I think my issue is the auto-pay. It only let me apply $300 because my balance due is just over $200. Once I was officially in the negative, it told me I could not make anymore payments. I will try again with my last 2 cards next month.

Yeah could be something with the auto-pay discount or it could be a recent change... or maybe a difference between CC and GC payments?? We're on auto-pay but not on a plan with a discount, so we just pay with a CC. It's been a few month since we over paid and a while since we maxed out the credit balance limit, since we sadly did not get the Verizon offer ( never paid with an AmEx before either. They keep pushing AT&T on us).

We also have our Wireless and FiOS bills separate so at one point we had $500 credit on both to max out a category one quarter. But never tried with a GC since we don't need a work around to pay with CC, maybe applying GCs is different? (you'd think a credit is a credit but who knows what Verizon thinks)

So I was going to apply for a cip today, but discovered I have just over $65,000 on credit limits from chase. They seem to have increased them despite me cutting them all back over the summer.

how long to wait to apply after I reduce my CLs?
I have a dozen chase products I've never reduced I always ask them to move if I have to, not sure why you would want to for utilization anyway.

Oh that's interesting! I need to wait a couple more days to pay mine... I'll have to see if they will limit me due to Auto Pay and amount due as well. Thanks, @PolyRob :)

Verizon can be so strange! I just tried to process another $100 because the banner saying I already made payments was gone. I was so hopeful until I got to this point and it would not process 😔

As a counter point - I would say our best memories of a character meal was a breakfast at Crystal Palace when DS was 4. He really engaged with the characters, ate more than I think we had ever seen him eat for breakfast...and the best part, as we were heading towards the door on our way out, Pooh was standing in front of the buffet and DS let go of my hand and ran to Pooh and gave him a massive hug for like 20 seconds. It was just so awesome to watch the joy on his face that day.
Same perspective from me. Our daughter is only 3 (4 in January) and this has been our experience on our last two trips. We did character meals both before she turned 3 and now twice since and she is so excited about the characters now. She loved the Bon Voyage breakfast both trips at 3 and this trip she remembered the "fish parade" as she called it. She proudly announced that she was now old enough to do the parade alone. I enjoy it enough to justify the cost and she is a decent eater too, so that helps.

If you're at Boardwalk you could look at the Bon Voyage Breakfast. The food is a little more adventurous but it was really good and we had a lot of fun with the princes and princesses!
We love this breakfast! The food is good (especially the calzone if you eat meat) and the characters are fun. The food is served at the table and service has been fantastic which is nice when managing breakfast, characters, and a kid. We also really like meeting the princes with the princesses.

I'm right there with you. I tried on my Fios bill and the system wouldn't allow that either. I'll try when the next bill generates on the 1st and see what happens. If I have to, I will go down to the store and see if they'll do it manually. Thankfully, I have a really nice one 5 minutes up the road.

I have done it within a day or two after them replying that they reduced them, as long as I saw it reflected in my account.

Sometimes issuers like Chase don't like to extend more than a certain amount of credit, I can't recall right off but usually the advice here is to stay at/under maybe 50% of household income for better approval odds.

The general advice is to keep your chase credit limits less than about 60k or 50% of household income, whichever is lower.

also I don’t want to call and recon on a cip- don’t want eyes on my account. Would rather increase my chances of autoapproval

ahh, ok didn't know this maybe I haven't hit these thresholds yet.

That sounds vaguely familiar. I'll check it out.

Sometimes you get a rep that's not willing to move credit and it ends up in a denial. Not sure what codes or messages pop up on the screen when it's a CL issue but there are some reports that offering to move credit from another card didn't work and no go. With Chase, if you do it preemptively there seems to be a better chance of instant, or at least auto, approvals.

It can be helpful as well when applying to a card type you don't have much room to move around, like you may have a ton of personal credit but very little business credit. Since Chase takes into account both your personal and biz CL when calculating your available credit to income ratio, it could be hard to get approved for another business card if you bump up against that limit and don't have enough biz credit to move. In that case you'd want to preemptively reduce your personal limits to give room for a new biz card.

You'd definitely want to load balance to account for your utilization. I wouldn't advocate reducing a card you're actively using to a low limit, that's a good point, but I think many of us here have a good number of Chase cards and probably aren't actively using all of them. Especially if you've received a CSR with a 30k+ limit. I'd think most people chasing sign up bonuses aren't putting an additional 20k on their CSR every month too so a 30k CL is excessive and would be better used on a new card ;) So for me while it was fun to have a 30 some thousand CL on one card, it didn't last long. I reduced that down and got like 4 more cards instead, all with instant or auto approvals.

True, especially since I'm about to PC a CSP to a CSR. But it's like... really, two accounts is too many?

DH was approved for CIU this morning though so I'll just keep my business with Chase lol. I'd like to pick up another card for me at some point soon but not sure what I'd like to get.
The only card I’ve been denied for was AA Citi. All things considered maybe that’s a good thing.

It sounds weird, but you can often check out the seats and spacing and stuff on You Tube. It helped me decide to try Jet Blue Mint a few months ago, since I pretty much knew what it looked like.
I found articles saying Finnair only offers economy comfort right now. They are adding premium economy in late 2020 so we’ll have to wait and see what those look like. We might have to book before we know that though.

Now the question. Is there any way to select seats for BA economy in advance of check in?

I think maybe if you're elite Avios, maybe? I have to say the only way I've not been asked to pay for seat selection was in F (first) since even in J there is a seat selection fee. You might call and ask but having spent 30 min on the phone with BA recently, they are not...um...striving to please the customer in my experience.
