The 4 Keys to become 5

I think you are confusion inclusion with preferential treatment. No where anywhere has this "preferential treatment" been said about this key. Stop trying to spin this into something it's not

Of course it will. It happens ever day in corporate America hiring. Disney has a limited number of job opportunities. If they want to be more inclusive of define groups, they can't use those opportunities to hire people outside that group. That's just simple math.

of course you are entitled to your opinions, I can just say I don't agree with any of your statements, I see this key as nothing but positive for everybody.

but they would be focusing on groups that are currently under represented ... so yes, if they specifically look to add more from those under-represented groups (because they fele there is added value tot he company by doing so) then it is just reducing the preferential position the majority group currently has

If everything was already even, then your point would be valid, but it isn't

Exactly. Yes, ideally everything should be equal and we shouldn't "see" color, etc. but that's simply not the case. It will never be corrected if nothing is ever changed.

If your physical characteristics were excluded from that group and you were looking to work at Disney, would you honestly still view that as a positive?

Even? The goal was to treat everyone fairly and ignore the superficial, not define them by their superficial characteristics and create a quota system to fill those buckets evenly. Virtuous racism, sexism, etc. is no better than where we were. Just a different form.

You're saying race, religion, sexual orientation , disability or armed forces member are a "superficial characteristic"?

What group? Give me an example

If you are female, and the intentionally left female off that list and explicitly included male. How would you feel? Would you feel that you should be treated as an individual, or that you should be looked at as team female.

or maybe there are groups of people that currently don't feel *as* welcome that will not be more likely to come and tell their friends to come and have a more positive view of Disney and a trip to the parks and opening up a larger customer base (and new customers that feel more positive and want to spend more $ on things)
Like whom? The only group I can think of that aren’t being made to feel welcome at Disney is smokers.

then I invite you to read some of the personal sotries shared in the D.O.C. thread on the DIS Unplugged forum with many people from minority groups who ahve had experiences being mistreated at Disney because of who they are - and just how that fear of that potnetially happening negatively impacts their trip

and from a CM perspective, there was this pretty public story of racist treatment at the DCA Frozen Production: https://www.onstageblog.com/onstage...acist-treatment-backstage-at-disney-park-show
