Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Do YC rooms have tubs?
If you want a room with the tub/shower combo, I highly recommend asking for a tub with your room requests. The same holds true, if you prefer the walk-in shower. As a general rule, most King rooms have walk-in showers, while most Queen/Queen rooms have the tub/shower setup. There are rooms, however, that are the exception.

The last time that the YC guest rooms were refurbed, more walk-in showers were added.

I was told the exact opposite when I called to move our Sept reservation from BC. The CM told me I’d have to pay the additional difference if the switch was more money than our BC stay.
I think that if you were booked at BC and wanted to do a big upgrade, like to a suite and GF, then you'd have to pay the difference. They will move you to a comparable room at a different resort at no cost.

That’s when you call back and get a different CM, this one was wrong. Mine explained the whole thing, they had to submit a form explaining the move so while initial amount would look like more (if it was more) it would be corrected once it was processed and I would not have to pay more. She did this for two different rooms for me on two different trips, one for a BWI-YC move, and another for a BC-BCV move (which I later switched to riviera and am paying more, but the initial move was price protected). She said because the move is due to resorts not being open due to Disney it’s price protected, but if we wanted to move just because it wouldn’t be.
This is exactly what I was told and what happened when I moved us from BC to YC. YC ended up being more, but the CM submitted the form and Ijust got the email confirmation yesterday that our new reservation is at the same price.

...and just like that pixiedust: Beach Club changes to Yacht Club! (August 30 - Sept 3). ....4th hotel change. This is getting either fun or silly. Both!
4th change for us too! YC, to CSR, to BC, back to YC!

You should add a line to your signature that has "almost stayed at..." with a list. :duck:
I usually add where we're staying to my signature line but this year I didn't- I wonder if that's why we've had to switch so much? Should I put YC in there now and hope it sticks? I'm almost scared to now...

I booked April 2021 too and hoping it will be open then.

I'd guess the only way they wouldn't be open is if the whole property is closed at that time (which won't be the case). I'm staying in BC in Feb 2021 and not worried at the moment.

Good luck!
Called last night. 20 minutes to get through to a CM. Offered a move to YC water view. Took it. We only had a standard view at BC. She also removed the park hopper option from our tickets.

All is well, except when logging in to MDE last night and this morning, our tickets are not showing up. The reservation is there, as are the park reservations, but not showing our tickets. Should I be worried? Do I give it the day before calling back?

Welp, I was booked at the Poly for the end of Sept with my TA and she told me they are working with Disney to get their guests moved, they are not sure yet but she said it will likely be either CR garden wing or YC. Funny enough considering my last trip was at BC! I would vastly prefer YC over 6 days in all honesty but we'll see what happens. In November it was a bit too cool to take advantage of SAB so a do over would be nice.

I just hope they don't do a one-for-one and put me in Standard since that's what I booked at the Poly. I learned my lesson about BC/YC Standard View on my last trip lol. Though tbh it could have been far worse, since they put me in a corner king room right up against the YC side and I only had the ugly roof view out of one window, the other overlooked SAB and the Boardwalk!

I thought I saw this somewhere but can't find it now. Are the boats to DHS open now from the BC dock?

There were rumors that the Friendships would start running today (July 29) when the Swan opened but I have not seen any posts about guests using them, and Disney has not updated their information to reflect the addition of Friendships to the transportation options.

Transportation
  • Bus transportation is available from this Disney Resort hotel to the Disney theme parks and the Disney Springs area
  • Disney Skyliner aerial gondolas are available to Disney’s Hollywood Studio

Does anyone have any info on the Turret suites? I booked one for July 2021. We have 6 adults in our party. No other suites were available. I’ve heard this suite is smaller then others, not sure if that’s true.

The only other thing I would add is that the access to the YC/BC dock is technically in the "YC NBA bubble" so I'm not sure if the Friendships would even being stopping there when it initially started operating. This is based on the "blue wall" that has been constructed on the path around crescent lake that prohibits access to the YC.

Hello, all! I’m thinking optimistically and planning a trip for October 2021, though I know I can’t book it yet. We are going to try our first Deluxe after many trips at the Moderates. I’m interested in all three of the Epcot resorts. After looking at lots of pictures and videos of the rooms, I had a couple questions. We will probably be trying to book a Standard View, though I might be able to swing a Garden View. We will not be booking Club Level. Anyway, I was wondering about the daybeds. I’ve seen some rooms without them. We won’t need one, but I was wondering if they are in most of the rooms. I also wanted to know if there was a map anywhere that indicated which rooms have the Juliet balconies. I’d rather have a full one if I end up choosing Beach Club. Lastly, which one has the better room views, especially if I book Standard?

Thanks!

I just saw posted that the Friendship boats are not currently opening liked planned for yesterday. No word on when they may be operating again though. let's keep our fingers crossed for by Aug. 24 when YC is supposed to open!

I remember last fall when we had the BC WV CL booked and Disney changed my reservations to the YC WV CL because of renovations to the BC. I ended up with two reservation numbers and parts of my new reservation were not on the new reservation but were still on the old reservation. I called a few times until a cast member was able to figure it out and put everything on one number. I would call if it does not show up in a day or so.

Will do, thanks!
