The Good News Is......

One more thought on accelerated refurbs: Several of these projects are underway or contracted, with parts and materials in hand. Why wouldn't you get them done now, especially with a good portion of your work force sitting idle?

We were supposed to be at Food & Wine today... DH discovered that HBO and Cinemax have free previews through tomorrow for AT&T Uverse and DIRECTV subscribers. I believe Verizon is also included.

He has scrolled through to record all the movies that look interesting; we’re watching a recent Melissa McCarthy movie and Westworld returns tonight!

We had planned to go to great wolf lodge on Easter Day for a fun surprise from the bunny, but the new CDC 8 weeks reccomendation along with great wolf offering to spot the deposits to any other date led me to move it. So I’m a bit sad about my easter surprise being delayed, but the good news is our new date was cheaper.

A super good thing.....my kids actually live in a GREAT school district! I have had emails from the middle school teachers working to set things up already (even though technically they don't start 'online learning' until Thursday). My high schooler has things lined up to do already, and her school was handing out Chrome Books and Hot Spots to those who would need them. One of the districts a few cities away has simply said school in cancelled until Spring Break. Period. I'm so grateful for our teachers working so hard to put together great and engaging activities for my kids!

Good news:

Instead of going in June, we've pushed back my visit to September. I was going to attempt a Parkeology challenge, so I have more time to work on my strategies, and will get to add a few rides that I've never done before (namely Rise, and whatever is open in Avengers CAMPUS. Currently deciding on mobile ordering locations so I can grab my food and eat it on the go....

Our 16yo has her drivers license test in 2 weeks... And now her and Hubs have lots of time to go driving in anticipation of the test!

Hubs is available to watch the grandkids so that our adult daughter and son-in-law can take their youngest son to the orthopedist without having to corral the older two.

I still get to go to work! We have a small office (15 of us) with a chunk of space between most of us.

With hubs home for at least the next two weeks, we'll be eating better than normal! He loves to cook, and will have plenty of time to cook now!

Forced Family Fun Time is in full swing.

I'm getting much better with my knitting!

And most of all, my family is safe and healthy! We're missing Disneyland, of course, but health of our fellow Disney peeps and CMs are MUCH more important than our feelings of sadness for what we are missing!

The problem is the returns are handled by trained construction crews and as you have pointed out may already be contracted with certain companies, which means there may still be a limited amount of labor force available to do these. Although I would imagine that they will do as much as they can, just be aware some things may be out of Disney's control.

I’ve been sampling some things on my Amazon Prime account (I’ve had it for ages but only used it for next-day deliveries). So far, ‘plus’ column for Star Trek: Picard 🚀, Carnival Row 🧚, The Boys 🦸‍♂️ and Hanna 👩🏻 and ‘unsure’ for Black Sails ☠ (I’m having trouble finding a likeable character in that one).

Try Umbrella Academy too.

@Sakiki I really liked Carnival Row!
I haven’t reached the end yet - I’m spacing the episodes out, as I see they’ve just pulled the plug on filming season 2 for the present. Hopefully they’ll still be able to get the cast and crew back together again when the current crisis calms down...

Oh NO! Darn you Coronavirus!!! No seriously, safety first.

Hope you're enjoying it. When it first came out I though 'meh', but one evening I was in a goth/fantacy/romance mood so thought I'd try and was hooked right away.

The good news is ... now I have a perfectly good excuse to stay at home and avoid other people. Feels good for this introvert.
I was enjoying it too. Even though I am very outgoing, I love alone time. Unfortunately I have to start distance learning with my Pre-K students in a couple of days. So I will have constant contact with parents and students. Ugh!!!

I am going to make the most of Tuesday and Wednesday before the onslaught.

On a positive note, i.e., good news, I cooked corned beef all day. My house smells delicious. The corned beef was a nice lean cut. The potatoes, carrots, and cabbage came out great. My Irish Mother is smiling down on me from Heaven.
