***Official September 2022 Thread***

Ack! It’s 34 days to go for me and I’m second guessing everything. Starting to wish I had put a rest day in the middle instead of the end, but it’s probably too late to get ADRs if I change anything.
Going to need low crowds to make my plan work because no one is going to want to wake up and be in the parks before 10-11 he last few days lol.

Ok, after all the trouble getting ADRs earlier this week, I have finally managed to adjust everything to times we want! So our schedule is now finalized (I think...)

Here's the final draft:
Sept 23rd - Arrive (fingers and toes crossed our flights are on time!), Epcot F&W booths for lunch and dinner.
Sept 24th - Epcot in the morning, F&W booths for lunch. Midday pool break, then HS in the evening, Docking Bay 7 for dinner.
Sept 25th - MK in the morning. Pool break. MK afternoon, dinner Skippers Canteen, MNSSHP.
Sept 26th - Sleep in! Epcot F&W booths for lunch, pool break, Savor the Savanna, then Epcot EEH.
Sept 27th - AK, Tiffins lunch, then HS, MK, and Epcot (first attempt at 4 parks in one day!)
Sept 28th - Epcot, F&W booths for lunch, pool break, Rose and Crown dinner.
Sept 29th - AK, Nomad lunch, Pool break, Dinner Steakhouse 71 then MNSSHP
Sept 30th - Cabana day! Maybe mini golf at night.
Oct 1st - Epcot, F&W booths for lunch, pool break, Rose and Crown fireworks package, DIS after party!
Oct 2nd - go home :(

Nothing like a good reshuffle of plans lol I end up doing that at least once. I totally get the later mornings towards the end, as the kids get older they definitely end up wanting to sleep a bit in vacation.

I always say there's two kinds of going away. There's vacations and there's trips.

A vacation is when you can sleep in, just chill, maybe do some activities, but for the most part recharge and relax.

A trip is when you're having an experience. You're on the go and seeing and doing.

Disney is a trip. There isn't really true down time. Even rest days are more like recovery days. It's not for someone who wants to relax that's for sure.

I'm actually now going Sept 15-19 and have switched to All Star Music, saved me $400 since I was paying regular rate at POP. I initially was on the Disney+ promo at POP but added a night and they didn't have availability to add the one night so booked regular rate, yesterday All Star Music came up with availability for the Disney+ promo so switched to save the money.

We got our ADRs and ended up adding a couple of extra days. The flights were cheaper on Friday, so we decided to add some days.

September 23-October 1st

September 23-25: Offsite
September 25-October 1st: AKL-Kidani

September 24: Seaworld
September 26: DHS/Epcot
September 28: Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom (Moonlight Magic)
September 29: Animal Kingdom (For the Shows)
September 30: Mickey’s Not So Scary

For our ADRs we got Chefs de France and Cinderella’s Royal Table. We’re planning on spending a lot of time at the resort and we’re going to check out the water park. If we have time we might go to Gatorland to see what that’s all about.
Yaaahhhh for you. Love those extra days in Florida and Disney!!!! I changed our CountDown List. pixiedust:

For Beaches and Cream, I had to split the reservation into one for 4 and one for 2, but they're both at the exact same time. It worked perfectly even though it was only a couple days into the trip! Ideally I'd have it for an hour earlier, but it's one spot we have never been able to try, so we will make it work!
I should have thought of that- will try for a 4 and 3 ressie. Thanks! Hope you love it like us.

Nice!!! Saving $$ is so good and especially at Disney World. Congrats. I will change our CountDown List.:smickey:

I know what you mean. My plan all along has been park open to close 4 days in a row, but I'm not sure how our stamina will hold up. Mornings will be where we have to be flexible also.

I’m hoping G+ and lower crowds make a reasonable later morning schedule still nice. I agree that Disney is a trip… but no matter how you much tell a first timer that do they really understand what you mean? The only really tricky thing is we have extended evening hours Wed at MK and then have HS planned the next day… not everyone is going to want the thrill rides but at least a few of us will want to rope drop to knock out ToT and RnR. I wish I had put the rest day there instead. Just going to have to trust the adults to make their own choices I guess. The control freak planner in me that wants everyone to have the best time doesn’t like that feeling though…

I bet it will all work out fine! :thumbsup2 Sometimes I just have to tell myself to trust my original train of thought. :goodvibes

Got our park tickets and made our park reservations! MK was filling up on party days, apparently due to reduced staffing on those days for the anticipated lower crowd levels, but luckily reservations were still available for the final week of August. Hoping this means it will be nice and quiet in the parks that week. 28 days to go!!

But POP has the skyliner :(

Oh I know, it’s my favourite resort however we went to Disney for a couple days and a cruise last week and spent more then intended so saving the $400 for a short trip just made sense to me. I do keep checking to see if rooms open up under the promo, or hopefully a new one releases, and if it does I will be moving right back to POP immediately.

I hear you! I just can't give up the Skyliner. To me, it's worth it. I can just hop over to two parks so easily. But....understandable that you went for a better deal under the circumstances. I hope rooms open up for you. If not, you'll have a great time no matter where you stay! :flower:
