We are here right now with a party of 8. One of our party members got in before I was able to, but only for 7 of us. The 8th person was apparently never on on that person's friend and family list. Will there be any way to get the 8th person added once we are in the park? Not sure what to do now. Ugh!

Yes! Once inside the park, visit someone under the blue umbrellas from the 'Guest Experiences Team' and they will add the 8th person for you. Enjoy your day!

If it’s any consolation I was only looking for 1 so no fiddling required in terms of selection. Nada. I think they were gone in 2 seconds this morning.

I’ve failed more often then I’ve succeeded… so I understand your frustration. I called somebody to make sure I had the right people listed on there so I could just hit join join join.
Go to the people with laptops and see if they can help you clean up the excess names in your account before 1.
Also, at the risk of being banned, if you don’t get it, don’t be crushed. It’s not as good a ride as Flight of Passage.

When you are at the resort or parks on the day of your DHS, do you guys use the Disney wifi or do you turn it off? I saw a video that suggested turning it off? I have AT&T so hoping they have a strong signal there. Thanks again!

We got one the first day we were there with 3 of us trying. All 3 of us were preselected so I may have done something way before our trip to make sure all the F&F weren’t showing, I don’t remember.
We failed the 2nd morning, nothing we did wrong-BGs just go so quickly! My husband went back to HS by himself that day and was able to get one at 1PM. The late afternoon ended up being much more bearable than the morning at Hollywood Studios.

You have to run a speed test to see whether wifi or data is faster. We had a room at YC that was very close to a wifi tower and the wifi speed was really fast.

This is my biggest fear in attempting to get a boarding group. My daughter is under three and doesn't have a ticket. I'm nervous it will automatically select her, and in the time wasted to get it sorted, we will miss out. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. It's a really great ride, but there are rides I enjoy more.

I would not stop to check and see if your daughter is/is not selected as this will surely lock you out of getting a BG. Just keep clicking 'Join, Join, Join'.

If she doesn't have a park ticket she should not get a BG but regardless, don't stop to look. It won't do any harm if by chance she is somehow given a BG.

Has anybody ever gotten a boarding group with a larger crowd? My fiancée and I are doing an Epcot wedding right after Christmas and at Hollywood Studios the day before. I'm wondering if it drastically drops our chances if we're trying to get 15-20 people into a boarding group at once.

Well that was stupid! Got up early, followed all the instructions using world clock timing and still missed queue for Resistance! I stupidly assumed it would have all 3 of us on current trip automatically selected. Instead as I panicked and hit “select all,” everyone who had EVER been with me on Disney trip were selected.By the time I tried to deselect and select the right 3, they were gone of course. Sorry but I’m not quick on these apps, so while I suppose I could try again for 1, I don’t see any way I’ll be quick enough to find all 3 names in my group and lock in. It’s just not gonna happen. Should have opted for more sleep. Oh well, guess I can be up now for the long stand by lines since there is no FP any more. Yes, I’m bitter and cranky—sorry!

Just to verify, you all have a park pass reservation for Hollywood Studios today? If so, they should have been preselected. Sorry they weren't. For 1pm, it should select anyone that scanned into the park. I hope you're able to try again and are successful.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the tips. Ive been practicing and have been nervous since i have a kid under 3 in my group that i would need to do the select all then unselect him and that may cost me. Even in practice and doing those steps i have been successful but thats at home with super fast wifi, no telling what will happen in the wild at Disney. Good to see that wont be necessary on the day of the trip.

Ok just tried practicing for the 1:00 and this is what I was afraid of…
I clicked the first two joins and then reached the screen where it wants me to “create my party”. I then selected myself and clicked the third join button and got the screen where it asks if “everyone is here?”

this is where everyone says that means I would have been successful, but I’ve always wondered how anyone knows that. So out of curiosity I did the back button to where I have just myself selected again- waited a few minutes- and clicked join again. I got the same screen asking “is everyone here?” I then immediately backed out and clicked the first join button and it said they were accepting no more reservations today.
I guess what I’m trying to say is I don’t think the screen that asks if everyone is here means I would have gotten a boarding group, because I got that screen even after they were already full. Wondering why anyone does think it means that? I hope I’m wrong but this seems to point towards that just being an automated message for people who don’t actually have a reservation for the park that day…
