Luau reservations and pricing

I wonder how the setup is going to be. Are they going to be putting up tables on the lawn and taking them down every time there is a show?

Good point! I have never been there, but I can imagine that would be inefficient. I am sure they will do a nice job- Disney is amazing at that!!

It's a little more than what we paid over the summer for the Fia Fia at the Marriott, but I like it being on location and exclusive to Aulani guests. Thanks for the info!

Well all booked
So excited
Luau is on wed and sat only at moment
Starts 2 November
So happy .... First customer to book :)
VIP seating was offered traditional low seating or table seating

Pay extra for VIP seating then "arrive early for best seating??" Let's hope that blurb really applies to general seating instead :( Still bummed that something that was free when I booked is now bundled with food so that it costs me an additional $400+ minimum. Sorry, venting.

ETA thanks OP for letting us know it's now posted.

Did anyone get an email confirmation? I haven't yet (booked EOD yesterday)I'm going to cancel some other dining reservations but wanna make sure first. Thanks for the link and info!

Have not received my email either but they said would send
Got him to repeat my address
Plus got his name
Will let you know when I do :)
I just want to know it's not the same as star luit with food

Thanks for the heads up! Just tried to book for my December vacation but they said they are only booking 60 days in advance. im hoping they have a special Christmas Eve Luau :)

So, is this a traditional Luau or will there be Disney characters also? Planning a trip in March and I've done enough traditional Luaus and would like something more Disney.

page was updated! good luck!
We are actually really bummed that Starlit Hui is not going to be there- we are headed to Aulani for our daughter's make-a-wish trip and her wish was to be a hula dancer. We cannot do the luau, but we were able to get the keiki hula at Aunty's. Let's hope it is awesome for her!
Check the daily iwa, b/c there were family hula sessions scheduled when we were there! they were on the Ewa lawn. Extra hula dancing for your daughter! :)

Before we knew this was going to happen (Paid luau replacing free Starlit Hui) we booked a luau for our island hop on the Big Island at the Royal Kona Resort. It comes with the Voyagers of the Pacific oceanfront luau, shell lei, hula lessons, full buffet dinner, and alcoholic beverages for $68 a head (first week of December). We got a 15% discount off the regular price because we are staying at the Royal Kona resort that night. This luau has some pretty good ratings on TripAdvisor and other review sites, and is way under the Aulani luau pricing (with no alcoholic beverages unless you pay the VIP upcharge). I'd have some pretty high expectations for paying that much and not even getting a boat drink for it! Will be interested to see the first reviews.
