Help with Anaheim/San Diego accommodation

Hi

Coming to the west coast for the first time but having problems finding hotels to stay in. The plan is to stay at Anaheim for a week and do Disney/beach trips etc. Then down to San Diego for 5 days.

There are 6 of us which is hard enough to find a room for all of us, so also looking at interconnecting rooms. For Anaheim, we are thinking of renting a villa/home - is this a good option in Anaheim? Looking at some nice hotels in SD but a lot of them welcome dogs. I am very allergic and can't stay in a room that has had pet hair in it. Are all hotels like this? I've tried contacting some to see if they have pet specific rooms but they don't get back to me!

I'm going round in circles as there's so many options!

OP some hotels that have pet friendly rooms but they require an extra fee for the cleanup so the next guest isn't affected (seen this on the Hilton website). Have you called the hotels or just emailed?
If you have 6 people look for a hotel that has suite rooms . If you go the 2 rooms route don't count on connecting as usually it is a request not a guarantee .

I have rented a condo in San Diego for our family of 6. Much better layout for a larger group, plus you can probably be really specific with individual owners about whether they've allowed pets at any time.

For Disneyland, we've always had connecting rooms nearby. If I were staying a whole week, I'd think about a rental home/condo a little farther away with some of those same advantages I listed above.

Even if the hotel doesn't allow pets (they would still have to allow service dogs), the previous guest can bring in a lot of pet hair on their clothes and luggage. Call the hotels and ask about their cleaning policies and if they'll offer a deep cleaning. Where are you looking and what's your budget? I find it hard to believe that you can't find a hotel with 2 available rooms in hotel circle or downtown, where there are dozens of hotels.
