Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Cast Costumes Created From Sustainable Materials​

Inspired by the life-giving waters of the fictional planet Xandar, the Cast Member costumes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind were created with sustainability in mind.

The Cast Members are dressed in blue and red Nova Corps uniforms. 70% of each uniform’s base fabric is made from recycled materials.

The metal buttons on the shoulders are made from 75% recycled metal. The three-armed star insignia, which designates the rank of Denarian, is made from 95% recycled PVC. The lightweight uniforms also have vents so they are more comfortable in the Florida climate.

Disney has just announced that Connections Cafe & Eatery will offically open April 27th at EPCOT, but that there may be soft opening opportunities over the next few days. Here’s the announcement:

Disney California Adventure Considering Offering Child Day Care Services During Food & Wine Festival​

A recent survey sent out to guests who attended the 2022 Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure indicates that Disney is considering offering child care services. Given the nature of the festival, some of the activities are intended for a more adult audience, such as the Carthay Circle Winemaker Receptions and Wine, Beer, and Mixology Education & Tasting Seminars.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Pool Adds Net and ‘No Climbing’ Sign After Child Was Rescued From Decorative Pyramid​

Following a video of a child being rescued from the top of the pyramid near the Dig Site Pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the feature now has a net and a “no climbing” sign.

The net covers the lower branches to hopefully impede someone from climbing them.

Good Morning and Happy Friday Everyone!!

I think we’ve all waited long enough. Hugging the characters - yeah it’s finally returned, but we’re still not satisfied! So I’m here to call on the News Gods! There are 5 restaurants still without characters, and 1 that has not yet reopened. There has to be something you can do!! Please accept this dance offering, as we beg for your help! Please bring back character dining in these restaurants ASAP! Let’s get right to it!


Going to any of these restaurants with no character interaction is well, quite frankly, a snooze fest!




With all the cash we’re dropping to dine at these establishments, characters should come to our tables and serve us our food!!




We should be able to walk into the restaurant and Snow White is so excited to see us, she has a physical reaction!




We should be able to sit down and use -whatever this is - to eat our meals as we interact with a multitude of characters. I don’t think that’s too much to ask!




So with that, I’m begging you, News Gods, to use all your powers for 1900 Park Fare to reopen - with characters!!




I want Akershus and Trattoria’s Princesses to greet us as we walk in the door and check on us, several times during the course of our meal, to make sure our dinner is ok…




I want us to be able to walk down Main Street USA and smell all the wonderful scents from Crystal Palace and then walk in to find Pooh standing there, arms wide open, waiting for us to walk in…




And at Ohana and Cape May Cafe, I want the characters to dance for us on demand!!!




Please News Gods, we’ve been through enough the past year! I’m not ashamed to beg for your help… or throw out this wicked cool dance move, to help my plea!




Because at the end of the day, it’s not just an excuse to get all dolled up to go out to eat, it’s the experience of meeting with all of these wonderful characters we have all grown to love so much!!!

Disney Wish Completes Second Round of Sea Trials – April 15 – 20, 2022

Last week, the Disney Wish set off on her second sea trial from Eemshaven where she was docked for a few days following the completion of the her first sea trials.

The Disney Wish second open water test departed Eemshaven on Friday April 15th with a reported destination as DISNEY LAND and updated to DISNEYLAND SEATRIAL. Little did we know at the onset, the team on the bridge would be having a bit of fun with the destination naming and this was just the beginning.

Over the weekend, the destination was changed to HAPPY EASTER which resulted in a little bit of themed navigation on Easter Sunday.

Later in the voyage, the Disney Wish underwent a SPEEDTEST. During this period of the sea trials, the Disney Wish reported a maximum speed of 23.5 knots on April 18th via AIS data which was logged by MarineTraffic.com.

In addition to a new script, the show will feature new scenic set pieces and a new LED video wall designed to visually extend the world created by the physical sets on stage. New pieces include a 32-foot-long sunken submarine and a fish tank volcano standing nearly 15 feet tall. Opening Summer 2022!

I think I will like this better as it's not as long. Seems like they are just concentrating on the musical numbers. Seems like a good revision.

So I'm going out on a limb to think it won't be reopened in time for our trip next week. Normally, I wouldn't care too much but we've yet to do this and I've been a DVC member for a long time and just stayed at BLT this past December. I'm sure they're shooting for the summer.
