This weekend we are going (Kid Free!!!) to the Food and Wine festival to celebrate my Birthday! Saturday night were thinking about going to Jelly Rolls! Since were staying at the Swan & Dolphin it looks close and fun! Anyone ever been? What are your thoughts? Do you need reservations??

interested to hear what people have to say

Jellyrolls is a bar, not a restaurant, and they don't take reservations. The dueling piano entertainment there is fun to watch, and you can sing along if you like. I enjoy this place.

I know it's a bar. That's why were excited! haha. I hear that it is a lot like Howl at the moon. But I know at Howl at the moon you can reserve tables.

I've been to Howl at the Moon and Jellyrolls. They are very similar.

I was at Jellyrolls last Friday night. It was fun, there was a $12 cover charge, we were there for about 2 hours and I would say we stood for about 90 minutes of it... no chairs/tables available. We were fine with it, but it was definitely loud, lively and full of people (many of whom I think were CMs, DCPs and folks from the Swan/Dolphin attending a conference.)

The ability to get a table depends on when you arrive. Things really don't get cranking until past 9,-9:30. If you get there before that, you should be able to get a seat. But it does get crowded on weekend nights! It is a 'cleaned up' version of Howl At the Moon...at least that's what I've been told. It's not as 'adult'...probably has something to do with being on Disney property.
My dd, now almost 23, had been dying to go there, but was always too young. But...a few weeks ago, the night before she started as a DCP CM, we went...a mother-daughter outing! It was a Monday night, so not very crowded. We got there around 8:30 (she had an early check in the next morning!!), and left by 10. By the time we left, it was starting to get busy! Much more rowdy!!!!

Outstanding! Yes Howl at the Moon can get a little "questionable" with their content hahaha. But that's subjective to who you ask I suppose haha. I am super excited about going to JellyRolls Saturday! Thanks so much for all the info everyone!

We love Jellyrolls!! There's a cover and drink prices can be steep but it so much fun!! We always get there early to get a table. I have been to dueling piano bars in NY, Cali, Universal's City Walk, and Howl at the Moon- Jellyrolls blows them all out of the water. The later & busier it is, the better the show, but if you want to sit, get there about 8ish and enjoy the free popcorn. The last two times we went, someone proposed and the other time there was an entire wedding party! We'll be going Halloween night for their Halloween party.

Does anyone know if they get pretty crowded/lively on Sunday nights? We will be down there for Marathon weekend, and since we will be getting up super early (around 2 am) each day to get ready to race, the only night we can really "go out" is Sunday night, after the final race.
If it's pretty "dead" on Sundays, it won't be as much fun. So I'd actually PREFER super crowded, no tables available so it's a more fun, lively experience! Will we get that on a Sunday night?

I've never been on a night that it felt dead. Having said that, it's really hard to know. Thursdays are usually a big one & then of course Friday & Saturday. Since you're at WDW you'd be surprised how lively it can get on random weeknights too. I was there when a whole bunch of people were there on a conference over at Swan & Dolphin & practically took the place over- it was a riot! Also, another night a wedding party & a large chunk of guests, as there are weddings every day of the week at WDW. So it's really hard to tell but it's a fun time regardless. I find time of night is more important than day of the week. I'd go around 8pm to get a table & get to see a lively crowd a bit later. You can always go in and out if it's a little dead. Head over to AbracadaBar or get a bite to eat, shop, etc. and then head back in. I definitely wouldn't skip it.

Omg...if I got a penny for every time we walked by Jellyrolls I'd be a millionaire as each time it looked dead from the door as we never really walked in. My wife and I always said we wanted to try it but never did. I have business in PSL at the end of the month with a friend and then was going to take a ride up to Disney for a long weekend stay due to food & wine. I guess it will give me a chance to finally try Jellyrolls....how is it for Halloween are costumes mandatory?

Costumes for Halloween are optional.

Agree with MissMet that Jellyrolls gets busy every night right after Illuminations ends.

I can't say enough good stuff about Jellyrolls! Everyone should give it a try at least once. The piano players are amazing and it's always a fun time. Bring some cash to use for tips and to put with your song requests. Oh, and if Scotty is playing request Rainbow Connection for his awesome Kermit impression.
