have a hard time try to say thing I want to something so I get it)

but just because you have XYZ DX dose not mean you will be given a DAS. You have to tell the CM at GR why you need a DAS card and then they decide if you need one or not. Just like the PP said the DAS dose not help with every thing and having a back up plane ( like for someone that can not stand too long can use an mobility device, someone that has a hard time with bright light will use sunglasses ) you need to come up with things to make your DH vacation easer and not just relay on getting a DAS.

@tinkerbellandeeyor I think you've been doing s terrific job planning this trip and considering all the possible "what if" situations. Based on reading many of your posts over time, I think you just need to stop by Guest Relations and explain your DH's needs for a DAS. OBB the odd chance they refuse then, try the park for a bit and then return to Guest Relations (later the same day or another day) to mention the specific challenges he encountered without the DAS. As for your mom and an ECV -- I'd let her decide. Bring the name and phone number of a rental company in case she decides mid-trip that it is too much walking for her.

You are going to have an awesome trip!

I understand and the more emotion I have the harder I am to understand. I take full responsibility. Honestly in broad daylight I don't understand why dh needs a das I don't either we are going over to her house to talk more about it if she is worried about her self like I suspect then I can get her a wheel chair

For those who have done it how hard is it to push someone bigger then you she is not over weight but she has some height and weight on me

If you are not sure why your DH needs a DAS I would suggest not getting one right a way and when/if there is a problem then this is when you should go to GR and it will be easer to stay my DH was in this line this happened, and he. ( what I am trying to say is it will be fresh in your mind)

as fair as your mom ( I think this is who you are asking about pushing in a wheel chair) Disney wheel chair are not that good they really are hard to push I would think pushing a wheel chair from off site. I did spend push a wheel chair of someone 2x over my weight when ai was younger and only had a problem going up step hills ( like ramps to the second floor) but every one is different you might night have any problems or you may have a lot ( or any where in-between)

Can we go back to the land of make believe please because I want need to get the planning under way

How many passes can dh get in a day

not sure what you are asking

are you asking how many DAS passes you can get
1 DAS pass you can be on one DAS return time, you have have one DAS return time.

The DAS will not let you do more rides then other guess do ( it really should not but you can have a return time and use a FP at the same time)

So if you are asking how many DAS return times he can get in one day this depends there have been days I have only gotten 2 or 3 and then there are days I have had about 10 return times after you ride and use your DAS you can get another one, so if a ride is only 20 minute wait, you can get another one faster then if the line is 2 hours.

With a DAS? He can get as many "return times" as you find possible. But he can only have one at a time -- so if you get s return time for say Buzz Lightyear and you can return in 1 hour, he can't get another return time at a different ride until you use the one for Buzz. So how many he can get/use in one day depends on how long the lines are. Be sure to plan your FP+ for your most important rides and/or the ones with the longest wait times.

Enjoy your vacation!

everyone can get 3 FP+ per day ahead of time. once these are used up, you can get one at a time for the rest of the day via the kiosks around the park

if you are referring a DAS return time: those are one at a time. again, good planning means you can grab a DAS return time for Ride A, use FP for Ride B and then head back to Ride A with minimal wait overall.

FTR: this alone means someone with a DAS automatically has a more enhanced experience. between someone in line at Ride A who is stuck there for 45 minutes and the DAS holder who gets to shop or eat or ride instead of being in line for 45 minutes, who do you think has a better experience?

I know it seem like people with a DAS get more out things because as you just put we are not standing in 45 minute line, but things I have done while wait for my return time have been yes doing one of my FP rides, shopping, eating but I have all so been in the back of an ambience going to the ER, in first aid, but most of the time just sitting some where that is quiet with my ear buds in listing to music.

OP I know it is fun to plane but please do not get too over bard with planing, things will go wrong and you just can not plane for every what ifs. I do not want you to not have a good vacation because you did not get in 10 rides a day or you missed the show. I would plane your 3 FP and maybe where you would like to eat. and a few would be nice to do things. Take some time to just enjoy the I am at Disney and take all the small things in. But I do get the planing is fun. I am the man planer for my family and I want thing to be perfect ( so my family will want to go more, so then I can go more) but there comes a point where you just over plane

My mistake we talked and my mom did not realize that the lines in animal kingdom were main stream in other words 1.she did not realize the ecv could go though the lines and she and I both have faith that dh can make in the reg line no das needed as far as she is convinced she said she does not need a wheelchair
