Thanks. Now I am thinking about a Thanksgiving trip. I need to stop!Yes we loved it. It was almost empty when we were there. We went off property as well for a couple dinners. I highly recommend it.

Good to know. I printed out the kids apps, but have been dragging feet on doing the photo and getting their dad to go w/ me to file them. I did mine at CVS and it's horrid! So I don't think I can do any worse w/ theirs myself, LOL.The kids' passports came in 3.5 weeks! Glad I didn't pay for expedited.
Did the passport photo booth app that @ski_mom mentioned. It was very easy, but I was paranoid about it lol. Is the background white enough? Is DD's head a little tilted? Did I cut the photos straight enough? It turned out fine. LOL.
Ha! No worries. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being shorted on MRs, LOL. You fancy Plat people, LOL.Oops - no, it was the Amex Plat. Sorry - should have read back further.
OMG, I did a BOA biz checking bonus in June. I COULD NOT get money transferred to them! I ended up having to write a damn check to do it. And then once I had that acct, they no longer allowed me to pay my credit cards w/ my Chase bank account. I will be happy to close that bank account. I need to pick a new bank bonus to do. Hmmmm.I'm chiming in to add....it's true in every way Just got me and DS out of there and switched to another bank...what a hassle! The way they handled pandemic closings etc drove me nuts, their policy and customer service are the pits, and that stupid bonus I was promised never materialized. Good Riddance.
It seems like the only reason for people with good credit being denied is the type of business. Why do I struggle to apply for a dang new card? I mean at this point I know I'm doing a CIC, yet I'm dragging my feet on applying worried I might get denied.
I've heard this, too. I tutor on the side and do some teaching at a correctional facility on the side, I don't know if they'll count that... it's hard to know because your DH's handy man side gig sounds like a common business so I see no reason why he should have been denied! It seems like the only reason for people with good credit being denied is the type of business.
I used to have a side photography business and that's what I've used and haven't been denied. DH was using contractor since he had a handy man side gig, but that was denied twice. I finally gave up on that and used the same photography info I used and he was approved for a Biz card.
Well, the support links have lived on past the public offer before, so all you can do is grab the link and cross your fingers. There's no guarantee of course.so if I generate a link now the I could get my mom in on this on the 10th or 11th? I was bummed she was barely missing it....
I had no problems getting a METRA train from Millenium station to the 55th-56th-57th st station and walking the two blocks to MSI. There are also buses that drop off one block from the museum. The transit system in Chicago is excellent. I took either the subway or bus almost everywhere (exceptions were for my early morning PCR test to come back to Canada, Navy Pier to see the Halloween lights {walked back} and to the Museum of Science and Industry which is not well connected to transit). You can get a transit pass (Ventra) at the airport for however many days that you require and hop on the blue line to your hotel.
Not only is it 10% rather than 10x but it's 10% of base points, not including bonus points for dining, travel or anything else. So if you earn those 10,000 UR exclusively on travel, your bonus would be 500.If only this were true.......sadly, you receive a 10% points bonus at the end of the year, so if you earn 10,000URs on the CSP - you get a bonus 1,000 URs. Thats my understanding anyway.
I've been doing lots of research for our Japan 2023 trip, I know it sounds crazy early but I would need to have miles by July 2022 to book 4 RT Biz class tickets.
The best that I could find is flying JAL via AA, it's 60K AA miles + $50 PP one way. We have 180K AA miles, DH is eligible for Barclay Red so that's an easy 60K, I plan to use those 240K for our flight to Osaka.
I've found 3 possible options for our return flight. I have 120K MRs, but all the URs that we have are going to pay for our 2022 Hawaii trip, so I we don't have any URs available.
JAL via British Airways HND to DFW 92,750 + $142.35 = need 371,000 BA Avios (URs and/or MRs) already have 120,000 MRs, need an additional 251K UR/MR
(could fly to LAX for 15,000 less points).
United HND to ORD 75,000 + 5.60 IF I can get Saver Awards ( I would book Economy then call to waitlist for business saver) = need 235,000 United miles already have 65,000
JAL via Asia Miles HDN to DFW 75,000 + $184 = Need 180,000 MRs already have 120,000 MRs, the fees are super high.
I think Asia Miles is my best option, the fees are higher but we could easily earn 180K MRs between now and July 2022.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
I know we have lots of high school boy moms here. What “dress” shoes and outfits are the boys wearing for homecoming/special events? I am so out of it since mine has to wear an uniform and Sperry’s every day. I have 2 weeks to shop with a DS who hates to shop.
I saw that. I knew that the 60K JAL was too good to last. I'm going still try to use AA to fly to Osaka.Rumored AA deval coming.
I looked at Asia Miles at one point too, can't remember why I stopped. Maybe because their redeposit fee is $120. But we fly out of SFO, so the miles difference between them and BA is not as high as for you.
I mean obv, I have a photo biz too, LOL. I haven't actually done session/clients in 2 years. But I figure if MI still makes me fill out sales tax forms, I'm going to keep using it for credit cards, LOL.It seems like the only reason for people with good credit being denied is the type of business.

Yes, it does. It takes affect as soon as you are approved for the upgrade. Your online account should show a pic of the new card?Last week I accepted an upgrade offer from Skymiles Amex (from blue to gold -- I'd downgraded to blue a few years ago). 40k skymiles for $2k spend in 6 months, no AF for first year. I haven't gotten the card yet. Anyone know if I use the blue card I have if that spend goes toward the $2k? We head out on vacation on Saturday, so could use it on the trip, but would rather use my CSR if the spending won't count.

I wasn't able to find more than 2 business tickets on BA, which is why that's my 3rd option. We would need to split up and fly into different airports.
Thanks for posting all the SW CP information.Technically you don’t. You can actually now apply for Chase business cards on back to back days in a sort of modified double dip or even on the same day as a regular double dip and either way they’ll likely combine hard pulls then. As long as you’re applying for 2 different Chase business cards this should work.
