Well that will help keep you home.
Our governor just came on TV and told us to stay home for the next 2 weeks. All non essential services will have to close within 48 hours. Do you think I can hold out hope that my new vet will still come up this Friday and trim my pig's hoofs? I really hope so but I wouldn't bet on it.
We're having more and more cities issuing "shelter in place" orders too. Waco did today; Bryan/College Station's order goes into effect tomorrow. My cousin's son and his family came from College Station to Brenham today to pick up some extra supplies she had on hand for the next 2 weeks. They're expecting their 3rd daughter in about 6 weeks so they're adamant about sheltering in place. That same cousins' husband is a vet and he's carrying on as usual for now but they're not under shelter in place orders yet either. She said he was going to adjust his practice as required so he could be shutting down too. I would hope your new vet puts off elective services until the 2 weeks ends; for your safety as well as his.
Mass just ordered a "stay at home" too. I kind of wish NH would do that too, the number of cases are already over 100 and one person died.
