Worst movie ever?

You can count me in the vast, vast minority, but my favroite is Lady in the Water. nobody likes that incredibly beautiful movie.

I get ridiculed when I tell folks it's a top 10 movie for me. Giamatti's performance was Oscar worthy and the soundtrack is spectacular.

I agree with a lot of these.

Mine has to be Vanilla Sky

YES! been on my worst list for a long time,
also The Postman
Also agree w Dr t/Women being bad
More recently tht last Rambo movie. I mean the bar was pretty low, and I expected little, and it was even worse than that.

I wouldn't say it's the worst, but I don't like The Patriot. I know a lot of folks do, but it's too silly and a missed opportunity. Only a few good scenes

I know this movie won a ton of awards but I can't sit through Full Metal Jacket. My husband watches it whenever it's on cable and I have to leave the room.

First half amazing, second half aside from torturing you like war would, is not good.

A Christmas Story. Released before Thanksgiving 1983, it did so poorly it was pulled from all but 100 theaters BEFORE Christmas 1983.
In 1997 TNT was looking for a cheap film to run a marathon of over Christmas. They picked A Christmas Story. It went from box office bomb, to cult classic, much like The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In both cases I think abuse of alcohol or other mind altering substances may have played a role in that.

Never understood the appeal of A Christmas Story.

I thought this one got decent reviews for the acting at least? There have been a few horror movies with similar plots since - couple stuck on a chairlift at a ski resort overnight and one that includes a lady stuck in a pool under a cover (maybe that was just a plot device and not the whole premise).

Oddly, HBO is playing it as I type this! :D I haven't seen this since at the movies 17 years ago!

The Fear (1995 b rated horror about a wooden guy named Morty) not Fear w/Marc wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon

oh and Angel Eyes with Jennifer Lopez I literally walked out of the theater 30 min into it.. it’s the one and only time I have just left the movies and gone home super boring.

The Piano
The only movie I ever walked out of.
When he cuts off his wife’s fingers off I was done.

Howard’s End. Sooooooo boooorrrriiinnnggg. The only suspense is when a bookcase falls down ... wow. :rolleyes2

Four of us (family) all went and sat through it thinking the others liked it. Nope! We all suffered needlessly for hours. Now anytime one of us watches a bad movie we say, “is it worse than Howard’s End?” (For the record, no movie has surpassed it yet.)
