Nice to open Facebook this morning and see our hometown hero and Denver Bronco, Emanuael Sanders, thinking about high school football in Texas too this Friday morning.
He posted one of his "video memories" of the Pasture of Pain for us to see again. 
The Brahmas are ranked 7th in our State Division but starting the season tonight against the State Champion in the other 4A division 
. Win or loose...will be nice to see all our friends again seated around Row O; Seats 26 & 27
...been in that same spot on Friday nights since 1994. 
Even better is hearing Redstorm "talk high school" and see her wearing her game day shirt to school! 
Back to regular programming...

It's a small town way of life ... and I've always been a HUGE football fan. Just "icing on the cake" when Redstorm is involved in the same high school sports her Pappy/Mom/Dad/cousins participated in.

DH just got home from his LAST full day of work! 
A couple more half days but he's as close to be "done" as he can get. 
On his drive home, he met 5 charter buses followed by 3 motorhomes and numerous cars with Katy Tiger flags flying on their way to their first football game of the season in Austin. 
State Champions last year and a LARGE school district but FIVE charter buses! Checking out until later this evening...and grabbing the rain gear 
...looks like we may have a wet beginning to the football season....

I'll pass it on to him! He's Happy
...first thing he said when he walked in the door was, "Thank God...I NEVER have to sit in that cramped road grader again!" His knees were killing him this evening! He has to go back in next week to teach one of the guys how to do payroll and for his employee retirement lunch on Tuesday and then it's OFFICIAL!

No rain ; thank goodness 'cause it would have been HARD 
to sit through the entire game in the rain. Those guys were GOOD 
...back to the drawing board for Coach Grady this week after coming out on the low end of a 33-10 score. Like DD said..."Well...guess Jen (his wife) will have plenty to walk with me this week". So good to see all our old friends again and visit during the game; band and dance team looked/sounded AWESOME for first performances of the season and football team had some highlights...just not enough. Freshman volleyball still on a roll though; some good competition tonight...for the first time this year. They won in 2 games with something like 25-20 and 25-21 scores. Unbeaten so far this season

I'm beginning to think my sister's kids don't want me to attend their weddings! Big announcement tonight ... niece is getting married ... in Big Sky, Montana ... in DECEMBER 
... and NOW she tells us after DH and I book our DW trip! Nephew did the same thing...announced he was getting married in DISNEY WORLD the week AFTER we returned from a trip there! Now how in the hell do I decide between spending vacation money on my niece's destination wedding or Disney World? 
I told my sister tonight I love Kate dearly...BUT...I'm picking Disney World!
