Check the exchange rate they are offering on the transfer, we’re with Lloyds & NatWest and it was poor (apparently most Uk banks gain fee’s through poor exchange rates). Check out Wise, we saved over £200 on each contract payment, just remember to change the payment type from ACH to WIRE, that’s the important part. Just send me a message if you need any help!
I might take you up on that if that’s okay 😂❤️

YAYYYYY!!!! 😍😍
Hilariously we have a trip booked in April at Pop Century! We’ll be looking longingly whenever we pass the boardwalk on the skyliner 😂
But our first trip using our points will be Aug 2024!

How about you?! ❤️
Similar boat…We go on March 9th but split staying Pop and AKL on my brothers cast member cash rates 😅 First proper trip on points will be July 2024 for us!

Wow! The lower prices, the timelines for ROFR, and (almost) nothing getting taken!

All you current buyers are going to get spoiled. I remember the days when a good price for BLT was $160 and VGF $180. Also wasn't uncommon to wait 30+ days for a ROFR decision and certain resorts were getting snatched up by DVC. We lost several contracts before finally getting some.

Enjoy it while it lasts and happy for you.

Sadly, there is No way to know who is motivated until you send that email, or press that make an offer button. You might be pleasantly surprised after a few tries ;)
So true. Give a firm bid that you know you won't go above. The agent will present it and the seller will come back with a yes or no. This takes away the stress of going through negotiations. You either have it or you don't. Good luck bidding!:-)

Based on last months data, the only contracts that were ROFR’d were Copper Creek. I think DVC will keep seizing them as they occupy an important place as a resort in between VGF/Poly and RIV
Copper Creek ones are passing too. I have seen some people on this board post about theirs passing. The only Copper Creek ones I saw that didn't pass were early in January. I think that was before ROFR was letting most things thru. I would definitely try for Copper Creek contracts right now. Good Luck!

Are you able to say what sites you set your notifications for? I have started to look for contracts recently and it would be really convenient to have notifications for things that would meet my needs to come my way. Did you have to sign up with a broker to get them? Thank you.
If you go to the App Store and type in DVC you’ll see a couple. The sponsor of this site has one.

I’ve noticed a large amount of “relisted” contracts coming through lately. I can’t figure out if they are people lowering their sell prices and relisting because a 60 day old 150 pt contract at (name your resort at 2020 prices) doesn’t look super compelling to buyers or if one party is changing their mind and actually backing out of an agreement before signing. Any thoughts?
From the number of complaints on here, I'm willing to bet some are Buyers backing out, but some are Sellers backing out after doing the math to sell? A lot of frustrated Buyers here where the Seller verbally agreed (not binding) and the paperwork never came thru. Also, unless you have a contract number - it's rather hard to tell if someone is listing their two 100 point contracts (for example) one at a time to avoid competing with themselves. I know one Seller (in their 80s) who listed all 10 or 12 of theirs (mostly matching) one at a time - they are still making a profit based on when they bought btw lol.

PSA: Suggesting people Google things or hints to find sites one knows are blocked is against the board rules.

If you want to direct people to something, post the link…if it’s blocked, the filter did its job and the other posters know it’s not allowed.

Remember, board rules require the links to any business or resource you want to discuss…without that, you risk warnings and infraction points.

I have deleted a few posts today doing this.

To most people and usually in every day life ,there is a big difference between discussing something and saying Google it. The board maybe should use a another term instead of discuss.

I have heard weird things about First American and Hawaii tile recordation. They're the biggest title insurance company in the US by a large margin, yet they are only like the 3rd or 4th largest in the Islands. I had also heard they they shop out work to other local agencies as well. All just rumor mill stuff of course.
We discovered that Fidelity caused the delay. They waited two weeks to alert First American that we had passed ROFR. I'm considering asking for our "agency fee" to be returned.

True but when someone says I can’t share because it’s blocked but Google XYZ it’s because they are trying to share a way to find something they know can’t be talked about.

Best to do is list a link to a resource. So, if someone else says “Is there a site that does this?”, then the response is the website link, not “ well there is but we can’t list it so Google the word instead”.

The board rules are pretty straightforward in that links is the way to go when discussing/ sharing or guiding to another site or business. and when one does, there is no risk of being violation.
