***Official March 2019 Spring Into Disney Thread!***

Anyone else have a running list of souvenirs to buy when there? :o
Here is mine, so far....
New doorhangers
Business shirts-maybe
Mickey sipper at MK (Sooo cute)
Mickey balloon popcorn bucket-MK (Again, sooo cute)

Every time a new item is posted, I want!

I don't have a full list yet, but we always get a Christmas ornament to commemorate our Disney trips so I'll definitely be looking for that. I'm planning on doing a full Disney tree this year with all of our past ornaments.

We do this too - love looking back at all our ornaments!

Yep! I’ll be looking for that special ornament as well :D

I want to try the Peter Pan Float, also I want to try the cheeseburger eggrolls, and the drink from Pongu Pongu. I know these aren't souvenirs but these are a must try for me.

I keep watching DFB videos with my kids and they keep telling me to write down snacks we have to try. Last night we watched “25 must try snacks” and the 7 year old was outraged when I suggested we might not be able to try them ALL. (Apparently he’s forgotten that he also wants to ride every single ride, see all the shows, look for all the hidden mickeys, meet all the characters, etc...) But yes, all three of those are on our snack list!

We are usually not souvenir people, and big souvenirs especially due to luggage space, but ornaments are a great idea! Do they tend to have them year round at most gift shops? Any places that have an especially great selection?

Other than that, biggest collects pressed pennies, so I should make sure our list is updated so we don’t get any duplicates. And we’re definitely going to get a popcorn bucket of some kind—I’m tempted by the balloon one, but we don’t get to MK until day three, and we’re probably better off with a slightly more portable design if we’re going to succeed in bringing it home.

I watch DFB as well! She is a true foodie so, I love watching her reviews! I came up with my list too from watching her.

I watch DFB too. The tim tracker is another one I watch.
I want a Mickey Sipper as well!!
I started collecting magnets from our travels. It's a lot easier to go on vacation now that I am retired for the Army, I never want the wife to say we don't ever do anything.

We watched the DFB videos on snacks last night! :D

You can go to the Christmas shop in MK. That's all they sell :) It's in Liberty Square.

we always get an ornament-actually, usually one for me and one for each kid. I’m thinking most of our other souvenir money will be spent on Harry Potter stuff, though we aren’t big souvenir people-and we are in the midst of a remodel so nooo more stuff if possible .

I see some of you are doing both DAH and EMM at HS. Is there enough to do there to make it worth it? I’ve been watching EMM reports and folks seem to get a ton done.

Getting excited about staying at the BW for the first time and being able to walk to parks :). Nervous about crowd levels but nothing to be done about that...

Hi folks! Just booked a rather late March trip arriving the 9th, leaving the 15th. We will be doing 5 days total in the parks, and due to budget concerns will to stay off site this trip.

I have a couple of questions for the seasoned vets here...

1. How bad are my fastpass options going to be setting up 30 days out instead of 60? I know it's very likely FOP, 7DMT, Test Track and other super popular rides will be completely taken. Rope drop? Touring plan? Skip what is not vital to the kiddos?

2. I've never been in March before. Our last two trips were the week before Christmas break and it was insane, but I was staying at Pop or Movies and had my 60fp, advanced dining, ect. How busy will the 2nd week in March be compared to the week before Christmas?

I know how to plan somewhat, but am still an absolute rookie compared to most of the pros on here.

Thanks in advance!! :groom:

We're going at that time too. This will be our 3rd time in this week.

1. Keep checking - especially in the week before you go and right when you first get there. As plans shift, people will drop things and you may be able to snag them. Disney may expand capacity too. Otherwise, try to rope drop or do at the very end of the day.
2. It won't be worse than that pre-Christmas week. It won't be empty, but it shouldn't be horrible. Plan well, go early or stay late, and bring your patience. :)

Keep your eyes on the park hours. If they extend you should be able to get those FPs. Last year I got FoP at less than 30 days out when they changed AK hours.

You won't get Slinky at 30 days and they rarely change HS hours. I would hit that one at park close or rope drop it. I prefer night time, as TSL is so much better then.

28 days away. Magicbands have shipped. Plans are almost set. Have most of our desired Fastpasses, but still checking for possible time upgrades. ADR's look good. DD3 is 39.75 inches. Hoping for a smidge of growth over the next month so she can ride Star Tours, Dinosaur and a few others. If not that's cool. It'll still be her first time on Slinky Dog and 7DMT. She did Barnstormer last year and she liked it. I was more worried than her. She is really tiny and it was a rough ride. She came through it good though and I think she is ready for the bigger ones(maybe not Big Thunder, but we will see if she hits the big 40 inches). Anyways, here's a rough sketch of the plans:

Sunday(H.S.)
-Arrive at Pop and catch a bus to H.S.
-FPP: ToT, Star Tours, and SDD
-Shows: Frozen, Little Mermaid, Dance Party, Fantasmic
-ADR: Sci-Fi Diner Lunch

Monday(Epcot)
-Rope Drop Soarin
-FPP: Land, Spaceship Earth, Frozen
-ADR: Biergarten Lunch

Tuesday(AK)
-Rope Drop FOP and Rider Swap it
-FPP: Na'vi(split),Kilimanjaro Safari, FOP(split)
-Non-ADR: Flametree BBQ and Satuli Canteen

Wednesday(MK)
-Rope Drop Peter Pan
-FPP: 7DMT, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder
-ADR: BOG Lunch
-Welcome Show and Parade hopefully

Thursday(Epcot Festival Day)
-Rope Drop Test Track
-FPP: Frozen
-ADR: Rose and Crown Dinner
-Illuminations for the last time

Friday(MK)
-Rope Drop Pirates and Jungle Cruise
-FPP: Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, 7DMT
-ADR: Skipper Canteen Lunch
- Happily Ever After Dessert Party after Fireworks

Saturday:
-Ohana Breakfast
-Disney Springs Shopping

We're happy with the pre-planning so far and just waiting for the month to pass. Planning last minute purchases and packing decisions.

I have been waiting for MK to extend hours on 3/3 and I am just about to give up hope. This is ridiculous! 8pm closing for real? :sad2:
