I love credit cards so much!

So the FrdmUnlmtd and SW+ will fall off in the next 6 months - seems to me you can almost approach this as you are 1/24 if you space apps out (which you probably will anyways with the amount of min spend). If I understand things correctly you could practically get 7 Chase cards still...example strategy:

1) CIP - under 5/24 but doesn't count against 5/24
2) SW Premiere
3) SW Biz - under 5/24 but doesn't count against 5/24
4) Freedom - just saying as an example
5) SW Plus - once you're past Jun or Jul or whatever
***at this point you are technically 4/24 (with your CSP) and can do a double dip***
6) Marriott
7) ??? Not even sure lol - maybe United?

You could slow your Pace with Chase by putting an AMEX Biz card or two in there also. Others may have different ideas but you are at a really great spot!!

Thank you! Those business cards make me nervous. I did have an etsy shop doing disney attire but closed when my dd2 was born. I have considered reopening it and if I do I will apply for business stuff I guess.
Y’all make it sound so easy to get them!

i recall it ends on the 14th. and yes.

I know for the ebags offer, it was once per Chase pay account and did not include the CSR. Do you know which cards the WM offer is good for? The DP's seem all over the place with this.

I was so nervous to apply and now, even though dh & I each have gotten the CIP, I was *still* nervous to apply for an 'easier to get' Amex biz card. Again, I was easily approved. The whole deal of a business card really makes me nervous. But it's been surprisingly easy and in your case, I would just apply with your Etsy business in mind (years in the business, expected income, etc.)...even if you don't expect to re-open for a bit...and then, PLEASE pm me the link for your Etsy shop once you re-open. My girls and I love buying Disney stuff from Etsy sellers :)

I think the Walmart/Chase Pay promo works with all UR earning cards that work with Chase Pay, so CF, CFU, Sapphire, CSP, and CSR; no Ink cards.

It worked on our Freedom and CSRs.

So I don't suppose the SPG folks could activate a 7+ year old SPG number that was never registered online? :) Hubby was very diligent when he had to stay at Le Meridian a couple times for work way back and kept the rewards card with his number but failed to finish the account online as far as he can remember. If he did create the account it was with an email account that's been deleted. I'm guessing it's not even worth trying to call for a couple of lifetime nights (like 2 weeks worth)? (as I'm sure the points have way expired.)
Started looking into linking his Marriott with a SPG to expand our options. Got excited for a second but I think we're back to creating a new SPG account :)

Ok - not so humble brag for a moment...

I completed my write-up on the "all my cards" thread on DISchurners. Our most recent card was our 60th since we started churning so a somewhat momentous occasion. I included all 60 in the writeup so you might find it interesting - or you may think I'm crazy haha. I'm certainly not an expert in high end travel but I am all about budget travel and cash back to offset budget travel and the write-up does a nice job capturing that.

Ok end my not so humble brag moment...

Ooohhh no! Guess I am sending back one of my ebags orders. I seem to always miss these small details. Ha!

I got the Walmart offer on my csp and cf and also DH csr.

I have read people getting the ur bonus on both cf and csp???

Good info. DH has an Amex we rarely use, but I want to get my own after I am 5/24. Mine was Costco so closed down when they went to citi...and I didn’t have MR points on it.

If you can pull a 100k MR signup offer on the Amex Platinum, now would be a great time to apply so you can triple dip on the airline credit. I posted about this last week. The Plat does come with a $5k/3 months spend. I don't recall where you are on your */24 with Chase, but Amex takes about 2 billing cycles to report to the CR agencies so Chase wouldn't count a new Plat for those two months.

Well my google express order should arrive today so that is good. There was zero communication from them about it, but whatever.
However, the charge on the card is still pending...from 12/8. SO weird. I wish it would post along with the credit so i know I got the Amex rebate. If I didn’t ieill return the item and try again.

I am 3/24 currently, but one falls off in March and another in May. Getting SW CP is top priority, but I have to wait til June because of the bonus every 24mths thing.
Should I still do the Amex now?

The only SW you need to wait to re-apply for is the Plus. Each card stands on its own. You could apply for Premier (40k bonus) and Business (60k bonus) immediately since you have not had those cards.

I'm also aiming for SW CP. If you go for it in June, you only have it for 2018 and 2019, correct? Isn't it better to get it closer to the end of 2018 so you get it for 2019 and 2020 (two full years)? I'm a SW newbie so trying to figure this out.

If you can pull up a 100k MR offer on the Platinum in the next week or two, I'd jump on it. The Platinum would show as a new account on your credit reports around February 2018 (until then, you're still 3/24 in Chase's eyes), putting you temporarily then at 4/24 (one slot left good for 2 Chase cards if something really good comes up); otherwise you'll have a card drop off in March and then another one in May, putting you back down to 2/24 (I think I have my math right? It's early here) for the likely two SW cards you'd need for CP.

Since you mentioned SW, even though the Platinum comes with a $550 AF, it's offset in part by a $200 per calendar year airline fee credit. Data points on Flyertalk and reddit say you can buy 1x $200 SW egift card from southwest .com to trigger the Platinum's airline fee credit. You'll need to select Southwest as your airline. If you get the Platinum this month, you can and should use up this year's $200 credit, then the credit will be available again starting January 1, 2018, and you can triple dip one more time in January 2019 about when your 2nd AF is due. If you cancel afterwards, you'll get a refund of that AF and will have pocketed $600 in SW gift cards, hopefully the 100k MR bonus, and more, for one $550 AF.

Typically, yes, so that you get the longest use of it. My points should post on 1/2/18 and 1/5/18 and I'll have CP for almost 2 full years but when DH did his in 2016, I don't think he got it until early March which was ok since all of our SW travel was for 2016 was after that time so we still got full advantage of it based on our needs.

Will Amex expedite the Platinum like Chase did with the CSR?

Yes! I called to ask they expedite my Platinum, told them I had some traveling coming up soon, and they overnighted the card to me.

ETA: I suppose you could also fib a little and tell them you're trying to plan some upcoming travel.
