Hi everyone! My boss is going to London this summer and asked me what the best Harry Potter tour is. She thought that since I was a part of so many groups that I might know... I don't! Any advice you have would be so great. Thank you in advance!

Just outside of London is the Warner Brothers Studio tour which is very cool. Lots of sets and props. There are also several walking tours

Thank you! She was leaning towards the WB Studio tour. It looks like it gets a lot of rave reviews. Glad to hear you thought it was cool! I'm so jealous of her trip. :)

There was (in 2007) a tour that I took at Christ Church College in Oxford. http://www.chch.ox.ac.uk/plan-your-visit/talks-and-tours
We did this tour more for the Alice in Wonderland connection with Lewis Carroll. (He was a math professor there and was obsessed with the Dean's daughter Alice and wrote those books for her). That was the focus of our private tour which was AWESOME! It was just 3 of us and maybe cost 75 pounds for all three of us with a private tour guide. I didn't realize until we got there that there are many HP references and much of the movie sets were themed based upon areas at Christ Church College. A lot of time has passed but that tour may have been my favorite part of that whole trip to England.

Yeh I really enjoyed it. The introduction to the tour is incredible. I'm sure your boss will enjoy it.

She might also try the MinaLima shop which is round the corner from the Palace Theatre where the Harry Potter play is on. MinaLima are the graphics team behind much of the films set details and the shop is a 4 storey immersive experience. I'm heAding there on Tuesday so I can let you know but it's amazing apparently

That sounds fascinating! I will let her know and she can look into it. I wish I was going. There are so many great things to see and do but I don't like flying! Kind of hard to get over there from the US if I don't want to get in a plane!

Thank you! I will have to let her know. I keep forgetting that the play just opened up too there. I will have to let her know.

The WB Studio tour is amazing! We spent a whole day there and could easily spent more time, there was so much to see!

Thank you! That's the one she's decided on. I told her to make sure to get her tickets now and for an early time so she can have as much time as she needs. :)

Make sure she rents an audio guide. It was narrated by Tom Felton and worth every penny for what it adds to the experience with stories and info about the filming. I think I must have listened to every optional track on it.

We've been twice and each time spent about 4 hours doing the tour. If she gets there fairly early it's worth visiting the shop before the tour as it gets a bit crazy once visitors finish their tours in there.

Just back from the Studio Tour last week and it was amazing!!! We spent around 7 hours there and it was so much better than I thought it would be.

This is just one of my many video clips....

Don't bother with the ones that take you around the filming and inspiration locations in London. You can do that yourself for free. The WB tour is the way to go!
