That's why I don't undertand why servers still do things like that. I don't think it's that common for the guy to always pay anymore. We take turns at home and usually use my card on vacation so we can each pay it later. Next time this happens I may have to say something. We had a lady at Las Ventanas last vacation that only looked at and talked to him. She asked me a question about his meal once when he went to the bathroom, but it seemed like she really really didn't want to

We weren't impressed by any of those 2 restaurants at Portofino. We aren't the biggest Italian food fans.....except in Italy of course. But it all tasted too processed for us..........
We do however enjoy Sal's pizza at PBH.
Shame you didn't enjoy The Mummy.......it's such a fabulous ride, but if it makes you feel woozy, it's not worth doing again. Such a shame.
We've done the MIB little tour many times........they really don't mind you asking to do it if it's reasonably quiet and if they can have you do it, they will.
you mentioned the immigration tour at Men in Black.
ask any TM that is working the line.
if it is not crowded, and a low period, they can allow you to do the self tour of it

this is off the subject but i'll tell you why i won't go back to mamma della
i have a mushroom allergy.
when there, i was told the sauce is made with mushrooms and they could not substitue the sauce due to allergies.
thinking back, i guess it is pre made and no alternatives?

I have unfortunately noticed similar type service at a few of the "upscale" restaurants at WDW and UO. Some of these waiters seem to think they are working at some exclusive country club and not a theme park eatery.
According to stats Canada our household income is in the top 6% in Canada. So we can afford to eat where we want. However I don't dress or act the part while I'm on vacation in Orlando. We go for dinner in our vacation clothes and I don't like wine. I just simply don't like wine. I've never aquired a taste for it. DW doesn't like it either. So are we expected to order an expensive bottle of wine to appease the stuffy waiter and run up his tip for him? LOL!
Anyway I have observed downgraded service at some of these places at WDW and UO based on the waiters pre-judgement of the people they are waiting on. I will probably never go back to California Grill because of the waiter we had there last trip. I was wearing a golf shirt and kaki type shorts after a long day at MK. I ordered a beer not wine. He really gave off the vibe that we were second rate customers. The place had a mixture of attire. Some were wearing "dress" clothes some dressed like us and some dressed lower on the scale than us. It really seemed that the people who were dressed up and ordered wine got much better service.
This type of thing really irritates me. My income is just fine and I tip very well when on vacation.

I forgot to add a great experience we had this past December.
Morimoto's at Disney Springs. We had probably the best service I've had on an Orlando vacation. Not only was our waitress exceptional, but the busboy was outstanding as well. Food was fantastic as well. For the record we were dressed in our park clothes.
