I was out front when the mail arrived yesterday. CVS sent my prescription that way. I guess I was expecting a delivery driver, but this worked fine.

And, the driver handed me my mail directly. He had a can of Lysol and gloves and sprayed the package with the Lysol first.

I took it, dropped it on my porch and ran to a sink to wash my hands! I should have had him put it in the box and then got it out with gloves as I have been doing. I 'look' at my mail, but I haven't opened anything as none is off major importance other than yesterday's package of pills. Is anyone else afraid of their mail? I mean cautious in handling the mail?

DH was approved on Monday, February 24th and we received his card on Saturday, February 29th - so his was only 5 days. I did not ask for it to be expedited, I thought about it, but decided just to wait it out.
That’s great he got his so fast! I am not sure what date my DD was approved on because I didn’t call every day to check. The most recent time I called was 3/18 and it said she was approved, so hopefully it will show up soon.

Yes, I Get my mail then leave it on my porch, wash my hands, and open it 24 hours later.

What dates and for which venues are you guessing for Moonlight Magic? I should book some rooms too, because we gave up our annual passes a couple years ago, and these Moonlight Magic events plus Disney Springs get us by.
@Judique I would be interested in the dates you are guessing as well. Gotta to take full advantage of being empty nesters and all those Delta credits we have!

I'm doing 3 -4 days right now but other than my package there's nothing worth opening. I do have fabric samples from Ethan Allan that I want to look at but I can wait.

I really love having a Publix a few miles away. Ran out at 8 to get a few things. No lines, mostly stocked, friendly employees, and all the carts are wiped clean.

They had paper products (napkins, toilet paper, paper towels). I didn't need anything but it was nice to see. It will be gone this morning. Everyone was walking out with two packages (the limit).

DD and I started watching a season of Amazing Race on Prime Video we had never seen. Also took a walk with her yesterday. I feel like I'm starting to get my sweet daughter back. This is a huge answered prayer.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

I received a denial this morning of my UO tickets refund request from Chase via email. I had filled out the online form after the cycle of phone on hold/hangups.
Here was the denial.
"We reviewed your request and advocated on your behalf with Universal Orlando US, but your travel dates and/or destination are not covered by the latest waiver policy issued by Universal Orlando US."

This flies in the face of what UO told me on the phone. They said no money changed hands between Chase and them until I activate the vouchers. Also it states my travel dates/destination are not covered. Uhh...the park is closed during my dates.

My other problem with not being able to talk with anyone is I have no idea of the expiration dates of these tickets. Nothing is on the voucher and UO says they can't help with dates b/c I only have vouchers.
Oy. Ok thanks. I know from other sources they said they'd honor any current tix dated for this spring for a full year...I'm hoping that holds true with ours!

It's raining out and I'm staring at the birdfeeder. Such an exciting life! A few birds have come by and thankfully the greedy squirrel has not arrived yet as he annoys me - drives my birds away.

One of my other hobbies/loves/obsessions is sea turtles. My charity also. Here is the group I follow. They are in Juno Beach, Fl. (I was staying in Jensen) I like to visit this small hospital and I've been there a few times. It is not huge but does good work imho.

Maybe this could be a conservation/biology class for some students? They do a 2pm presentation online M-F.

How long does it usually take to receive CIP in the mail after approval? 2 weeks?

I’ll also chime in to say 1 week has been the norm for me.

Does Publix do tap to pay in your area? They don't at the Reunion area one or at the one in Hilton Head from last week.

I have been taking it out using a paper towel, leaving it in the garage for a day...lots of hand washing ...DH thinks I’m crazy...
We have a lot of cases on LI, our best friends Dad has it, he’s in his 80s and has been on oxygen for a year. They are trying the malaria drug on him.
Our sons friend has it in Naples, FL...he’s the head pro at a big golf course there....he’s having trouble breathing and weak, but they told him not to go to the hospital since he’s 32...
I’m praying for everyone

Aww...it's good that you can report on such normalcy. The other shoe hasn't dropped for you yet and I sincerely hope it doesn't. Don't let this one out to all those NY/NJ visitors Haley's state is getting - they will be heading to Arizona next! Do you have any lakes with nice beaches?
We have lakes. Most people boat and jet ski on them. I don't know about the beaches. Everyone has a pool here. Most of us don't heat our pools though so were a little bit aways from swimming season. I don't think we'll get a huge outbreak here. Not now maybe the next flu season.

Approved on a Saturday. Card arrived 7 business days later, on a Tuesday.
I need a haircut. I channel surfed and caught a stylist on TMZ who was explaining how to cut one's bangs. One of my employee's whose side job was a stylist (or maybe it was his main job lol) showed me that ages ago, and I've done it and ended up with bangs that were angled off to one side. I actually wear it brushed to the sides but it starts with the equivalent of bangs. I wonder how many of us will resort to chopping at our own hair before this is all said and done?
I’ve had bangs my entire life. You made me grateful today that I learned to trim them a long time ago. Some definite mishaps along the way 😆

Got an Ikea email and began shopping for a balcony bench so I guess Costa Del Balconia whatever that means.

I don't have a balcony but I do have a deck and I see this simple 'balcony' bench in the ikea email that might be something I can use. It can be a seat as well as an arbor and other ideas. I was just day dreaming about what I can do with the deck, furniture wise to increase shade without doing some of the bigger things I've done in the past. Such as a 12 x 12 metal framed gazebo and then it rains and water goes everywhere and everything stays wet, or the huge octagonal screen house from Coleman which wasn't waterproof and not really even a sun shade. I've looked at Sunsetter's but they need an area to attach them and my windows and door are in the way. The stand alone one is too bulky and expensive. So I'm settling for umbrellas and a box for cushions. This bench could dress up a corner with some hanging plants and could extend a light string.
