We made a rookie mistake this morning, we went into the CH to catch the monorail to the TTC, duh! It's not like I read a ton of info on these boards and knew our long house was 5 minutes from the TTC. Don't do this!! We added at least 15-20 minutes to our travel time.

I want to say I so agree with @chunkymonkey the double security checks when traveling to Epcot from the TTC really stinks. I sure hope they change this soon.

Haha I didn't realize we could walk to the TTC on our first stay at the Poly back in 2013, but after that we realized how easy it was to get to Epcot!
Of course, now that the double bag check is there, it makes it WORSE!!

We were called into our ADR at about 2:15 so this was nice, our ADR was for 2:40. We actually had a table that was a four top in a decent spot, yippee for the little things lol!
Our waiter was very nice, we ordered some cokes and the loaded fries to start with.
These were very delicious, I would recommend these! The cheese sauce, ranch dressing, and toppings were just perfect on the fries.

Epcot was not real busy today so this was nice. We decided to change our CS FP to Figment, we do CS so often, we weren't feeling it today. We spent some time exploring our imagination with a purple dragon. Andi was able to snag a 4th FP for FEA! We had some time before this so we got a few silly pictures at the photo booth in the Figment play area.

The double bag check is such a pain, the walk to the TTC was so easy once we remembered to,do it!
I definitely recommend the loaded fries, hopefully these will stay on the menu for awhile.

Thanks! We had a nice morning at Epcot and really enjoyed the 4th FP for Frozen, it is a bummer with the tiers at Epcot.

Lunch was really good and we had perfect timing with the torrential downpour!

I think the ADR's are from 11:00-3:00? It then goes to walk-ups but don't quote me, because you are right it is confusing! The lunch was good and we had a decent table yippee!

Andi and I loved Maelstrom and were somewhat bitter when it changed. Now, I enjoy the Frozen ride but still miss the quirky Maelstrom.

Me, too! I loved that ride. But I do enjoy FEA, too.

RIP Maelstrom, you are right it was really jerky, remember the trolls "disappear, disappear" so fun!

Time to get this party started! Part 2 of Day 4! Rey wait for BB8.

Boo to you, Happy Halloween!

It was time to get ready for the MNSSHP, we dressed up this year! I was BB8 and Andi was Rey. I love SW and lately as I get older I am always telling Andi to wait up for dear old mom so I decided on these costumes! Andi isn't a big SW fan but she does like the newest one with Rey and BB8 so it was a win win.

We took the monorail over to MK around 5:00pm, we got our wristbands and a treat bag with a few treats already in it. Our plan was to go over to Storybook circus area to wait for Cruella de Vil. We were about 4th in line, she was fashionably late! We had never met her so this was fun!


I know our shoes don't really work with our costumes, oh well we had to be comfortable!
This area was busy with The 7 dwarves meet as well, the line was to long for us, we headed over to Buzz Lightyear and Andi was once again a galactic hero!


We checked the line for Lotso but it was longer than we wanted to wait so we passed on this. As we headed out of Tomorrow land there was a PP on the bridge so we did a few pictures and one was a magic shot!


The plan was to head into Adventure land to meet Tarzan, Jane, and Terk. The line was not real long but it was so slow moving! There were CM's on their night off in the line and they all spent a long time with the characters, one of the CM's was dressed as Cinderella and a little girl and boy behind us thought she was the real Cinderella and wanted a picture with her. She was very gracious and posed with them, she was a beautiful Cinderella, I think she must be friends with Cinderella! Finally, it was our turn, Terk left for a break but we decided to meet Tarzan and Jane without Terk since we have met her before. The picture quality is not the best, Jane was very sweet and Tarzan was just fine!

We headed over to PoC, great fun and a walk on
On to BTMRR, this was also a walk on, we enjoyed the wildest ride in the Wilderness! Next was HM, the lady ghost was on break so we didn't see her in the line, it was really fun to see all the CM's with the ghoulish faces, very cool they do this for the Halloween nights! I wish I would have took a picture of one of the CM's, oh well I got the creepy gravestone!

Cont. fun at the MNSSHP! So after HM we decided to check out the candy spots! We hit all the spots this year and it was so fun, we really didn't encounter long lines at all. The CM's were all enjoying handing out candy. So with full candy bags we decided to have a frozen Coke and Mickey pretzel. We sat at the Lunching Pad and enjoyed seeing some cool costumes. We saw quite a few Peter Pan families, Pirates, Dalmatians, and Villain characters.


After our snack, we ventured into Fantasy land and watched Hallow Wishes, such beautiful fireworks, so awesome. We worked our way back over to Adventure land and decided to meet Jafar, he was hanging out with a very short line so we were in! He is one Andi did not have in her autograph book. He was a fun meet, I was surprised he could sign with those hands!

We decided to get some popcorn and drinks and get ready for the second parade! While I was in line for the popcorn, the Ghost Lady (sorry I don't know her name) was walking by and a guy in the popcorn line says to her "looking good" and she turns and says in a southern drawl, "well Thank you, I am dead" it was really funny. Popcorn and drinks in hand, and lots of candy, we were ready to wait for the parade, our spot was across from the Country Bears. The Cadaver Dan's came by to sing to us while we were waiting. Here are a few pictures of the parade! It was so fun, this is still my favorite parade of all.

Sorry for the not so great pictures, after the parade we decided to hit PoC again and get a couple magic shots before it was time to head out. We picked up the special Halloween pin as well.

So my thoughts on this party,
Awesome for sure, this was our third Halloween party and I think my favorite so far with last October's in a close second. This was the best night of our August trip for me!
The weather was warm and humid but no rain, crowds were small, the character meets we did were so fun, loved the parade, fireworks, and the tons of candy we got.


We didn't see the Hocus Pocus show but really did a lot! We left MK about 12:00am and headed back to the Poly on the monorail with very little wait so this was nice.

Another great day and night was in the books!

Day 5 coming soon. A super hot day in AK and our first experience with FoP!

I've done MNSSHP twice now and I absolutely love everything about it! The Plaza is one of my favs too. I think the food is really good!

Looks like you all had an awesome time at the Halloween party. Love, love, love your costumes. So much fun!

We're doing the Xmas party for the first time in November and I'm really excited, though worried about all the long character lines. But we'll make use of the no lines for rides regardless, so figure that is "worth" the price of admission

Day 5, AK in the am, MK in the pm.

Hi Everyone,

I sure hope everyone is having a great day! This TR so far has been so fun for me to write, I love reviewing our trip and reliving the days. So let's continue shall we!

Day 5, 8/30/17 Wednesday. This was our 1/2 way mark already of our 10 day trip! Time goes quickly on regular days but at Disney it really flies!

We had a good nights sleep and got on a bus for AK about 9:30, we did have to wait about 40 minutes this morning for a bus, worse wait we had. Our FP+ today were Safari, FoP, Dinosaur. Morning at AK is so wonderful! We headed to Africa to look a round and check out the sweet shop and store. I always find something in this store, today I just looked and admired the cool stuff.

We got a mango passion slushee in the sweet shop to share, it was already very hot! Today and the next day were the hottest and most humid of the trip. The feel like temp today was 104 degrees! We found a PP at one of our favorite photo spots so we got a few pictures.


We leisurely walked around enjoying the sights and sounds of Harambe, we decided to have a light lunch early since we had an ADR for 1900 PF later for dinner.

The Harambe market place was a spot we wanted to try. We looked over the menu and decided on sharing the Chicken Tikka Masala, this came with basmati rice and black-eyed pea salad. This was very good, we enjoyed this while relaxing in the Harambe market place.


The next thing was the Safari, we headed over to use our first FP. We had a very good driver, she was easy to understand, sometimes the drivers are hard to hear or speech is not clear. She was very informative and we did see a fair amount of the animals out in the savanna. I have been on many Safaris here at AK and this was in the top 10! We didn't take many pictures just sat back and enjoyed.


After the Safari, a tour kiosk caught our eye, we went over to ask about the Caring for Giants tour. Well, a tour was starting in about 5 minutes and there was room for us, so, we decided to join in.


The tour was $52.00 for the two of us with the AP discount, it was an hour long which was just right because it was very hot! We headed backstage to an air conditioned bus, the bus took us to the elephant area. We were behind the Safari road. This tour was really fun, we learned many interesting facts about elephants, I won't say much in case you all want to do the tour. AK has a total of 10 elephants, 3 are male and 7 are female. The youngest is named Sasha and she has a sister. Disney gives 100% of the tour money to conservation efforts. Here are a few pictures from the tour. It was surface of the sun hot so we found an area which was shaded for most of the tour, thank goodness!


It was time for our FoP FP shortly after the tour so we headed to Pandora, the land was not as busy today as our first day! We jumped in the FP line and we were so excited to experience this ride. Our experience was so great. I enjoyed the pre-show where we were linked with our Avatars! I was a little nervous when I got on my ride vehicle but it was pretty comfortable and no problems. The ride was so awesome, the banshee was breathing beneath you and the land was visually stunning. I loved it. It did remind me a little of HP FJ at US IOA but it was also very different, hard to describe, JUST DO IT, if you can, you will love it.


We decided on another Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu before heading off to ride Dinosaur, after this we got some ice water, remember it was so freakin hot!! We then headed to the bus and cooled off in the air conditioning on the ride back to the Poly.
