Halloween remains my favorite holiday and I often say half-jokingly that "It's the only holiday that's never disappointed me." So, in an effort to remind us all of better times, here are a few Halloween pics from the past two or three years. Hope they help to bring a smile to some of your faces. Or better yet, all of them ;-).

Opening the park last year dressed as Sir William J. Wonka.


This was taken in Chicago at the Halloween parade with my then-girlfriend. I dressed as an Oompa Loompa (for obvious reasons ;-)) and she dressed as candy. We had a lot of fun. The Chicago Tribune (one of the two major newspapers in the city) liked our outfits and the following year highlighted them as a cool/fun couples costume.

P.S. I got the results of my C-19 test today and I passed! The test was taken on Tuesday morning. I spent much of the previous night studying for it ;-).

It did and it was! The essay portion was a bit of a challenge especially when I was required to show my work.

Well, sort of. I’ve been off of refined sugar since 1989 (for general health reasons, not because I’m diabetic or anything ). So instead of ice cream, a churro or something equally classically DL, I went for a brief walk in Old Pasadena. I go there often to write and it’s very pretty.

You’re welcome. I’m glad they brought you a little cheer. It’s so easy to get down these days. It happens to me more often than I thought it would when this whole nasty episode began. I like to think that we’re about 2/3 of the way through it, presuming that we get a vaccine in January or February. We all need to help each other to keep hope alive. This *will* end one day, sooner or later.
