I did a search but couldn't get any results. Is it possible to substitute either the vegetarian chili or the clam chowder for dessert at CHH?

Both are listed as snack credits, so in theory, you should be able to.

However, keep in mind that Disney's fine print in the DDP brochure allows them to change the rules at any time.

Thanks. I tried to do just that last September and was told that soup was an entree and so did not qualify for substitutions. I can't recall if the snack credit symbol was present, though. I'll try it again next time, desserts are so limited and blah at CHH, just that seasonal cobbler, yogurt, and pre-packaged chocolate cake. I'm also going to try to sub a side, such as fries or steamed broccoli, for the drink. According to the 2016 brochure I should be able to do so.

We were able to substitute the chili for one of our desserts last week. The chili plus half of my fries was enough for lunch for my 15 year old daughter.

Great. Thank you. DH always get the broccoli peppercorn salad and I usually get the fried shrimp, it'd be terrific to have clam chowder for me and the chili for him rather than the dessert.

Hello, I just returned from our trip to WDW. When had lunch at Columbia Harbor House and we were able to substitution dessert with the vegetarian chili and clam chowder. I did not order an entree but instead had a vegetarian chili and broccoli, and it was enough for me while the rest of my family ordered entrees. Don't get the shrimp platter, it wasn't great, a bit dry. the tuna sandwich was good and so was the. Chicken pot pie
