We must have the luck of the Irish, or something. Our first HS day, we got BG 3, after just boarding Toy Story Mania. T-Mobile, on cell network. I was calling out seconds to my wife in the car behind me, and she was quicker than I was at getting it.

Second, and last, HS day, we were standing in line for Tower of Terror, still on the street, and she pulled BG 1. I had noticed that my cell network time was about 2 seconds slow compared to time.gov, so was counting down to 9:59:58 on both occasions.

As we pulled in to deboard the car in RotR, we noticed one car with plexiglass installed. It didn't look too intrusive, but I didn't get first have experience with it to report further.

It is a good experience, but we all agreed that we enjoyed Smuggler's Run more.

1. Stay on the home page and click ‘Join’ right at 10 or 2. Keep clicking through to boarding pass.

2. Click on join from the homepage and stay on that page and pull down the app to refresh.

Does this sound right? Which is better? I’ve had good success trying again home with option 1 but haven’t tried 2.

We were using method 2. I'll note that I was able to get a BG while practicing using method 2 about 3 days before our actual trip, via some glitch in the system that didn't realize I wasn't in the park.

We used method 1, achieved BG 7 in park, 4 people trying on same account. Probably good to practice both, but stick with one and be really familiar with it for your park day.

Ok, I've been practicing but I have one question about everyone in your group.

During practice when the queue opens it goes to page to select party. In my practice it's just me. Do I need to select all then join now or when we're in the park, everyone in the party that gets into the park will automatically be selected? that extra click takes precious seconds.

Your help is greatly appreciated....We leave in 2 weeks so i'm practicing like crazy.

I finally had a successful practice run today!!! For me, it worked by refreshing the boarding group page.

The button that says Join Virtual Queue on the My Queues page takes you to the exact same page as the Join button on the homepage though, so it's a lot fewer clicks if you just click the join button on the home page.

Did it this way 2x and got BGs on both of our HS days last week.

I use this method and have been "successful" on every single one of my practice attempts over the past month, minus one time where the whole app just hung up too long (because I changed things up and used the "refresh" method).

When you're in the park, the people in the park are supposed to all be checked already (once tapped into the turnstiles). So when practicing, don't take the time to check people's names.

We did this today and got BG 12!

The button that says Join Virtual Queue on the My Queues page takes you to the exact same page as the Join button on the homepage though, so it's a lot fewer clicks if you just click the join button on the home page.

Why do you say its fewer clicks. If you start counting at 10am its the same amount of clicks from either page.

that part is correct, just meant that it's more work to click the 3 lines, and the virtual queue button, then the join virtual queue button, rather than clicking the join button on the homepage, since those 2 paths take you to the same page... 3 clicks compared to 1 click.

I agree with this! I always make sure to do a couple rounds of "joining" before 10 (or 2) because it seems to load just a tad faster after that first time.

Sorry if this has been recently discussed, but I saw on another thread that someone recommended to turn off location services on your phone when attempting to get a boarding group. I've seen turning off wifi, but it was the first time I saw to turn off the locator too. Has anyone else found that to be helpful?

that part is correct, just meant that it's more work to click the 3 lines, and the virtual queue button, then the join virtual queue button, rather than clicking the join button on the homepage, since those 2 paths take you to the same page... 3 clicks compared to 1 click.

But the two "extra" clicks occur ahead of time, not "under the gun." And you don't have to worry about refreshing a page to get an active link. Also, you don't have to scroll down on the home page to "find" the join button.

Any of the methods work, so do what works best for you.
