September 18th, 2022: 12-Night Westbound Transatlantic from Dover to NY (Le Havre, Plymouth, Vigo, King’s Wharf)

Not sure if this applies to anyone here but someone on social media just posted this email they received. I am also posting on general cruise thread.

I did not realize the 90 day letter was not good for Bermuda cruises. From Know before you go on DCL website. Doesn't affect us anyways.

As of this morning I still have not received the email approval for the Bermuda Travel Authorisation for the September 18 Transatlantic sailing. Has anyone else had this experience, and you know if they send it out closer to the sailing date?

I haven’t received my approval from Bermuda TA either.
I called their toll free number and they told me it would be this Sunday. It's sent out by an automated system. Said to call back Monday afternoon if we don't hear anything.

We called earlier (Monday) this week and we were told they won’t look at them till this coming Sunday (9-11). They did ask for our application number to verify we sent all the correct information and we did, do now we sit back and wait.

I just got my e-mail with the clear to sail from DCL. The links to the 'know before you go' pages for European sailings still mention you can have a 90 day recovery certificate.

Other thing to consider, if her majesty passes away today, or in the coming days. Her funeral will be 10 days later. The days leading up to it will be very busy in London as press from all over the world, (royal) funeral guests, tourists will flock to the capital.

It could influence the strike on the 17th as well, depending on how things develop.

As for the strike on the 17th, I just found this on Reuters

- Three British trade unions representing postal workers and transport staff said they would suspend their scheduled strikesfollowing the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Sitting in the terminal preparing to board (the TA is the second half of our B2B) and have been SHOCKED at how smooth this process has been. Hands down the easiest in six cruises.

Very nice :)

Just a quick question, did you submit your tests to sail screen through an online test or did you visit a place in London to do it?

We are going to be on the TA and plan on visiting London a few days prior and want to know if you know of any places to take the antigen test, if that’s what you did.

Just received Bermuda Travel Authorization. Don’t forget to initial it.

We didn’t have to test for this cruise because we were on the 90 exemption letters. But we’re anticipating having to for the TA.

New hoop to jump through for the transatlantic. Bermuda now wants: a test before the cruise AND on the cruise, regardless if you go ashore in Bermuda.

DCL has sent a new e-mail.
