Disney Gift Card Deals

I had no issue using my Amex gift cards at Kroger to buy visa gift cards. I did have to give my dl after each one. Also did a dry run of buying a gift card with a gift card in self checkout at target. Tomorrow I will buy one and if the transaction works I will go to Kroger and convert my visa gift cards so I can buy a few more.

I buy 1 gc for $100 and pay with Amex that's $100. So it's a 1:1 transaction.

Why not just use the visa gc at Target? Unless you are trying to get more fuel points at Kroger then it makes sense. We can only use about $3.00 worth of gas credit a month so I bought visa cards to use at other places where I can max my benefits (Meijer is offering $5 back on every $50 purchase in the way of clipped coupons to use on groceries and Target has the 10% off sale tomorrow). I plan to use my visa gc in those places so then I got fuel and groceries or discounts which will net me about a 20% return in one way or another.

I do it in one transaction with no problem. I only like to do one gift card transaction per day at Kroger.

Do you go through self checkout? You use multiple visa or amex gc to pay in one order? Any issues or tips for that?

I avoid self checkout when I pay with gift cards only because it seems easier to go through a regular line. For the Amex gift cards I have to give them my license after each one and for the visa ones I just use the pin that comes with it. Never had an issue.

2 questions....

Has anyone had luck with the Kroger activation fees working on their own in the last few days? Or just troubles?

For those combining target gift cards for tomorrow, if you have e gift cards do you just take a print out to customer service? I'd like to combine a big egiftcard with a few small physical cards

I scan them at self check out from my phone but you could do it at a regular line or Customer service.

You do it to combine target gift cards into a bigger gift card? Can you do odd amounts or are you stuck with $50, $100, etc?

You can do an odd amount. You pick up a card and put in the specific amount. Then you pay for it by hitting pay with gift card, scan the gift card, repeat. I bought one today with four smaller ones.

I haven't had any trouble with the Kroger activation fees being automatically deducted. I did two last month without trouble and so far two from the current offer. Plan to do another tomorrow.

I only had problems with the $100 Amex and the $25 Amex on Wednesday. They manually took it off so I still have those coupons. I'm tempted to try again

Details for discounted Target gift cards tomorrow below. We have 13 family members that are going to Disney in April and we're each purchasing $300 tomorrow. I'm very scared about not being able to purchase Disney with or almost $4,000 in TGC. I know we can't online but what about the store?

If you all go to separate registers, or even better separate stores, should be no problem. If you are all going online and purchasing separately at Target. com, should not be a problem either.
If one or two of you are trying to buy all the cards for the trip, as you said, you NEED to go to stores, since the website will restrict you to one purchase per account. Be discreet and go to different registers at different times of day, try to use different credit cards, and try to go to different stores. Go early, so the store doesn't run out of cards. Good luck!

I also had problems with the $25 and $100 Am Ex fees at Kroger ($50 came off fine). She called someone over and they manually input it. I think before I go to Target tomorrow I'll stop at Meijer and switch those for Target. Thankfully my Meijer and Target are opposite corners of each other.
