I reported this on another thread but here are two things I have experienced this week:
1. Alcohol is included in the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg
2. Lapu Lapu at Ohana is included but in a large glass instead of the pineapple.
Is the lapu lapu good? I generally find 151 really strong. I usually only get drinks with it if they light it on fire lol

Mine was VERY strong. I couldn't taste anything but rum. I mentioned it to the waitress and she kinda laughed. Later she noticed that I was drinking it slowly, (I'm telling ya I would of been on the floor if I drank it all) and she asked if I wanted more juice. It made it MUCH better!

Yeah, I think I’ll opt for one of the other drinks lol

Lapu lapu is my fav! I think a lot of the appeal is the pineapple though Heading to Pop on January 30th and I love reading all these new details!

That's the only way I could drink it was adding more juice, but I didn't read the description I was all like oh look a pineapple and figured it would be like a pina colada.. Nope it has 5 liquors in it... DH read description and didn't bother to tell me thinking it was funny.. Yea its a good thing we were staying at the Poly..

...we could have any beverage priced $16 or less but this did NOT include any souvenir cups.

I wonder if this covers the liter of beer at Biergarten then since it's around $14-$15, or if they will only let you have the 1/2 liter.

ok, dumb question, but WHERE on the app should I see my dining credits? Or do I not see them until I check in?

Back from our short trip...things did eventually get worked out with our plan and we ate at the following restaurants: Splitsville (previously mentioned), Sci Fi Diner, 50s Prime Time, Tusker House, Homecoming, and Crystal Palace. We thought it was funny that we had to ask at each place what specialty beverages were included. Most places were quick to share the non alcoholic specialties and then would say, almost as an afterthought, “alcoholic beverages are included too, but you don’t have the get them” It became comical, because this occurred at almost every meal.

We inquired at Crystal Palace about specialty beverages that may be included and the server said there were none at all. We knew there would be no alcohol there, we were just hoping they would have some sort of slushy, smoothie, or milkshake.

Some other interesting notes: the only place we were given a top dollar amount for the specialty/alcoholic beverages was Splitsville. Also, at each restaurant where my kids ordered Specialty beverages, they were reminded that there are no refills on them. And finally, at Sci Fi, we wanted coffee with our dessert and were charged separately for this (because we ordered Milkshakes as our drinks). In our previous experiences, coffee had been offered with dessert at no additional cost even if we had ordered soft drinks with dinner.

We had a great New Year celebration at the World. I always appreciate so much the tips & tricks I learn here on the Boards, so hopefully sharing our experience will help others get some insights into the dining plan additions!

What I am wondering about the most is the snack credits. Is it an absolutely anything over $5 is not included, or could it just vary by the location? Could Disney be cracking down on the snack credits to make up for the alcohol being included? It sounds like they are not wanting the inclusion of alcohol to be widely advertised. Is this the first year they removed the desserts from the counter service options?

Where have you heard anything over $5 is no longer included?

This is just the "actual experiences" thread - you'll probably find more information in the discussion thread here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/2018-disney-dining-plan-prices-general-discussion.3612557/

I was thinking I read it here. I know I read somewhere that the creme brulee at WGPE was not included as it was $6, then someone posted that they were able to get it? But I have also seen lists where some things over $5 were included as well. Just somewhat confused on this aspect of it.

We have the summer quick service plan with one meal a day. Any guesses if we will be able to get specialty/alcoholic drinks with that?
